Rejuvenate Your Legs

Rejuvenate Your Legs and Feet By Healing Your Painful Nerves

What causes nerve pain? For as long as medicine has been recorded, this question has stumped even the most brilliant medical minds.

But thanks to a flash of insight from the researchers at John Hopkins Medial School, we have a definitive answer. The origin of all nerve pain comes from damaged nerves and nerve cells (neurons), which are incapable of healing themselves.

When your nerves are damaged, your legs and feet are in constant pain. Damaged nerves stream non-stop pain signals to your brain, bringing on feelings of burning, tingling, numbness…stabbing and shooting pains…among others.

This damage is often the result of the protective coating surrounding your nerves, called myelin, getting too thin, making your nerves exceptionally vulnerable to injury and sensitive to even the slightest touch.

Damaged nerves ruin your circulation, too. Nerve damage causes the tiny blood vessels at your nerve endings to restrict, preventing healthy blood flow to your legs and feet. This slow moving blood causes your legs to swell and makes them feel like they weigh a thousand pounds!

12 Vital Nutrients That Relieve Nerve Pain

Vitamin and herbal supplements can help provide lasting relief from nerve pain by supplying your body with nutrients critical to nerve health. Here are 12 that research proves to be the strongest, most effective.

• Vitamin B2 also known as Riboflavin is a potent antioxidant that clears away free radicals in nerve cells, resulting in powerful relief from nerve pain. Free radicals can cause your nerve cells to die and can also signal your brain to feel pain (even when you’re fine). So you can imagine why vitamin B2 is so critically important. It keeps pain away by keeping free radicals out.

• Vitamin B6 is one of the best vitamins around for eliminating pain, tingling, and numbness that’s brought on by nerve pain and neuropathy and diabetes. One study reports that taking B6 with several other nutrients mentioned in this post can slash pain levels by 48.9%! And that’s because it helps carry oxygen into your nerves; giving them the energy and nutrients they need to thrive.

• Vitamin B12 has the extraordinary ability to heal damaged nerve cells and even regenerate healthy new ones! This was proven fact in a recent study published in the Journal of Neurological Science. When your nerves are damaged, your body feels pain and you lose sensation in your legs and feet. Sometimes you’ll experience burning.

• Vitamin B1 works in two ways to relieve pain and restore health in your legs and feet. First, by boosting the production of myelin, the thick protective coating around your nerves. When it gets too thin, your nerves can “short circuit” sending pain signals to your brain. And second, by speeding up the communications that move from nerve-to-nerve. If the impulses are too slow, you’ll lose sensation in your feet. But when there fast, like they will be with Vitamin B1, you feel everything!

• L-Arginine is a powerful amino acid that gives your blood flow an enormous boost, bringing on tremendous relief from burning, tingling, numbness and heavy, tired legs. When your circulation is slow, nutrient rich, oxygen rich blood can’t reach your most important nerves. And gets jammed up in your veins, eventually leaking out, causing your legs and feet to feel heavy and painful. L-Arginine delivers nutrient dense, oxygen rich blood to your legs and feet that they need to look and feel healthy!

• ALA is the most one of today’s most researched ingredients for nerve pain and is caused “the new treatment for neuropathic pain” after spectacular clinical results. In a recent study published by the Journal of Diabetes Care, ALA brought on tremendous relief from burning, tingling, numbness in peoples legs and feet in just 5 weeks! And that’s because ALA provides remarkable antioxidant protection from free radicals that damage nerves.

• Horse Chest Nut is stunningly effective at turning restless, tired, and heavy legs into young and healthy ones! And that’s because Horse Chest Nut has the amazing ability to strengthen your artery walls and remove fluid from your legs that’s weighing your down. Slow moving blood causes your veins to swell, and eventually this blood leaks into your legs. This extra fluid causes them to feel heavy and can make life a nightmare. Horse Chest Nut gets rid of this fluid and makes your veins are stronger than ever so they never leak again!

• Boswellia is nature’s most powerful form of pure relief and works better on your pain than some of today’s top painkillers. In a recent study reported by Natural News, Boswellia reduced chronic by 90%! And that’s without any side effects. Boswellia works by blocking the enzymes that cause all pain — when your hurt, these enzymes break down. Boswellia prevents this break down, turning off pain entirely. Allowing you to heal pain free!

• Feverfew relieves nerve pain in a powerful through its high concentrations of parthenolide, a powerful compound that quells inflammation. When your nerves are inflamed, they send signals to your brain that they’re hurt. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, Feverfew prevents pain by soothing the inflammation that’s causing your nerves to fire.

• Oat Straw works almost exclusively on calming and relaxing your nerves so that they don’t signal pain. According to Natural News, Oat Straws high concentration of B vitamins is why the nutrient is so effective!

• Passion Flower is strikingly effective at calming your nerves, preventing them from firing off uncontrollably, which causes pain, muscle spasms, and cramps. By increasing your levels of GABA, a pleasure chemical found in your brain, Passion Flower unleashes and incredible tranquilizing affect over your entire body, especially your nerves. Relieving your pain in the gentlest way possible.

• Skullcap is another nutrient that can bring relaxation to your nerves. And according to well-known herbalist, David Hoffman, Skullcap “effectively soothes nervous tension while renewing and revivifying the central nervous system.” When your nerves are calm, your entire body can feel it. And if you have nerve pain or neuropathy, that couldn’t be more important. Calm nerves mean happy legs and feet!

Today there is only one supplement that provides these ingredients in the right dosages, delivering real relief you can count on.

Falsehoods in the news - but there is a way out!

Having lived past 3/4 of a century mark - then looking at the world today; what really bothers me is mainly three (3) things.  Stupidly, Ignorance and Evil!
All of which can be avoided and blocked from your earthly existence!

The first two are part of the normal human existence and thus must be dealt with as needed and often as practical or when noticed.  The fact today seems to be just stay oblivious and play dumb and things will work out! What a fool hearted way to exist and handle your life!

The third or most damaging and destrctive element in life is falling into or following pure Evil!
 It will take you further than you ever wanted to go;
 It will keep you longer than you ever wanted to stay;
It will cost you more than you can ever hope to pay!

This is not a made up story or an attempt to entertain you; This it is a horrible fact of existence for all humans born on this earth! Evil thrives on foolish ideas, greed, and self-centeredness. If you had just one thing to control in your life the destruction of Evil would be it!  Unfortunately we humans are not capable of total absence from evil in our life!

A Warning To God's People for this Time

Many professed followers of God are distracted and paralyzed by the fears of last day events. If Satan succeeds in getting God's people to focus on these things instead of giving the last message, he has succeeded in eliminating them from God's last work.

Our message is not to get people up in arms about helicopters, men in black uniforms, and the coming "new world order", etc.- our message is to be the Words of Life. The end of the world as we know it is at hand - Christ is coming soon. Eternal lives are at stake.

Ezekiel 33:11 ... As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked,, but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, 0 house of Israel?

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

John 6:37 ... him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out.

I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

I John 3:3 And every man that has this hope in him; purified himself, even as HE is pure.

Christ's Blood on the Mercy Seat

{This has been varified in the 1990's}

Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. (The fulfillment of this prophecy is in the next verses.)

Matthew 27.50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a Loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom,, and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent 52 And the graves were opened,, and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

This earthquake "rent" the rocks...

John 19:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. 35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knows that he saith true, that ye might believe.

The Blood of Christ fell through the crack in the rock, down upon the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant.

Matthew 28:2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

On the first day of the week, when God resurrected Christ, there was another earthquake which closed the crack in the rock through which His Blood fell. No dirt or debris was allowed to fall upon the Mercy Seat and defile it.

1John 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ, not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit and the water, and the blood. and these three agree in one. 9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater. for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

As above stated, the Spirit and the Blood and Water which sprang forth from Christ's side at His death, "bear witness" in the earth - and this "witness" will be revealed to all mankind at the appointed or "due" time. We believe that time is almost at hand.

Revelation 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament and there were lightnings, and voices, and thundering, and an earthquake, and great hail.

When the Loud Cry of the third angel, emphasizing these facts, is finished, God's work on earth is finish - probation closes, and the plagues follow in rapid succession. But before probation closes, we will bring forth the Tables of Stone with the commandments that all who will be given access to the Tree of Life will obey, and the world will see the Ark upon which His Blood fell.

In an instant, death was defeated by the greatest sacrifice in all eternity.

Dare we - even for an instant - lose sight of what has been done for us?
I pray not. And lest we do, we are reminded by the prophet, Habakkuk, who saw the future coming of the Savior in the heavens, that He STILL bears the mark of the spear in His side from which flowed His Precious Blood.

Habakkuk 3:4 And His brightness was as the light; he had bright beams coming out of His side: and there was the hiding of His power...

BUT then there is a great reunion in Heaven!

When God Wipes Away Our Tears

Posted: 21 July 1963 @ 08:15

Revelation 21:1-7
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my (child) son.

Only God is Immortal - Mankind is NOT Immortal

Christ Will Soon Return for His Faithful- Let Us All Be Ready
By Ron Wyatt & Kevin Fisher

===================

Some have said be are immortal beings who will live forever. But notice this text that say there is only One who has immortality:

1 Timothy 6:14 ... our Lord Jesus Christ 15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords, 16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and power everlasting. Amen.

Job 14:14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. 15 Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee, thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands....

Notice friend in the following text, in this clear, black and white quote (It is not vague, and it cannot be interpreted two different ways), when we go to the grave and we do not know anything:

Ecclesiastes 9: I0 Whatsoever thy hand finds to do, do it with thy might, for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goes.

Notice what happens to our thoughts when we die:

Psalms 146:4 His breath goes forth, he returns to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.

What happens to the soul than sins?

Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine, as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sins, it shall die.... 20 ... The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

   =========================

The FIRST Deception - Man is Immortal

Genesis 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die.

This lie by Satan caused Adam and Eve's fall. It has caused the destruction of billions down through the ages, and will yet bring about the destruction of billions now living upon the earth.

God has told us how much the dead actually know:

Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward , for the memory of them is forgotten. 6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished,, neither have they any more a portion forever in any thing that is done under the sun.... 10 Whatsoever thy hand finds to do, do it with thy might, for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goes.

At the second coming, the Lord will call, and we will be changed in a moment, and will answer Him:

Job 14:14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. 15 Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands ... 20 Thou prevailest for ever against him, and he passes: thou changes his countenance, and sends him away. 21 His sons come to honor, and he knows it not, and they are brought low, but he perceive it not of them.

At the latter day our Redeemer will stand on the earth, and in our NEW flesh we will see Him:

Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer lives, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: 26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: 27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

THESE STATEMENTS CLEARLY INFORM US THAT THE SOUL AND BODY ARE UNCONSCIOUS DURING DEATH. Remember, God never "alters the thing that has gone out of My lips."

What About Being Absent From The Body?

We need not be confused by what Paul (by divine inspiration) says in:

2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

This is a grey text that could be taken one of two ways. First we could assume Paul meant when we die we immediately go to heaven, which would be contrary to the rest of the Bible
(such as Ecc. 9:5,6,10 that we read earlier which is a clear, black and white statement that "the dead know not anything", 50 times in the Bible it is said the dead sleep).
Or second, we could interpret it as meaning when a Christian (in word and deed) dies, their next conscious moment will be at the resurrection of the just, when they awake from their sleep. The moment they receive their new body will be at the resurrection when they will then be with the Lord.

Notice in the following text how the dead and the living will all meet the Lord at the same time, at Christ's return to this earth:

I Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God. and the dead in Christ shall rise first. 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

This unawareness of the passage of time is demonstrated by people who have been in a coma from a head injury, or any one of us who have gone to sleep tired and been awakened in what seemed to us seconds, but was in fact several hours. Also, people who are anesthetized for surgery have no awareness of the passage of time, if well anesthetized.

Remember- God never "alters the thing that has gone out of My lips."

The Thief on The Cross

You may ask about the thief on the cross who was told by Jesus, "Verily I say unto thee, today you will be with me in paradise" Mark 23:43. We should note that the punctuation in the Bible was added around 1000 AD, when the comma in this text was placed by men. What if the comma after "thee" was placed after the word "today?" It would read, "Verily I say unto thee today, you will be with me in paradise."

Meaning, this day I am saying, you will be with me in paradise some day. There are two reasons why the latter interpretation is correct. First, for Christ to have meant He was going to heaven at His death would mean He is saying something contrary to the rest of the Bible. Second, on Sunday morning he said to Mary, "Touch me not, for I am not yet ascended to my Father" John 20:17. Jesus did not go to heaven Friday at His death. He was asleep in the grave, awaiting His resurrection.

===================

The Death and Resurrection of Lazarus

What about Lazarus who was sick, but died before Christ made it to his home? He died and was resurrected several days later.

John 11:11-14, 23-24 "'Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.' Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. Howbeit Jesus spake of his death; but they thought that he had spoken of taking rest in sleep. Then said Jesus unto them plainly, 'Lazarus is dead.'...Jesus saith unto her [Martha], 'Thy brother shall rise again.' Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day"

Notice Jesus called death a sleep and Martha knew that Lazarus would sleep until the last day of this earth. Also, did Lazarus ever speak of being in heaven?

What about Saul Consulting a Medium and Speaking to Samuel?

Is this proof of the dead communicating with us? Let's take a look at the scripture.

I Samuel 28:3 "Now Samuel had died, and all Israel had lamented for him and buried him in Ramah, in his own city. And Saul had put the mediums and the spiritists out of the land."

Notice how the mediums and spiritists had not been wanted in the area and were removed from the area. These people are like today's palm readers or seance leaders, who do the work of spiritulism. God condemned them in Lev. 20:27 "A man or a woman who is a medium, or who has familiar spirits, shall surely be put to death."

I Samuel 28:6 "And when Saul inquired of the Lord, the Lord did not answer him, either by dreams or by Urim or by the prophets."

God was not communicating with Saul who was in need of an answer. It may have been because Saul was out of touch with God at this point. He had murdered the priests at the tabernacle of Nob, and had deliberately refused to wait for God's counsel at Gilgal (13:8-14).
Notice that he resorted to seeking information from a source he had earlier condemned. He was following heathen superstition by calling on the supposed spirits of the dead for help. Saul had long been troubled by evil spirits and was now at their mercy (16:14-16).

I Samuel 28:8 "Then Saul said to his servants, 'Find me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her.' And his servants said to him, 'In fact, there is a woman who is a medium at
En Dor."

Notice what happens in the seance.

I Samuel 28:11-13 "...bring up Samuel for me....What did you see? And the woman said to Saul, 'I saw a spirit ascending out of the earth.' Notice here how the woman sees the spirit came out of the earth, not from heaven. How could the woman actually see Samuel when Jesus has told us that He has gone to prepare a place for us, and will "come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also." John 14:1-3. Samuel is asleep in his grave awaiting Christ's return.

I Samuel 28:15 "Now Samuel said to Saul, 'Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up.'" Here the narrative calls the being Samuel, but in reality it was Satan personating Samuel.

We cannot believe an encounter between two people out of the will of God, Saul and the medium, would produce something from Him. This entire encounter was from the spirit of darkness.

Leviticus. 20:6 "And the person who turns to mediums and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people."

The Rich Man and Lazarus

In Luke 16:19-31 we find this story which is called a parable in most Bibles, of a rich man and a poor man named Lazarus who are both faced with their respective rewards, life or death. The rich man is in Hades looking over to Lazarus who was flown by angels to Abraham's bosom.

This is a parable designed to meet the Jews in their thinking, focusing upon Abraham, while conveying the importance of our individual rewards. In many ways, it represented the state of the Jewish nation and the Pharisees who had rejected God in their richness, while having no compassion for the poor. The Jews were erring in thinking they would be saved merely by their lineage of Abraham and not upon character.

The old testament does not speak of life immediately after death, but Judaism at this time had come up with the theory of a conscious state between death and the resurrection and Christ used this parable to convey His point. The parable contains props which are not based upon biblical teachings, such as those suffering torment look over to those in heaven, the saved laying on Abraham's bosom, etc.

Jesus' own statements contradict any supposition that the parable of the rich man and Lazarus is literal, such as, "The Son of man shall . . . reward every man according to his works" when He "shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels." (Matt. 16:27; 25:31-41;
1 Corinthians. 15:51-55;
1 Thess. 4:16, 17;
Rev. 22:12, etc.)

What is the Soul?

Is it a separate spirit apart from the body or is it a living person? Notice what makes a living soul:

Genesis 2:7 "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."

There has to be a body which has the breath of life given by God, in order for man to become a living soul. Our spirit is our breathe, which God breathes into us making us a living soul. The act of recreating our soul by uniting our body with the breath God gives us will again take place at the resurrection for those who are faithful.

Those who live during the last days of this earth, you and I possibly, will be tempted by the false Christ. His evil angels will personate our deceased loved-ones who will be telling us that Christ has changed His Ten Commandment Law.

The idea of living forever, even in a ghost-like state, originated by Satan and has been promoted by spiritualists.

Revelation 16.13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet 14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Revelation 3: 10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly. hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Does our "spirit" go to heaven after death?

Do we enter a ghost-like state after we die? Do we then go to heaven as a spirit?

Most people will say that our "spirit" goes to heaven after we die, and we continue living in a conscious state in heaven, much like a spirit. Then when the resurrection comes, we are reunited with a new body on earth.

Let's take a look at the word "spirit" as it is used in a text provided to me by someone who believes we are immortal. Ecclesiastes 12:7 "Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it." In order to understand this text, we have to look up the meaning of the Hebrew word for spirit. It is Strongs' word number 7307 "ruwach (roo'-akh) wind; by resemblance breath, i.e. a sensible (or even violent) exhalation." So the Bible says in Eccl. 12:7 that our body will return to the earth, and our breath will return to God. Notice how this is reverse to our creation, Genesis 2:7 "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being [soul]."

So when we die, the reverse of creation takes place, where our breath goes back to God. Nowhere in the Bible does it say we become a ghost in heaven after we die.
The only time we are conscious, is when we have a body. A body plus the breath of God = a living soul. When we get our new bodies at the second coming, we will again be conscious, as God will again breathe into us the breath of life, but this time it will be eternal!!!

A Sure Foundation:
The Integrity of the Word

I. Mark 4:26
“And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as
if a man should cast seed into the ground.”

A. This is a comparison
between how the kingdom of God works and how a seed works.

1.The seed symbolizes the Word of God.

2.Mark 4:14: The sower sows the Word.

3.He used a seed because it’s a natural law, not a man-made system.
You need to see the importance, integrity, and value of the Word.

B.The kingdom of God works off of the Word.

C. It’s effortless.

1.Apple trees don’t
struggle to produce fruit.

2.The only reason change is a terrible experience is because of the way we go about trying to get the change.

3.Change comes by sowing the Word in your heart.

4.Joshua 1:8:
“. . . thou shalt meditate therein day and night.”

D. We expect change but live
carnally and don’t take the Word seriously.

1.Proverbs 4:20-24:
“. . . they are life unto
those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”

2.Don’t wait until it’s too late to make changes.

2 II. Mark 4:27-28
“And should sleep, and rise night and day, and
the seed should spring and grow up, he knows not how. For the earth brings forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.”

A. There’s a law to seed, time, and harvest.

1.Time can become your friend.

2.You can’t wait until the night before harvest to plant your seed.

3.Once you allow time to elapse, you’ve built up momentum, and the
benefits are forever.

B.You don’t even have to
understand; it just works.

C. Mark4: 28:
“. . . brings forth fruit of herself.”
Greek word is automatos. It
means self-moved or automatic.

D.Rom 12:2:
“. . . but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
It takes time for the Word of God to spring up and start working in your life. But, it’s the nature of the Word to produce change.
Your labor will be rewarded!

III. Mark 4:29
“But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the
harvest is come.”

A. You can’t go out every day to see if your seed is growing.

B.Harvest comes when we use the millions of seeds God gave us.

IV. Mark 4:35-41
“And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto
the other side. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was
in the ship.
And there were also with him other little ships.
And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the stern of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and saying unto him, Master, do you care not that
we perish?

And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind
ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful?

how is it that ye have no faith?

And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and
the sea obey him?”

A.Jesus taught ten parables
on the same day about the importance of the Word.

B.He gave them a specific word:
“Let us pass over unto the other side.”

C. The disciples should have taken His teachings and applied them.

D. He had given them a pop quiz, and they failed.

Cher lecteur,

Dear Reader,

Over the weekend, I came across a passage in Ray Dalio's book
on life principles that prompted reflection on the determinants
of a special friendship.  One of Ray's thoughts is that for a
truly special friendship to exist, there must be uncalculating
flow of generosity both ways, not marked by the dollar value of
material and experiential gifts, but a pureness of spirit in
genuinely rooting for a friend to experience his or her highest
good without a self-serving agenda.

I think it's worth thinking about how many such friendships we
have.  I definitely want our sons to experience even one such
friendship during the course of their lives, so it's natural for
me to consider if I have one of my own.

So perhaps worth asking yourself:  how many non-family friends
do you have who have shown you through their behaviour that they
genuinely root for your highest good, even if you can do nothing
to add to their physical comfort?

In my life thus far, while I'm immensely thankful to have spent
time with some beautiful souls, I think it's accurate to say that
I've known more selfish and stingy people than I have those
Ray writes about in his book.  I don't mean to be critical or a
Debbie Downer - I only mean to honestly reflect on what constitutes
a special friendship.

To have room in our lives for such friendships, I feel it's
essential that we recognize and consciously avoid those are looking
mostly to use others rather than be a source of light, laughter,
and empathy.  And so I share an updated post on how sometimes, you
just have to say good-bye:

I'll post this at our Facebook page in case any of you wish to
share thoughts on this topic or even just give a shoutout to
a special friend or two.  :)

How Strong Our Savior is

The Most Important Passage in the Whole of Scripture

Michael J. Kruger

I have been teaching a weekly Bible study on the book of Romans to women in the Charlotte community. For the last several months, we have been plodding our way through the first three chapters as Paul has laid out his case that all mankind—Jew and Gentile—are sinful and rightly under the judgment of God.  Paul finishes this section of his letter with this monumental statement: “For by works of the Law no human being will be justified in his sight” (Rom 3:20).

You can almost hear the gavel fall with a boom.
Thankfully, Paul does not end his letter here. This morning, in the last installment of the women’s study for the Fall term (we will resume in the new year), we will move onto to 3:21 and following.

There Paul utters two of the most beautiful words in all of Scripture, “But now….” These two little words provide a great sigh of relief for any sin-wracked soul wondering about his fate.
“But now” tells us that something has been done to solve the problem of our sins.

What is it that solves the problem of our sins? “A righteousness of (from) God has been manifested apart from the law… through faith in Jesus Christ” (3:21–22). Luther referred to these verses as “the center of the whole Bible.” Martin Lloyd Jones called it “the most important and crucial passage in the whole of Scripture.” Leon Morris said it is “possibly the most important single paragraph ever written.”

This passage is the basis for the great Reformation doctrine of sola fide—the idea that we are saved by faith alone and not by the works of the law.

But Paul makes a critical clarification here. He makes it clear that the righteous status we so desperately need comes through faith (v.22), but it is not the faith itself that is the grounds of our justification. The grounds of our justification—the reason God can declare us sinners to be righteous—is because of the righteousness of Christ given to us. He can regard us as righteous because a righteous status has been granted to us.

Thus, faith is merely the instrument or the means by which that righteous status is attained.

This is a critical reminder for Christians today. Whenever our world discusses religion, they will praise the merits of “faith” and laud people who possess it (think Oprah Winfrey). But notice the world never praises the merits of the object of that faith. It doesn’t matter what you believe in (after all, all religions are the same), what matters is that you are sincerely committed.

For our world, then, faith is its own object.
Contrast that to what Paul is saying in Rom 3:21–22.
Paul is saying that you are not saved because of faith (as if it were meritorious in itself), but you are saved through and by faith in Christ. The object of the faith is what is definitive.

So, the Reformed doctrine of sola fide does not mean what the world might think it means. For the world, it simply means that all you need is faith. For the Reformers, it meant faith is the sole instrument by which you acquire a righteous status in Christ (and thus not by works).

For those who doubt their faith and find their faith to be weak, this is a great encouragement. Our hope is not in how strong our faith is, but in how strong and righteous our Savior is.

Benefits of Scripture Memory, Part 2

Here is the follow up on benefiting your life!

Chapter 8.
Seven Immediate Benefits of Scripture Memory, Part 2

Every student well-trained in God’s kingdom is like the owner of a general store who can put his hands on anything you need, old or new, exactly when you need it.
(Matthew 13:52 The Message)
But there’s more.
Scripture memory also gives us healthier emotions. I’m convinced that little biblical capsules (memory verses) are the best medicine for sustained emotional health. Like most people, I’ve struggled with my temper in times past, but no anger management technique is as powerful as memorizing verses like Proverbs 29:11: “A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control” (NIV).

If you struggle with depression, you’ll find a potent antidote in memorizing Psalm 42, or the opening verses of Psalm 103. If you’re anxious, internalize Philippians 4:6-7. If you struggle with a low self-image, get Romans 12:1-8 into your noggin. If you’re hard to get along with, irritable, and unpersonable, memorize Romans 12:17-21. If you lack discipline and self-control, a bunch of verses in Proverbs are just waiting to be planted in your head. If you struggle with guilt, read 1 John 1:7-9 and quote it to yourself until it penetrates your thinking and changes the core of your heart.

The sturdy truths of God’s Word will enable you to keep your wits even in crises.
Several years ago in Sweden, I found an English-speaking book telling one of the most gripping stories I’ve ever read: Evidence Not Seen: One Woman’s Faith in a Japanese POW Camp. The author, Darlene Deibler Rose, was captured in Asia, like the woman I mentioned earlier {in part 1 Scripture Memory}, by the Japanese during World War II; and her experiences were also truly harrowing. She went into the camp with her Bible, but the guards took it away; however, they could not remove the memorized Scriptures from her mind.

“Much time was passed repeating Scripture,” Darlene wrote. “As a child and young person, I had had a driving compulsion to memorize the written Word. In the cell I was grateful now for those days in Vacation Bible School, when I had memorized many single verses, complete chapters, and Psalms, as well as whole books of the Bible. In the years that followed, I reviewed the Scriptures often. The Lord fed me with the Living Bread that had been stored against the day when fresh supply was cut off by the loss of my Bible. He brought daily comfort and encouragement—yes, and joy—to my heart through the knowledge of the Word.”

Darlene continued, “Paul, the apostle, wrote that it was through the comfort of the Scriptures that he had hope and steadfastness of heart to believe God. I had never needed the Scriptures more than in these months on death row, but since so much of His Word was there in my heart, it was not the punishment the Kempeitai had anticipated when they took my Bible.”

In the book Who’s in Charge?
Pastor Ben Patterson claims that memorizing selected Scriptures has helped him stay mentally healthy amid the rigors of criticism in the ministry. He said, “When I was young, I never won any awards for Sunday school Scripture memory contests. Someone else always rode away on the ten-speed bicycle at the end of the year. But in the last three years I’ve discovered that Scripture can give voice to things I don’t know how to express. It transforms the things churning inside me and brings real healing to my soul.

“One summer I memorized the twelfth chapter of Hebrews. At the time the entire chapter seemed autobiographical: running the race set before us, remembering Jesus, who endured the cross, who didn’t lose heart though scorned by men. The chapter reminded me that pain is a discipline God uses in my life: I was in training, and the pain caused by criticism was my coach.”
Bible verses, well memorized, are stabilizers for our nerves, strengthening our attitudes and improving our emotions.

Scripture memory also gives us purer habits. The practice of memorizing and meditating on the Bible is the primary way to accelerate spiritual growth in your life. It speeds up the transformation process and leads to holier habits. After all, spiritual maturity is simply thinking more as God thinks; so as we implant His thoughts into our minds, using Scripture memory, and as we use the process of meditation to convert those verses into regular thought patterns, we’re developing the mind of Christ (Phil. 2:5), yielding mature thoughts, pure habits, and holier lives. The psalmist said, “Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You” (Ps. 119:11 NKJV).

When John Crawford was in the navy, one of the games played aboard ship was the anchor pool. Each participating sailor would put in his money and guess what time they would drop anchor. The exact time was recorded in the ship’s log, and the one with the closest guess got the money. It seemed like an innocent game, and the other sailors encouraged him to join in. It was tempting, and he wanted to be a good sport. But he knew they also wanted his money and that gambling wasn’t a habit he wanted to begin.

As the temptation intensified, John decided to seal himself with memorized Scriptures. He chose Proverbs 13:11: “Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished; but he that gathereth by labour shall increase” (KJV), and Proverbs 23:5: “Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away, as an eagle toward heaven” (KJV).
Not only did those verses fortify John against the temptations of the moment, they enabled him to establish lifelong patterns regarding integrity, honesty, and the role of money in his life.
I think of memorized Scripture as divine detergent in the brain, constantly washing my mind and cleansing and clarifying my thoughts.

The psalmist said, “I’ve banked your promises in the vault of my heart so I won’t sin myself bankrupt” (Ps. 119:11 The Message). No temptation catches us devoid of potential Bible verses specifically designed to combat it. God has given us texts to cover any temptation and all sin.
If we struggle with depression, we have Psalm 42. If we struggle with materialism and greed, we have 1 Timothy 6. If our besetting sin is a foul mouth or an angry spirit, we have Ephesians 4.
If it’s lust, pornography, or immorality, learn the first part of Ephesians 5.

The Bible is an offensive weapon, the sword of the Spirit. By quoting Old Testament texts He’d memorized, Jesus struck down every temptation Satan flung at Him on Temptation Mount. And we can do the same. Determine your weakest links, then search out verses to combat those struggles. Memorize them diligently; and you’ll find, in the words of an old evangelist, that sin will keep you from the Bible, or the Bible will keep you from sin.

“The instruction of his God is in his heart,” says Psalm 37:31, “his steps do not falter.”

Amen
