The Northen Lights on display

I have been to Iceland - a beautiful clean country; in December a few years ago,  and it was delightful visit!

Leave it to the Icelandic to know how to watch Aurora Borealis the right way. As the Northern Lights were due to illuminate the night sky over the Reykjavik, the capital’s city council turned off street lights for more than an hour, the BBC reports.

Celestial phenomenon are often hard to see in large population centers where sources like streetlights and brightly lit buildings drown out sights that require darker skies. The reduced light pollution over the city made the emerald glow extremely clear to see, as images posted over the night on social media show.

Thankfully, the lucky residents of Reykjavik didn’t need to go to Springfield to get their fix.

Obama Authorizes: “Presidential Memorandum – Climate Change And National Security”

By Dane Wigington

The stakes are raising by the day as the Earth's climate and life support systems continue to unravel. The US military has long since acknowledged that the disintegrating climate system is the greatest national security threat of all. What has never been admitted to by our government, the military, mainstream media, and legions of academicians (that are either paid off or threatened into silence), is the ongoing global climate engineering assault. Geoengineering/solar radiation management programs are nothing short of weather and biological warfare (due to the highly toxic fallout from the climate engineering programs). The recent "Presidential Memorandum" from President Obama is revealing. Not just because of what it covers, but because of the glaring omission of the climate engineering issue which is only eluded to in the document (excerpts below - please see the full article for all excerpts).

Presidential Memorandum — Climate Change and National Security

September 21, 2016
MEMORANDUM FOR THE HEADS OF EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES
SUBJECT: Climate Change and National Security
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby direct the following:
Section 1. Purpose. This memorandum establishes a framework and directs Federal departments and agencies (agencies) to perform certain functions to ensure that climate change-related impacts are fully considered in the development of national security doctrine, policies, and plans.
The US military has long since stated its objective to "Own The Weather".
Sec. 2. Background. Climate change poses a significant and growing threat to national security, both at home and abroad. Climate change and its associated impacts affect economic prosperity, public health and safety, and international stability. Extended drought, more frequent and severe weather events, heat waves, warming and acidifying ocean waters, catastrophic wildfires, and rising sea levels all have compounding effects on people's health and well-being. Flooding and water scarcity can negatively affect food and energy production. Energy infrastructure, essential for supporting other key sectors, is already vulnerable to extreme weather and may be further compromised. Impacts of a changing climate can create conditions that promote pest outbreaks and the spread of invasive species as well as plant, animal, and human disease, including emerging infectious disease, and these can further undermine economic growth and livelihoods. Impacts can also disrupt transportation service, cutting off vulnerable communities from relief immediately after events and reducing economic output. These conditions, in turn, can stress some countries' ability to provide the conditions necessary for human security. All of these effects can lead to population migration within and across international borders, spur crises, and amplify or accelerate conflict in countries or regions already facing instability and fragility.

Allah Will Give You Strength To Kill And Crush

Here is what BO and Hillary have brought to America and tell you that everything is good and OKAY?

Have you got it yet??

While most American are happy watching their favorite shows, and listening to their music, worrying about who won on the " Survivors " - the Muslim world order has come in and is planning your destruction and domination!

Have you got it yet??

What gets me is that even though the Islamic's have told you so - many still do not get it!

WHOA: Truth covered up again

 Just-released transcripts CONFIRM Orlando shooter’s TRUE motive…

Following the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando back in June, the left and its media quickly circled through its cycle of denial. The attack was the worst mass public shooting on American soil — so guns became a target. Not only that, the shooting was carried out at a gay nightclub on the club’s Latin night, so another narrative quickly emerged that the attack was a hate crime.

The fact that shooter Omar Mateen had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State numerous times before the attack, and had a father with sympathies to the Taliban, made no difference.
Such an attempt by the Obama administration and the media to switch the motive from jihad to anything else comically (if it weren’t so tragic) led to al-Qaida releasing a statement urging jihadists to “avoid targeting places and crowds where minorities are generally found,” because if sympathetic minorities get killed then, “the federal government will be the one taking full responsibility.”

Part of the “confusion” — willful or not — could have been alleviated months ago, had the FBI released the transcripts earlier. Well, though the FBI has been withholding it, we’ve now finally learned the true motive — and, here’s a shocker, it wasn’t as Obama and the media had suggested. As Omar Mateen himself stated, the massacre he carried out in Orlando was motivated by opposition to America’s war on ISIS.

Discovering Your True Identity in the Midst of Life's Storms

Most of us have been on the receiving end of rejection, a broken dream, or heartbreak. And while this is not an easy space to go through, when we are grounded in the truth, we can endure the tough times.

In this powerful book, Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow passionately shares glimpses of his journey staying grounded in the face of disappointment, criticism, and intense media scrutiny.
Following an exceptional college football career with the Florida Gators and a promising playoff run with the Denver Broncos, Tebow was traded to the New York Jets. He was released after one season.

In Shaken, Tebow talks about what he’s learned along the way, building confidence in his identity in God, not the world. This moving book also features practical wisdom from Scripture and insights gained from others who have impacted Tebow in life-changing ways.

Are you committing a Civil Rights violation?

Are you committing a Civil Rights violation?

By Martin Mawyer
The U.S. Civil Rights Commission has produced a startling report declaring certain religious conduct to be a civil rights violation.
The report states that religious freedom and religious liberty are “code words for discrimination, intolerance, racism, sexism, homophobia, Islamophobia, Christian supremacy ... ”

The September report is obviously directed toward Christian Americans who believe in the fundamental values of the Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ.

The report gives further reason why our crowdfunding campaign is so important in our effort to distribute our latest book and film, The United States: A Christian Nation.

The Commission’s report, titled “Peaceful Coexistence,” says religious Americans have a First Amendment right to religious freedom, but …
… that freedom applies only to “belief,” not “conduct,” if it goes against laws.
Specifically, the commissioners were addressing the “belief” of pastors who object to performing marriages of same sex couples.

“A basic [civil] right as important as the freedom to marry should not be subject to religious beliefs,” the report states.

This is further evidence of government officials forgetting or disregarding the Christian roots and foundations of the United States.

This is why it remains so important that the Christian Action Network succeed in producing, printing and mailing both our film and our book to schools, libraries, civic organizations, government leaders and churches.

We have so far reached 22 percent of our goal.  You can help with just a small donation, even just $5, by visiting our Indiegogo page and clicking the pink BACK IT button.  I hope and pray you will.

How dangerous is this new report from the U.S. Civil Rights Commission?
Very.

In February, the U.S. Department of Justice announced the creation of a new Civil Rights Unit to be located in Boston, which will work with states throughout the country.
The mission of that office is clear:
“The unit will focus on enforcing those laws that prohibit discrimination and harassment on the basis of race, national origin, gender and religion.”

Speaking of “code” words!  Harassment is a “code” word for anyone opposing the dangerous liberal embrace of homosexuality, gay marriage, abortion, radical Islam and the like.

Our goal is to act swiftly, firmly and resolutely.

We will be contacting Congress to reject the commissioner’s report, gathering petition signers to oppose its findings, and making sure our book and film are distributed to key agencies, members of Congress and judges.

You can help by clicking here.

In a shocking statement, the U.S. Civil Rights Commission also claims “religious liberty” and “religious freedom” is “nothing but hypocrisy” among those who oppose the new sexual and religious norms.

Do the commissioners even know what that word means?

A hypocrite is someone who violates the very position he stands for!

Do they really believe Christians who oppose abortion, homosexual marriage and radical Islam are secretively having abortions, engaging in sodomy, marrying their own sex and becoming radical Muslim converts – thereby making them hypocrites?

This makes me angry.  Talk about hate!  They are the obvious hypocrites!
They preach “peace” while aiming their dagger of hatred at the hearts of Christian Americans.

Please join our campaign today and help make it a success.

The Kingdom of God Almighty or The Love of God -!

The Devil Hates the Love of God

Satan hates the love of God! He will do everything in his might to destroy that love in you and your family.

 =============================

Once you get yourself right with the Lord God all other things will fall into place!

We fuss and fight over all the trivial things in this earthly experience - yet most of it will be to no avail in the Eternity that follows...

Exactly what bothers you today?

Is it about what someone said to or about you?  Get over it!
Is it about something you heard or thought someone said?  Get over it!
Most anything you can think of that bothers you will not stand the test of Eternity; like all the lies and false events in history - they too shall pass away never to be considered again!

Seek the truth - for only by living the Truth will you ever come to know the One True Lord God Almighty!  Read Matt 6:33

The Kingdom of God or Heaven can be seen in many of the following messages:

A king is a supreme ruler. An absolute monarchy, the undivided rule of a single person, is not a form of government familiar to most of us. Most people are more aware of the personal profiles of princes and princesses, along with exposés of their errors and excesses, than they are of the monarchy itself.

Fewer still are aware that the concept of a monarchy is to be found in the New Testament and that it has a direct connection to the future of mankind.
In Matthew 6:9-13 Jesus Christ gave a model for people who wish to learn how to pray effectively. Most people know this passage as the Lord's Prayer. But do they consider its content?

Twice in this prayer outline Jesus refers to the Kingdom of God. First is a plea for that kingdom to “come”; then follows an acknowledgment that God indeed has a kingdom. When we acknowledge that God has a kingdom, we also acknowledge that He is royalty.
Scripture shows that the Kingdom of God is yet to come, and the world will see an obvious, dramatic occurrence when it is established. Few religions, however, believe this. Few even acknowledge the word kingdom except in an ethereal sense.
What does the Bible have to say about the Kingdom of God?

Kingdom theme in the Gospels

The Zondervan Pictorial Encyclopedia of the Bible says this about the Kingdom of God: “The word 'kingdom' is found fifty-five times in Matthew; twenty times in Mark, forty-six times in Luke and five times in John. When allowance is made for the use of the word to refer to secular kingdoms and for parallel verses of the same sayings of Jesus, the phrase 'the kingdom of God' and equivalent expressions (e.g., 'Kingdom of heaven,' 'his kingdom') occurs about eighty times . . . These statistics show the great importance of the concept in the teachings of Jesus . . . There can, therefore, be little doubt that the phrase 'the kingdom of God' expresses the main theme of His teaching” (Vol. III, Zondervan, Grand Rapids, 1976, p. 804).

Studying the preceding references to the Kingdom in the four Gospels gives us much understanding. Consider, for example, these points:
  • The message Jesus commissioned His early apostles to teach is called the good news, or gospel, of the Kingdom of God (Luke 9:1-2).
  • Jesus used the same words to announce the message His Church should broadcast through the ages: the good news of the Kingdom of God (Mark 1:14-15; Luke 8:1).
  • The Gospels frequently summarize Jesus' teachings with the same terminology: “the gospel of the kingdom” (Matthew 4:23; 9:35; 24:14).
  • Jesus equated gaining salvation with entering the Kingdom (Matthew 19:16, 23-24), and He explained the loss of salvation in terms of rejection from the Kingdom (Luke 13:28).
  • The message of salvation is called the Word of the Kingdom (Matthew 13:19).
  • The hope and comfort of a Christian are said to be in entering the Kingdom (Mark 10:15).
  • The principal goal of a Christian is to seek first the Kingdom (Matthew 6:33).
  • Righteous people are called sons of the Kingdom (Matthew 13:38).
  • The undisputed theme of many of Christ's parables is the Kingdom of God, or the Kingdom of Heaven (verses 44-45, 47).

Duality within the office of the Messiah

When Jesus' impending birth was revealed to Mary by the angel Gabriel, the unborn child was declared to be the King of a kingdom (Luke 1:30-33). He is clearly the Messiah prophesied by Isaiah, the chosen leader who was to deliver God's people both as Savior and King (Isaiah 9:6-7).

Shortly before His crucifixion, Christ entered Jerusalem in a triumphant procession during which citizens, as a high tribute, laid their clothing in his path along with branches cut from nearby trees. To grasp the significance of this event, we must review an ancient prophecy-Zechariah 9:9-10, a prophecy of a Messiah King who is also the Messiah Savior.
There can be little argument that Jesus Christ is our Savior or with the concept that He rules in our minds through the indwelling presence of God's Spirit (Galatians 5:22-25; Colossians 3:15). Yet there is even more to Christ's kingship than ruling in the minds of believers.

Many of Christ's own countrymen, like their ancestors, expectantly waited for a kingdom to be brought by a Messiah King. The overwhelming majority, however, missed the need for and significance of a Messiah Savior.

In a similar error, traditional Christian churches have long focused narrowly upon Jesus as Savior to the exclusion of His role as coming King.

Christ knew He was King

The bold prophecies of the Old Testament, combined with the Gospels and apostolic writings of the New, show that Christians ought to understand Christ both as Savior and as returning King (Daniel 7:13-14; Revelation 11:15; Acts 1:1-11).

It was Jesus' deliberate association of Himself with the prophecy in Daniel that inflamed the chief priests and settled the resolve of the Sanhedrin that Jesus must die (Mark 14:53, 61-65).

Jesus did not want His followers to expect an immediate kingdom (Luke 19:11-12), but He did purposefully cultivate their expectation for a kingdom in the future with Himself as its Monarch. The act of cutting and scattering tree branches that marked His entrance into Jerusalem shortly before His death was done as a tribute to the Messiah King in fulfillment of Zechariah's prophecy. This significance was not lost on the Pharisees (Matthew 21:1-11; Luke 19:28-40).

This teaching cost Jesus His life. When He was soon to become the Messiah Savior through His death and resurrection, He would not deny being Messiah King (John 18:33-37). When Pilate questioned Him about His kingship, Christ replied, “For this cause I was born” (verse 37).

This became the focus of the soldiers' ridicule and torture (John 19:1-3). It also formed the closing argument of Christ's accusers, who used this seditious charge to force Pilate into issuing the order to have Jesus put to death (John 19:12-16). The derisive comments made to Jesus as He was crucified further confirm He was killed because He claimed to be the Messiah King (Mark 15:31-32). Jesus' kingship was clearly marked on the sign above Him as He died (John 19:19).

Continuing Kingdom message

Both Jesus and the writers of the New Testament had countless opportunities to sever links to expectations of a coming king and kingdom spoken of by the Old Testament prophets. But, rather than cut those links, Christ and His disciples deliberately built upon them.
Daniel 7:16, 18, 22 and 27 record the promise, not only of a kingdom, but that God would give believers a part of it. The words inheritance , inherit and heir in English translations of the New Testament are taken from Greek words meaning “a lot, or a portion,” and “to possess” ( Vine's Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words , pp. 300, 325).

They are used by Paul in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21 and Ephesians 5:5 in the context of warning that habitual sins will prevent a believer from inheriting the Kingdom of God.

Paul again uses this language, in 1 Corinthians 15:50-52, a powerful reference to Christ's return, revealing that flesh-and-blood believers must be changed to spirit to inherit the Kingdom. James wrote that God selects those who are rich in faith, although they may be poor in material possessions, to be joint heirs of the Kingdom (James 2:5).

Jesus, in Luke 12:31-32, connected His teaching with Daniel's prophecy: “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”
Jesus Himself summarizes much of the teaching of the prophets and apostles: “Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world” (Matthew 25:34).

The message of a kingdom to come is indeed central to the Bible. The power of God's Kingdom is present and active in individual believers, as well as collectively in the Church, but the Kingdom has not yet come. It does not come until Christ does.
So it is with good reason that we pray, “Your Kingdom come”. GN

 Here are some great ideas.

She is the greatest women in our heart with an entire lifetime filled with many different experiences; but she is also a little girl at heart - because she cares about nothing except her close relatives and friends. Then what can you be her for a  gift on her birthday or some special festivals?

Here're some great ideas.

First, there are many nutrition and health supplements.

With the society turning its attention to health and nutrition, the nutrition and health supplements always an old heart happy.

Secondly they're accessories.

Different with those accessories sent to girls or young women, the accessories you choose for your grandma should be decent and modest but precious or with symbolic meaning.

However, if you don't have too much money, then the third choice will be your option.

Thirdly, you can choose a plush animal wholesale gift for grandma - such like as found @

( toyswill.com/rose-shape-hand-warmer-in-winter-cartoon-support-pillow ).
The soft and warm toys always can warm a older heart .

But nothing surpasses just plain attention and the love it brings....

The greatest among you will be your servant.

Matthew 23:12 "And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted."

Matthew 23:10-12 (NIV)
10 Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah.
11 The greatest among you will be your servant.
12 For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

In Romans 12:10 we are admonished to desire the welfare of others more than our own; to like others better than ourselves. That is an awesome command that is only obtainable through God's supernatural love. If this very simple, yet very profound truth could be understood and applied, then strife would cease (Prov. 13:10).

Proverbs 13:10 Amplified Bible (AMP)

10 Through pride and presumption come nothing but strife,
But [skillful and godly] wisdom is with those who welcome [well-advised] counsel.

The world would see Christianity as never before, and we would discover the true joy that comes from serving someone besides ourselves.

There is much confusion today on the subject of love because we have only one English word (love) to describe a broad aspect of meanings. For example, if I said, "I love my wife, I love apple pie, and I love my dog," obviously I am not talking about love in the same degree or definition.

God's type of love; the highest kind of love, is AGAPE. This is when we seek the welfare or betterment of others even when we don't feel affection. AGAPE love does not come from one's feelings. Jesus displayed this AGAPE kind of love by going to the cross and dying for us even though He didn't feel like dying. Jesus sought the betterment of you and me, regardless of His feelings.

We, too, can AGAPE love our enemies even though we don't have a warm feeling of affection for them. If they are hungry we can feed them; if they are thirsty we can give them a drink. We can choose to seek the betterment and welfare of others regardless of how we feel.

If anyone becomes a servant and humbles himself with the motive of being exalted, then he is not truly fulfilling Jesus' command. Jesus is teaching about a true, servant's heart, that loves others more than itself and will joyfully go without so that someone else may prosper.

What and why? part 1 of many!

What is it that separates each of us from the evil of this world?

1) Is it how others treat us?  No!

2) Is it what we hear or see happening? No!

3) Is it the stories of history? No!

4) Is it because we feel neglected and unloved? Not really!

5) Is it what we come to know about our neighbors and or family? A very strong element!

6) Is it how we seek to learn the real truth trough prayer and supplication? Yes it can be!

7) Is it our personal perceptions with our God given intelligence?  Yes, most likely!

8) Is it our ability to know oneself as a free child of God?  Yes most certainly!

9) Is it the realization that we are unique and were created by a Loving God?  Absolutely!

================================

What makes one person a reliable, thoughtful and truly concerned citizen? Love!
They would be none self centered and would enjoy loving their neighbor(s).
Not driven by greed or some form of keeping up with fads or other selective social behavior.
Such a person would be more open to those around them and willing to generally be supportive of others.  While this is not a complete listing - it is however a basic over view of a good citizen and true friend!  {Much more on this will be covered on future blogs}.

   ---------------------------------------------------

On the other side of the how and why of people; we tend to find one very common element which is that of being selfish and greedy!
In fact Greed and Self-centeredness is the key to most all the problems and troubles in this world! There are millions of cases of this trait causing most crime and discontent in world society since time began!  Going back to Cain and Able!

  ---------------------------------------------------

In looking a recent news - what we see is groups of people committing crimes  -  attacking, lying and killing simply for personal greed and self satisfaction!  It is found at every level of society today!  Because once a person is convinced that they deserve or were suppose to get special things - then they will take actions to seemingly acquire such!

It is not possible here to go into all the various ways or reasons that people seem this form of action! Rather we will present some of the key hows and whys of history!

*** Stop back as we analyze some reasons of such discontent and evil today ....

Government Police Powers

A History of Public Health Laws, Quarantine and Detention

In 1982, when parents of DPT vaccine injured children launched the vaccine safety and informed consent movement in the U.S., the public called for vaccine safety and informed consent protections in the vaccine system, while the pharmaceutical industry called on Congress to shield them from civil liability for vaccine injuries and deaths caused by federally licensed and recommended childhood vaccines. In response, Congress passed the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act in 1986 giving partial liability protection to the vaccine industry and to doctors giving vaccines to children.

In the 1990s, the pharmaceutical industry and public health and medical trade associations began lobbying state legislatures to add new vaccine mandates and restrict vaccine exemptions. Simultaneously, Congress passed HIPPA “medical privacy” legislation that created electronic medical records and vaccine tracking systems, in association with HMOs and state vaccine tracking systems, that allow vaccine researchers, pharmaceutical companies and law enforcement agencies to access the information.

Featured Commentary: Click here to read the fully referenced commentary by Barbara Loe Fisher on CDC's attempt to increase their police powers.
After the tragic events of September 11, 2001, when Americans were experiencing enormous loss and fear, Congress quickly passed federal legislation that gave unprecedented authority to the Executive branch of government and created the third largest federal agency – the Department of Homeland Security. In response to fear of bioterrorism, federal legislation was passed to give more funding and liability protection to the pharmaceutical industry to create new vaccines to combat bioterrorism and pandemic influenza.

At the same time, public health officials and medical trade associations lobbied legislatures to enact the Model State Emergency Health Powers Act (MSEHA) to expand the police powers that state health officials can use whenever a public health emergency is declared by the federal or state government. In this climate of fear and uncertainty, criticism of vaccine safety and expressing support for voluntary, informed consent to vaccination was often characterized as lack of patriotism and a danger to national security and the public health.

In 2011, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that government licensed vaccines are “unavoidably unsafe” and that vaccine manufacturers should not be held liable for vaccine injuries and deaths in civil court, in effect granting the pharmaceutical industry complete protection from any accountability or product liability for vaccine injuries and deaths. Soon after, industry and medical trade lobbyists stepped up their efforts to persuade state legislatures to eliminate religious, conscientious or philosophical belief exemptions and restrict medical exemptions in state vaccine laws.

Today, Americans are witnessing an unprecedented attack on freedom of thought, conscience and religious belief when it comes to making informed vaccination decisions for themselves and their minor children. In 2015, there was an effort to eliminate religious and conscientious belief vaccine exemptions in 13

states  While citizen advocates in 11 states protected those exemptions, the Vermont legislature repealed the philosophical belief exemption and the California state legislature passed a law eliminating the personal belief exemption, leaving only a medical exemption. At the urging of federal health officials, the informed consent right of health care workers in America have also been eroded, with many employers firing health care workers who do not get an annual flu shot or other federally recommended vaccines.

The U.S. government has authority under the U.S. Constitution to use police power to prevent people with serious communicable diseases from coming into the U.S. or transmitting disease across state borders. In 1905, the U.S. Supreme Court in Jacoboson v Massachusetts affirmed the constitutional authority of state governments to use police power to prevent transmission of serious communicable diseases. However, the Bill of Rights of the U.S. Constitution also protects civil liberties, which requires vaccine policies and laws to be reasonable and balance individual freedoms with the authority of government to enact public health policies and laws.

Since 1982, the National Vaccine Information Center has been dedicated to preventing vaccine injuries and deaths through public education and defending the informed consent ethic, including advocating for the protection of freedom of thought, conscience and religious belief in vaccine laws. We urge everyone to become educated about the federal and state laws that protect our civil liberties and to take action to protect them when they are threatened.

Choosing Your Diet

By Dr. Mercola

An estimated 6 million Americans are vegans, which is typically considered to be a healthy choice. However, there are drawbacks to strict veganism that need careful consideration.
Mara Kahn, author of "Vegan Betrayal: Love, Lies, and Hunger in a Plants-Only World," delves deep into the history and science of veganism, revealing many oft-ignored facts about this strictly plant-based diet.

She’s put together a compelling story, covering her personal journey from being a vegan and vegetarian to exploring diet and health and finding out the truth behind the hype. It’s really the best book I’ve ever read on this topic, as it covers the vegan issues in their entirety.
"Even though my book is titled “Vegan Betrayal,” I do respect vegans and what they’re trying to do. My own journey led me back to vegetarianism. I know that many … vegetarians that became vegans … are suffering from diminished strength and faltering health.
I think this is a topic which has been swept under the rug and it’s not being openly discussed in the vegan community. I think it’s very important that we start this discussion. I hope this book will help kick-start that really important dialogue,” Kahn says.

Veganism Has No Historical Support for Its Health Claims

While I would never argue with anyone who decides to be a vegan for philosophical, spiritual or ethical reasons, I believe it's important to consider and address the risks if you're jumping into veganism for its purported health benefits alone.

Surveys show ethical considerations are the primary reason people convert to vegetarianism or veganism. But as Kahn reveals in her book, veganism is not the only ethical diet. She also presents compelling arguments that it's not a historically validated diet.
Kahn became a vegetarian at age 19, while traveling in Europe. She became an overnight convert after meeting a young vegan woman who Kahn refers to as “a beautiful specimen of humanity” and “extremely healthy” — not realizing this same woman would return to eating meat just five years later due to fading energy.Up to that time, Kahn had eaten a very meat-based American-style diet, including bacon and hamburgers.

At that time, in the 1970s, veganism was largely unheard of. It didn't get a strong hold in the U.S. until the 1980s.

Interestingly enough, Kahn’s investigation reveals there doesn’t appear to be a single cultural group in the history of the world who actually survived long-term on an exclusively plant-based diet. So from a health perspective, there’s very little historical support for the strict veganism idealized today.
"I did a thorough research of the history of vegetarianism. In fact, I spent almost six years researching this book. I'm a journalist … I love to dig deep," Kahn says.
"At this point, it's really important that we distinguish between vegetarianism and veganism. Vegetarianism has a very long and honorable history. It goes back at least 2,500 years to Greece, and much further than that in the Indus Valley, India, and that part of the world.
It has proven itself to be a viable diet … [Yet even] in the Northern parts of India, the Kashmir regions, they eat meat because the climate is so different in the mountainous regions of North India.
Vegetarianism has a very long and noble history with verified health results. However, veganism … is a non-historical diet … Its health benefits are not verified.
There were scattered enclaves of religious people that lived cloistered lives who probably did follow a vegan diet … but these were very, very tiny populations, and we have no idea if they were healthy and how long they lived.”

There Are Short-Term Benefits to Veganism, but Long-Term Risks

From a historical perspective, veganism is a very recent development. The roots of veganism go back to England, when in 1944, Donald Watson coined the term “vegan.” Watson’s primary argument for veganism was one of ethics. At the age of 14, he’d witnessed the slaughter of a pig, which left him horrified.

Immediately, he decided to stop eating meat and wanted the whole world to follow suit, despite having no training in nutrition. Veganism is based on ideology, not human physiology, Kahn reminds us in her book, which also delves into human evolution.
Part of the confusion is that many vegans appear quite healthy in the earlier stages. This isn't so surprising when you consider the fact that many switch from processed foods to a mostly raw plant-based diet. The influx of live foods will undoubtedly improve your health.
However, in the long term, the absence of all animal-based foods can take a toll, as certain nutrients cannot be obtained from the plant kingdom. Carnosine, carnitine, taurine, retinol, vitamin D3, conjugated linoleic acid and long-chained omega-3 fats are examples. B12 deficiency is also very common among vegans.

After six or seven years, the B12 stored in your liver will be completely exhausted, at which point you may start to experience serious neurodegenerative diseases. There are many documented cases of blindness from B12 deficiency, as well as other neurological disorders.

Historically, Vegetarianism Always Included Some Animal Foods

Vegetarianism typically allows both dairy and eggs. Back in Pythagoras’ days, early Western vegetarians also ate fish. (Today, this “branch” of vegetarianism is sometimes separated out and referred to as pescetarianism.)

My passion has been identifying food to optimize health and I'm absolutely convinced that seafood is one of the healthiest foods on the planet, primarily because of its docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) content — a 22-carbon omega-3 fat that is absolutely essential for your health, as it's a structural component of your cell membranes.
If you have low DHA levels, it's almost physiologically impossible to be healthy because it's such an important part of energy generation at the molecular level. You need DHA, which is only found in fatty fish and certain other marine animals like krill.

There's even quantum physics going on with respect to its ability to capture light and integrate it into your system. For example, DHA in your retinal pigmented epithelium is responsible for converting sunlight into vital DC electric current your body needs. If you're deficient, your ability to generate energy by your mitochondria will be impaired.
Granted, water pollution is a major concern today, so you have to eat really low on the food chain. Anchovies, sardines, herring, wild Alaskan salmon, fish roe and krill are all good choices as they're high in omega-3s while being low in mercury and other pollutants.

Like It or Not, You Need Marine-Based DHA

If you exclude these foods, you're just not going to be healthy. And contrary to popular belief, you simply cannot obtain all the DHA you need from plant sources. Plant-based omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid or ALA) has 18 carbons whereas marine-based omega-3s (DHA and eicosapentaenoic acid or EPA) have 22 and 20 respectively. The difference in the length of the carbon chain makes a significant difference in terms of functionality.
ALA functions as a source of fuel (food), whereas EPA and DHA are structural elements. More than 90 percent of the omega-3 fat found in your brain tissue is DHA, which suggests how important it is for healthy neurological function, for example.

The problem is that, although your body can convert some of the ALA found in plants to the DHA found in marine oils, it is very rare for it to be more than 5 percent — the typical conversion rate is 1 to 3 percent, or even less.1 This simply isn't enough to have any significant benefit.

So please, don't make the mistake of thinking you can forgo marine-sourced DHA for a plant-based ALA found in flaxseed, flaxseed oil, chia seeds, walnuts and leafy greens.

Adding Fish Can Make a Big Difference

I think one of the reasons why vegetarians — at least those who follow Pythagoras' model, which includes fish — seem so healthy is because this diet is lower in protein than the conventional meat-based diet. When you eat excessive protein, you stimulate powerful biochemical pathways that trigger disease. This, combined with the fact that fish provides critical omega-3 and other healthy fats and cofactors, makes a strong case for the "pescetarian" form of vegetarianism.
“I agree totally,” Kahn says. “I remember trying to be an omnivore again … I started eating plenty of fish and my health skyrocketed almost immediately … My energy just skyrocketed. I started sleeping better. My nerves became calm. I was in intense gratitude to this first [wild salmon] that I ate; for the energy and the renewed love for life that it bestowed on me. It was absolutely amazing.
I did interviews and talked to or heard the stories of hundreds of vegans and ex-vegans, and almost invariably … the same thing happened to them … I think there's a very good reason Pythagoras ate some fish from time to time. It was plentiful in the Mediterranean region where he lived. It wasn't contaminated. There's reason he prescribed it to his everyday followers in the towns. That reason is probably DHA …
DHA is really a problem with vegans … In fact, two of the founders of veganism, as they became older, suffered from Parkinson’s disease. They had their DHA tested and it was zero … I eat sardines every other day. The rush of powerful and sustained energy I get from them I cannot find anywhere in the plant world.”

Low Protein and Low Fat — 2 Common Health Barriers for Vegans

While keeping your protein low is a wise move, excessively low protein can become a problem for vegans — especially if your diet is also low in healthy fats. Some will get just eight to 12 percent protein from plants in their daily diet, which can trigger muscle wasting. "In that sense, vegans are consuming flesh after all — their own — if they're not eating enough protein," Kahn says.

Low fat is another, and in my view, more concerning problem, among vegans. When you eat a high net carb diet (total carbs minus fiber), you're essentially burning carbohydrates as your primary fuel. If you shift down to relatively low levels of net carbs, which is easy to do on a vegetarian diet since vegetables are so high in fiber, then your body starts burning fat as its primary fuel. This means you need to increase the amount of healthy fats in your diet in order to satisfy your body's fuel demands.

Sufficient dietary fat is also essential for maintaining healthy hormone levels, Kahn notes, including your sex hormones. Raw veganism in particular is associated with loss of menses (amenorrhea), due to low calorie and fat intake, increasing your risk for infertility and osteoporosis.

Low fat is likely far more troublesome than low protein, because once you start burning fat for fuel, powerful protein-sparing processes start taking place, allowing you to get by with as little as 6 to 8 percent protein without risking muscle wasting. I only have 8 percent protein in my diet and I do not believe I'm protein deficient. That's because fat is my primary fuel. If I were burning carbs, I would not fare well at all with such a low amount of protein.

Veganism Has a High Drop Out Rate

The health problems associated with veganism create a high dropout rate. It's difficult to find good statistics on this, as people don't want to discuss it. Many are ashamed, feeling they've somehow "failed," and many are shamed by their fellow vegans, who believe they're making a huge mistake to go back to eating animal foods.
"I've even read accounts of ex-vegans who describe it as kind of cult-ish. The shaming that ensues is very powerful … One vegan told me that when she decided to go and buy some eggs for the first time in, I don't know, 10 or 15 years … her boyfriend, who was a staunch vegan, refused to go in with her. In fact, he had told her … he would rather she was a continually suffering vegan than to be a healthy meat-eater.
This, to me, was a perfect illustration of what I personally call Reverse Speciesism, preferring the health of an animal over the health of your fellow human being, which is really kind of a new thing, I think, in human history. It's not talked about much in the vegan community — the high dropout rate — but the numbers are large … It's estimated about 50 percent of vegans have left because of declining strength and declining health."

Even Vegan Diet Affects Animals

What many vegans fail to integrate into their overall evaluation is that even the consumption of an exclusively plant-based diet involves killing a wide variety of animals. Not intentionally, of course, but rather as an artifact of the process of growing the food. Essentially, there's no animal-free lunch, which is a direct quote from Kahn's book. There's going to be some type of destruction of life involved. Then there's the issue of plant consciousness as well.
As noted by Kahn, unless you're growing all your food by yourself in a no-till organic setting using hand tools, animals are destroyed in industrial agriculture. Studies by reputable scientists show up to 70 percent of rodents and small animals present in industrial growing fields end up being killed by the machinery. Animals are also killed in traps, and during food storage and transportation. As Kahn says:
"To be a vegan, you have to somewhere draw the line on what food you will eat and what you won't. For most of them, it's a matter of consciousness. Is the living thing conscious of what's going on? Is it suffering? That demarcation between an animal that's conscious and unconscious has totally changed throughout history and throughout cultures.
For instance, now they're looking at fish. In the past, it was just decided, because they were so cold looking and expressionless, that fish didn't have consciousness. But new testing is showing that perhaps they do; perhaps they can feel pain … People are taking that further and looking at insects. I interviewed scientists that work with insects. Some of them really do believe that insects have consciousness and an intelligence that we can't even understand …
The same with plants … Brilliant botanists believe that plants have elevated intelligence that we can't even begin to understand, because we don't speak the same "language." They know for sure that plants absolutely know when they are being eaten.
Living plants send out chemicals to warn their neighbors of danger ahead and they send out chemicals that summon insect bodyguards to ward off predators. These are intelligent beings that want to live. They have what I call "want to live, don't want to die" skills that are very developed."
It's also worth noting that some of the research vegans rely on to substantiate their dietary choices as healthy actually do not offer such proof. For example, when Kahn dug deep into some of the most well-known studies that vegans love to cite, she discovered they actually define vegetarianism in a very broad way. They do not support a purely plant-based (vegan) diet at all. Not only did these studies include fish-eaters, but also dairy-eaters and even those who ate red meat once a week.

Why the American Dietetic Association Now Promotes Plant-Based Diet

Kahn says to be very wary of vegan studies conducted by vegans. As with all conflicts of interest, people have a tendency to find what they want to find, even if they have to massage the data a bit to get there. Interestingly, in recent years the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), formerly the American Dietetic Association (ADA), made the transition to promoting a plant-based diet. As it turns out, this decision was primarily based on the recommendations of a devoted vegan and a vegetarian.
“The ADA position paper, which came out in 2009, recommends a vegetarian and a vegan diet to all people of all ages, from infancy to old age. If you do some more digging, as journalists love to do, [you find] it was co-authored by two people. One was a vegetarian and one was a vegan. In fact, the vegetarian belongs to a religious denomination that encourages the spreading of vegetarianism across the world.
My question is: why weren’t these two authors tagged for conflict of interest? They’re recommending this to the whole world and to all ages …
There are some serious flaws in their research. First of all, I looked at their sources. I can't remember if it was 100 or 200 sources. I could find only 17 in all those sources that were exclusive to vegans. You cannot take vegetarian research and apply it to vegans. It just doesn't work. There are too many missing nutrients in a vegan diet that are present in a vegetarian diet.
I wish that vegans would not just read vegan blogs and websites and recommendations from other vegans. They need to look at science, at research — non-biased sources. They need to read my book, which would tell them everything they want to know about the history, philosophy and nutritional facts of veganism.”
That's not an inflated claim, I can assure you. I've read hundreds of health books, and Kahn's book, "Vegan Betrayal," is among the very best when it comes to teasing out the truth about veganism and health.

Balance Ethics and Health When Choosing Your Diet

I'm not opposed to vegetarianism.

By Pythagoras' definition, I am a vegetarian. I eat very small amounts of animal protein; mostly fish. Occasionally, I'll have some organic grass-fed meat or free-range pastured chicken. But meats are not a cornerstone staple in my diet, and I believe most people could benefit from lowering their meat consumption. It shouldn't be entirely excluded, however, because animal foods do contain very valuable nutrients your body needs for optimal health.

Organic pastured eggs are another source of incredibly healthy nutrients. Ditto for raw butter. If ethics and animal welfare are your concerns, I would encourage you to investigate and educate yourself on humanely-raised animal foods.

Yes, the animal will die in the end, but there's a tremendous difference between the life of an animal raised in a concentrated animal feeding operation (CAFO) and one raised on pasture that is allowed to live a full, healthy, stress-free life. There's also a big difference in the way they're slaughtered.

At the end of the day, you have to choose between the life of an animal somewhere — even if only a few rodents caught in a harvester — or your own health. A balance must be struck between optimizing your health and causing the least amount of unnecessary suffering.
“If you look at the most lauded diet in the world, the Mediterranean diet — which by the way, they were doing a long-term study on, and which they ended early in 2013 because the benefits were so enormous they felt it was unethical to deprive the control group — the Mediterranean diet, which is mostly plants, limited fish, limited red meat, limited dairy, [gives you] all the carni-nutrients you need … It’s a complete diet.
It's been named one of the best diets in the world. It's historically validated for thousands of years and many, many generations that this diet confers long lasting health and long life … The vegan diet is not validated. That's what we need to work on — getting those research studies done, so that future vegans will know what they're up against," Kahn says

Trump Yes, - H.C. Never!

News Feed

Reasons NOT to vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016
1. She was in favor of the Iraq war, which had thousands of innocents killed and compromised the security and the status of world peace of many generations not just in the Middle East, but also in Europe and even in the US.
2. She was in favor of pulling out of the Iraq War too early, putting American soldiers and America at risk-leading to the ISIS expansion.
3. She told the press she landed under sniper fire... And then, there's a video of her landing in whatever place she was talking about completely unharmed or in any sort of danger what so ever.
4. She told America, the deaths in Benghazi were due to a video and lied to the families of the victims.
5. The truth of all of the Clinton's crimes are still under reported. She and her husband should be in matching orange jumpsuits.
6. People speaking against her, mysteriously die! Her and Bill have reportedly had people killed.
7. She compromised national security.
8. She rigged the primary election against Sanders.
9. She will say anything to get elected.
10. She will bring in thousands of ISIS operatives.
11. She will do nothing to control the illegal immigrant population.
12. She approves of late term abortions – even if the fetus could survive outside the womb.
13. She will take away the right to bear arms.
14. She will increase the national debt by 8 Trillion Dollars in her 1st term.
15. She will increase taxes on the middle class.
16. She will increase negative race relations.
17. She will scam money from government aid to foreign countries, like she did with Haiti.
18. She will take money from anyone, including foreign governments in exchange for favorable treatment.
19. Hillary Clinton has said her goal is universal care. But she has a very weird history on this topic and she wants to "expand the ACA" which would make it state-contracted private universal care. This may once again have something to do with her donors.
20. You don't want to have a candidate that's bought and paid for by big money donors and Saudi Arabia and Co.
21. She receives money from Wall St. private prison industry, media corporations, big pharmacy and more. She promises to regulate these entities but at the same time she meets with lobbyist, donors and bundlers getting millions from them “behind the scenes":
22. I want a Madam President that really deserves to be in office and that will really work for the well-being of all the citizens, not just for some women rhetoric. We have waited forever. We can wait a bit more.
23. I believe it's time for the US to focus more on its people, in home affairs, and less in dubious actions abroad. This means that it's time for the US to go through a political revolution, to get all its contradictions and problems fixed. She won’t do that because she accepts $$ from foreign governments in exchange for favor.
24. Email-Gate
25. Benghazi
26. The Travelgate Scandal
27. Chinagate
28. The Filegate Scandal
29. Whitewater
30. Vince Foster Scandal
31. She is downright nasty to secret service agents
If a non-politician did what she's done, they'd spend life in prison. Is that who you want running your country?
NEVER HILLARY CLINTON! JUST VOTE; FOR DONALD J. TRUMP FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. AND MIKE PENCE FOR VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Can you explain?

Black Lives Matter Co-Founder Calls For Cop-Free Black Communities

In the wake of the latest spate of black men forcing cops to shoot them, one of the founders of the Black Lives Matter movement says it’s time for the police to leave the black community. The idea apparently is that black neighborhoods, full of the worst criminals this country has to offer, would be safer without the protection of the police department.
Alicia Garza co-founded Black Lives Matter on the lie of Trayvon Martin’s death and it came to national prominence on the lie of Michael Brown’s death. With a foundation built entirely out of bullshit, it’s no surprise that everything that comes out of the mouth of one of their founding mothers is completely asinine. Garza did an interview with Complex and it was one for the ages.

============================

Being a student of history - what just happened?

Gee I am confused - bak in the 50's the Black chant was we don't want to segregate - we want to interrogate - then move up to 2000 the new Black chant - was We must have separate {segregated} living areas, movie, clubs, colleges, and so forth!

Now in 2016 it is we must have Separate autonomous Black communities?
Yet BO and others have been pushing for putting Blacks and Muslims in every community in the nation!

I thought that you can not have it both ways - but silly me; apparently some of these socialized BLACK leaders seem to have the same plans as the Mooslims a total take over of the USA.

Wait - stop how can that happen?   These people do not actually work or contribute to the taxes and support of the nation!  They must sponge or take money from the working citizens.  This includes all the money for police, infrastructure, school, welfare, Fire protection, 911 - emergency and all the other things that make up the country!

Where is it written they are suppose to get all this???

Sounds like a total capitulation or take over - to me...
Can you explain how I got this wrong?
