Dr. Ben Kim's Natural Health Newsletter

Dear Reader,
If you experience intermittent heartburn, burping, and
other signs of indigestion often associated with acid
reflux, you may have something called a hiatal hernia -
in my experience, this type of hernia is more common than
most people realize.
For thoughts on addressing acid reflux, including specific
physical measures that can encourage regression of a hiatal
hernia, please feel free to view my updated post on this
topic here:

Hello, Dr. Kim, I enjoy your site, your newsletters and
your products - thank you. I wanted to let you know that
not only do I LOVE your coconut butter, but coconut oil
and coconut butter have been extremely therapeutic for me.
I have been hypothyroid since 10 years old, have suffered
15 years of depression, obesity, general fatigue, and
sleepiness.
Even though I've taken thyroid supplement for 35 years
and anti-depressants for 15, my energy levels and mood
did not change much. I have tried and I use many
nutritional supplements and I can feel that they make a
difference in my health.
But the coconut oil has been nothing short of miraculous.
It increases my energy levels, improves my mood, and helps
me be alert during the day. The change is quite marked,
like night and day.
I have even lost (unneeded body mass). Understand that
these have been severe, disabling problems for me. I have
done lots of experimenting with coconut oil and I am
certain that I have identified this cause and effect. I
know that everyone is different and that things do not
affect us all the same, but please share this information
on your site about how coconut oil may help others.
Nothing is a cure-all for my symptoms and I have to rely
on a lot of behavior and lifestyle changes to get along,
but the coconut oil is the closest thing to a magic pill
that I've ever experienced.
And I enjoy the coconut butter much more than the oil for
dosing myself with a couple of straight tablespoonfuls and
it seems to have the same effect as just the oil. Yum!
Thanks again,
- Karen
Thanks to Karen for sharing her experience as well. Regular
intake of coconut may not lead to marked and rapid health
improvement in everyone, but I do feel that use of coconut is
worthwhile for those who have issues with thyroid function.

oil you can use for cooking because of its stability, please see:

A recent study in the news suggests that coconut oil is not
a healthy food choice. My thought on this is that this contention
is based on a lack of understanding of the roles that saturated
fatty acids play in supporting human health, and the distinctions
between damaged and undamaged fatty acids and cholesterol. If
you're curious about these distinctions, you can find relevant
articles via the search function at our site, https://drbenkim.com.
Wishing you and your loved ones all good things,
Ben Kim
Thought of the Moment:
I'm not going to get somewhere and say, 'OK, I'm done.' Success
is never final; I'll just keep on going. The same way as failure
never being fatal. Just keep going. I'm going to the stars and
then past them.
