More truth - US Gov't

Friday, 27 February, 2015

Rep. Mia Love's (R-Utah) parents came to America from Haiti with $10 in their pocket in the 1970s. After holding down several jobs, they eventually earned their own way to success. Their daughter, however, said that could probably not happen today, thanks to an overbearing federal government.
Love shared her personal story with attendees today at the Conservative Political Action Conference to demonstrate how important it is to take advantage of opportunities just like her parents did and work to achieve the American Dream on their own individual efforts, before it's threatened by Washington.

Love has an impressive resume. She is the first black female Republican elected to Congress, as well as the first black Republican ever elected from Utah. More impressively, she did it without relying on the nanny state. Her own personal story is why she rejects the notion that government should run our lives.

"Too many in Washington don't trust the American people. They don't want us to have opportunities to rise to the occasion."

Love has a better vision for America.

"I think it's time we need to look within. I think it's time for Washington to trust the American people."

The Utah representative can now say that the same principles that propelled her parents' success have also offered her a way forward.

"Conservative policies work. I've seen them work as a mother, as a mayor, and I use them now as a member of Congress...The American people deserve the opportunity to rise to the occasion."

Speaking of rising, Rep. Love shared a poignant and relevant story about a hot air balloon ride she took last year. As she was getting ready to board the balloon, she asked her son to join. He declined, so her daughter jumped in instead. High in the air, they enjoyed the beauty of Utah's landscape. Then, the weather changed, and the wind took them into the backyard of a neighbor. After witnessing the exciting spectacle, Love's son felt a hint of jealousy.

"Peyton watched the excitement from the ground. He runs over and says, 'I'm ready, it's my turn! But, the opportunity for him to soar and rise to the sky had come and gone. I said, 'remember this experience, remember today...If you do not take opportunities that come today, you'll never know if they'll come back."

This is especially true, she said, thanks to a ballooning federal government."

"The federal government has made it impossible for people to save. It's difficult for someone to start their own lives - we've got to change that."

Even just 52 days in Congress, Love recognizes how harmful the government's nanny programs can be.

"I see all these programs that are meant to help the poor, hurt those they vow to protect."

Love said that government has its own interests in mind, not those of the American people. Her solutions? We have to trust ourselves and hit government agencies where they hurt.

"Independent people are the ones that give back. Washington can't do that. Washington needs to get smaller so people are bigger...Their job is to keep their job. We have to cut the bloodline to these bureaucracies, which is the funding."

It is this positive belief in America that encouraged Love's consituents to give her a seat in Washinton to try and change the selfish status quo.

"I was elected because of the policies and the principles that belive in American exceptionalism. I believe in this country."

Preserve your right to make your own decisions, she added.

"Unlike Washington, I believe you're capable of doing that."

I had the opportunity to interview Rep. Love Thursday morning. She expanded on how Big Government has made it extremely difficult for immigrants to legally enter and succeed in America. Below is our full conversation:

MOUNT SINAI - Burned with Fire

MOUNT SINAI

"...And the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick  darkness."
.......Deuteronomy 4:11

" And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice. And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone."
......Deuteronomy 4:12-13

1978
In 1978 Ron Wyatt found chariot parts in the Gulf of Aqaba just off the Egyptian shore.
At that time, he knew that Mt. Sinai had to be on the opposite shore.
Since the Biblical account tells how the people arrived at Mt. Sinai after they crossed the Red Sea; and since the Gulf of Aqaba, which Ron knew to be the crossing site, separates the Sinai Peninsula (Egypt) and Saudi Arabia, there was no doubt as to the location of Mt. Sinai being in Arabia. -  But where in Arabia?
Ron studied the Biblical account and saw on the flight maps of the area that there was a mountain range in the northwestern area of Saudi which he felt had the potential to be Mt. Sinai.

  • "Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh and dwelt in the land of Midian; and he sat down by a well"  Ex. 2:15 NKJV.   Maps indicate Midian is east of the Gulf of Aqaba in Northwest Saudi Arabia, in the area shown on the map above.
Moses fled to a foreign land, not to the Sinai peninsula:
  • "And she [Zipporah] bore him a son, and he called his name Gershom; for he said, "I have been a stranger in a foreign land"  Ex. 2:22.  Moses was in a different country, away from any Egyptians in Saudi Arabia.  He could not have been in the Sinai Peninsula, as that area was Egyptian controlled territory, full of Egyptian mines and communication towers.  Moses would have been easily captured in that area.
Midian and Horeb are in the same location:
  • "Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian.  And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God"  Ex. 3:1.  Jethro lived in the vicinity of Mount Sinai.  Jethro was the leader of the Midianites who were found in this area, "East of the Gulf of Aqaba in the northwestern regions of the Arabian Desert"Britanica.
     albadmap3.jpg (149509 bytes) Second map
Above:  Magha'Ir Shuayb means the caves of Jethro.
  • When researching the location of Mt. Sinai in Saudi Arabia that Mr. Wyatt proposed, I went to the East Tennessee State University Library and found two extremely detailed maps of Saudi Arabia.  On BOTH maps I found the name "Jethro" next to the town of Al Bad, which is near Jebel el Lawz, the correct Mt. Sinai!
  • See maps below.  Jethro was Moses' father-in-law as we saw in the texts above.  He was from the town of Al Bad, according to the local people who live there today, which is only about 15 miles from Jebel el Lawz.  The local people there today told Ron Wyatt that Jethro was from that area.
Above:  One of the caves of Jethro or Moses' cave near Al Bad
Above:  Dr. Kim standing in the entrance to the cave.

  • "So He [God] said, 'I will certainly be with you.  And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you:  When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain'" Exodus 3:12.  Moses was to bring the children of Israel from Egypt to this same mountain in Midian, near Jethro's home, in a foreign land.
  • "For this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia"  Galatians 4:25.  Here we are clearly told where the mountain should be located, in Arabia.  But where is Arabia?  "...It is bordered on the W by the Gulf of Aqaba and the Red Sea" Britanica.  This clearly rules out the Sinai Peninsula, but it does include Saudi Arabia of course.
  • "Then, at this saying, Moses fled and became a sojourner in the land of Midian, where he had two sons.  And when forty years had passed, an Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire in a bush, in the wilderness of Mount Sinai."  Acts 7:29,30.  All historically accurate maps, such as some produced by secular companies like National Geographic (see map at top of page), show Midian in Saudi Arabia.  Unfortunately, maps placed in Bibles by the publishers may have Midian in the Sinai Peninsula in order to fit tradition, but not the Bible or the historical record.
** Hagar and Sarah  Galatians 4:23 - 28

23 But the son by the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and the son by the free woman through the promise.
24 This is allegorically speaking, for these women are two covenants: one proceeding from Mount Sinai bearing children who are to be slaves; she is Hagar.
25 Now this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children.
27 For it is written, "REJOICE, BARREN WOMAN WHO DOES NOT BEAR; BREAK FORTH AND SHOUT, YOU WHO ARE NOT IN LABOR; FOR MORE NUMEROUS ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE DESOLATE THAN OF THE ONE WHO HAS A HUSBAND."
28 And you brethren, like Isaac, are children of promise.…

 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here you have the answer to The Bible question where is the real Mt Sinai is in Saudi Arabia .
** yet the Arab Government denies it - and has the site fenced off and prevents entry to the area.
What do us think of the Islamic's attempt to cover up the truth?

glycemic load

Revised International Table of Glycemic Index (GI) and Glycemic Load (GL) Values—2008

By David Mendosa

This is the definitive table for both the glycemic index and the glycemic load. I am able to reproduce it here courtesy of the author, Professor Jennie Brand-Miller of the University of Sydney. It is based on a table in different format but no more foods published December 2008 in Diabetes Care. However, only the abstract is free online there.

GI of 55 is low; GL of 10 is low.

This table includes the glycemic index and glycemic load of more than 2,480 individual food items. Not all of them, however, are available in the United States. They represent a true international effort of testing around the world.

The glycemic index (GI) is a numerical system of measuring how much of a rise in circulating blood sugar a carbohydrate triggers–the higher the number, the greater the blood sugar response. So a low GI food will cause a small rise, while a high GI food will trigger a dramatic spike. A list of carbohydrates with their glycemic values is shown below. A GI of 70 or more is high, a GI of 56 to 69 inclusive is medium, and a GI of 55 or less is low.

The glycemic load (GL) is a relatively new way to assess the impact of carbohydrate consumption that takes the glycemic index into account, but gives a fuller picture than does glycemic index alone. A GI value tells you only how rapidly a particular carbohydrate turns into sugar. It doesn't tell you how much of that carbohydrate is in a serving of a particular food. You need to know both things to understand a food's effect on blood sugar. That is where glycemic load comes in. The carbohydrate in watermelon, for example, has a high GI. But there isn't a lot of it, so watermelon's glycemic load is relatively low. A GL of 20 or more is high, a GL of 11 to 19 inclusive is medium, and a GL of 10 or less is low.

Foods that have a low GL almost always have a low GI. Foods with an intermediate or high GL range from very low to very high GI.

Both GI and GL are listed here. The GI is of foods based on the glucose index–where glucose is set to equal 100. The other is the glycemic load, which is the glycemic index divided by 100 multiplied by its available carbohydrate content (i.e. carbohydrates minus fiber) in grams. (The "Serve size (g)" column is the serving size in grams for calculating the glycemic load; for simplicity of presentation I have left out an intermediate column that shows the available carbohydrates in the stated serving sizes.) Take, watermelon as an example of calculating glycemic load. Its glycemic index is pretty high, about 72. According to the calculations by the people at the University of Sydney's Human Nutrition Unit, in a serving of 120 grams it has 6 grams of available carbohydrate per serving, so its glycemic load is pretty low, 72/100*6=4.32, rounded to 4.

Glycemic Index & Glycemic Load Rating Chart
My previous glycemic index page, which this page supplants, was based on the 2002 table published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. That in turn supplanted my original glycemic lists page, which was based on the original 1995 publication of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

I know that some people would prefer the relative simplicity of a list of just the most common American foods. You can find such a list at http://www.mendosa.com/common_foods.htm.

If you are looking for a relatively simple description of the glycemic index, please see my article titled "The Glycemic Index" at http://www.mendosa.com/gidigest.htm.

Notice!

You can print out this file. But before printing, be sure to check if the last column is fully visible. On my computer I needed to change the margins in Internet Explorer (with file, page setup) from 0.75 inches to 0.25 inches. You may need to make it even wider by changing the print setup orientation from the normal portrait to landscape. Then, please first check if you've got it by printing just one page of the table.

This table may be freely utilized for personal use, but may not be copied to any other Web site or publication. Webmasters of other Web sites are, however, welcomed to link this Web page.

Before asking about the glycemic index or glycemic load, please refer to my main Glycemic Index page.

America’s anti-American government - part 1

 -  The costumes and masks are starting to slip off at the masquerade ball that is the Obama regime. Every day brings more evidence that our nation is being run by a cabal of traitors who promote and are strongly associated with Islamic fundamentalist groups such as CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood. The most visible example is the usurper in the White House himself.

They are working to subvert our Constitution and our laws and to flood our nation with a replacement population of inferior and more compliant subjects, diluting and destroying American sovereignty in the process. We are now being conditioned to accept other cultures as equal to and in some cases, as with the push towards Islamic Sharia law, superior to our own.

Our nation is being deliberately placed into harm’s way, both through inaction in defensive matters and deliberate subversive action, across the full spectrum of both domestic and international issues. We are under a stealth attack, with the enemy of America residing in many places domestically, including the White House.

Their operations have progressed to the point where they cannot be completely hidden any longer and the Obama regime is resorting to the use of lame and implausible excuses, feigned ignorance or the talk of action rather than action itself to divert attention or buy more time for their schemes. They also often simply ignore the problems rather than addressing them if possible.

They have quickened the pace of some of their operations behind the scenes, particularly at DHS and the State Department, in destructive programs such as those intended to flood our nation with foreigners. Their numbers include a huge increase in Muslim “refugees,” particularly Syrians and others from terrorist nations, upon whom only minimal screening and virtually no background checks are being conducted. We even now accept “refugees” who have in the past supported terrorists, provided it was only to a “limited” degree.
America’s anti-American government is assaulting us economically through the EPA, the Department of Interior and the UN and other “well-intentioned” mechanisms of restrictions to strangle our productivity in the name of false environmentalism and global conscience.

The power elite care about the world only to the extent that it relates to their control and exploitation of it. The environment is a tool, not a cause. It is a means by which to destroy our industrial capacity which carries with it the destruction of our economy and our ability to defend our nation against the ever-increasing threats.

As we witness Hussein Obama, the illegal alien Muslim Brotherhood operative, make excuses and talk about taking action on behalf of our nation rather than actually doing anything, the need for a course correction by the people must become apparent to all Americans. We must defend ourselves now or we will lose the ability to do so. We are under attack. The domestic usurpers of our government, of which Hussein Obama is the most visible, have declared war upon us. They are evil people who are working tirelessly to destroy us. Pretending that they merely have differing political views is dangerous self-disarmament and foolish wishful denial.

The Egyptians took to the streets when they were confronted with a situation such as ours and it resulted in the overthrow of the terrorists which had taken over their nation, those who were aligned with the Obama regime.
Do we not even have the sense of urgency to demand at a minimum that our representatives in Congress impeach the members of this communist cabal that is working feverishly towards our destruction? Do Americans value their freedom, security, lifestyle and traditions any less than the Egyptians?
Have we become too complacent, too addicted to our lives filled with hard work, leisure activities and family time to protect the freedom that makes it all possible? One way or another those questions will be answered. We may not like the results.

Rick Wells is a conservative writer who recognizes that our nation, our Constitution and our traditions are under a full scale assault from multiple threats.

Allah has promised Israel to the Jews

'Allah Gave Israel to The Jews, There's No Palestine'

Muslim scholar in Jordan attacks 'Palestinians' for distorting Koran, Jews given Israel 'until Day of Judgement.'

Allah has promised Israel to the Jews -- so says Sheikh Ahmad Adwan, a Muslim scholar living in Jordan, who declared on his Facebook page recently that "Palestine" doesn't exist.

Blogger Elder of Ziyon translated Arab news sources that this Saturday reported on Adwan's statements, in which he quotes the Koran saying Allah assigned Israel to the Jews until the Day of Judgement (Sura 5 Verse 21), and that Jews are the inheritors of Israel (Sura 26 Verse 59).

"I say to those who distort...the Koran: from where did you bring the name Palestine, you liars, you accursed, when Allah has already named it 'The Holy Land' and bequeathed it to the Children of Israel until the Day of Judgment," argued Adwan. "There is no such thing as 'Palestine' in the Koran."

"Your demand for the Land of Israel is a falsehood and it constitutes an attack on the Koran, on the Jews and their land. Therefore you won’t succeed, and Allah will fail you and humiliate you, because Allah is the one who will protect them (i.e. the Jews)," warns Adwan.

The sheikh had more harsh words for the "Palestinians," calling them "the killers of children, the elderly and women" in using them as human shields in order to falsely accuse the Jews of targeting them. He reports having seen the same tactic used by "Palestinians" against the Jordanian army in the 1970s.
"This is their habit and custom, their viciousness, their having hearts of stones towards their children, and their lying to public opinion, in order to get its support," declared Adwan.

Adwan has previously said his support for the Jewish people "comes from my acknowledgment of their sovereignty on their land and my belief in the Koran, which told us and emphasized this in many places, like His (Allah’s) saying ”Oh People (i.e the Children of Israel), enter the Holy Land which Allah has assigned unto you'" (Sura 5, Verse 21).

The Jews are a peaceful people according to Adwan, who says "if they are attacked, they defend themselves while causing as little damage to the attackers as possible. It is an honor for them that Allah has chosen them over the worlds – meaning over the people and the Jinns (spiritual creatures) until the Day of Judgment. ...When Allah chose them, He didn’t do so out of politeness, and He wasn’t unjust other peoples, it is just that they (the Jews) deserved this.”

Video (mostly in Hebrew) from Orot TV shows Adwan's 2012 visit to Tzfat, where he met with the city's Chief Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu and expressed his support for Israel:

Supermarket Sleuth: Which Protein Foods Are the Best?

In the second in a series, a dietitian guides you through an important shopping choice.
By Bonnie Taub-Dix, U.S. News & World Report
When you think of the word “protein,” what comes to your mind? Some of you may conjure up thoughts of sitting in a steakhouse while facing a juicy rib eye that’s bigger than the size of your plate. Others might think about grabbing an energy bar that says “protein” on the label, not realizing that you could be getting less protein than a bite of that previously mentioned steak.
For years, protein foods such as meat, poultry, fish and eggs were considered the “main dish” of the meal. But in recent times, it’s kind of moved to the side. Protein’s role in the diet as a supporting cast member, rather than a star, was highlighted further by the Department of Agriculture’s “MyPlate” symbol, which – much to my patients’ shock and dismay – illustrates that protein should only take up about 25 percent of precious plate real estate. Moreover, it’s disappointing for them to hear that even protein needs to be “counted” when it comes to calories, since so many fad diets treat these foods as if they can be consumed in unlimited quantities without consequence.
But even if you are a simple meat and potatoes kind of eater, choosing the best protein foods can be complicated, especially because of conflicting media messages. We’ve seen studies showing that meat that is high in saturated fat, and cholesterol can increase the risk of heart disease. For this and several other health issues, there’s been a soaring interest in plant sources of protein including a welcoming of ancient grains, nuts and seeds. Yet diets like the paleo plan continue to gain popularity, perhaps because of its simplicity when it comes to meal planning and its ability to help consumers shed pounds. Admittedly, I’m far from a paleo fan, since I don’t advocate diets that ditch whole food groups, particularly grains. But I am an advocate of simplicity – to lose weight and stay healthy you should follow a plan you’ll never have to stop.
So how much protein do you really need? The average woman needs around 46 grams of protein per day and the average man needs around 56 grams, except for special circumstances like pregnancy or wound healing. Do you realize how little that is compared to the amount most of us eat? As a frame of reference, 1 ounce of protein is equivalent to around 7 grams of protein. So yes, the small, 8-ounce steak in that restaurant contains all of the protein you’ll need for the entire day.
Unlike other aisles of the supermarket such as produce or cookies, protein foods are all over the store, appearing in the meat department, dairy section and amongst the canned goods, just to name a few. To help make the protein portion of your supermarket trip less confusing and more health-oriented, here four power-packed tips:
1. Avoid label fables.
“Free-roaming,” “free-range” and “cage-free” are all terms that make you feel so happy that the animals they’re referring to are frolicking in the fields. Not necessarily true. The problem is there is no regulation regarding whether the animals have spent the majority of their lives in the great outdoors. “Access” to the outdoors for “an undetermined period each day” is the requirement for a product to wear those labels, but whether that access is taken advantage of is not guaranteed – especially if food and water is inside.
2. Find fish.
Cast your line for types like mackerel, salmon, sardines, herring, lake trout, cod and pollack. Women who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or those who are nursing, as well as young children and the elderly, should avoid mercury-laden fish such as shark, swordfish, king mackerel and tilefish. But don’t shy away from fish. Studies have shown that the benefits certainly outweigh any potential risks. Fish is one of the richest sources of heart-healthy, long-chain omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA). Try to eat fish at least twice a week, but if you can’t (or if you don’t like it), you may want to take a walk over to supplement aisle. Check to see that your label includes EPA and DHA omega-3s.
3. Remember: You “can” cook.
Sadly, canned foods are misunderstood and too often neglected. Fish, beans, chicken and other protein sources in cans are easy to stock at home, have a long shelf life, are available in most stores, are cost-effective and can easily be incorporated into casseroles, soups, sandwiches and salads. I’ve heard concerns from patients regarding canned goods and sodium content, but you can ditch up to 40 percent of the sodium in some canned foods just by giving them a good rinse with water before using them.
4. Choose protein bars wisely.
Just because the word “protein” is mentioned on the front of a food label doesn’t mean that your bar is packed with this nutrient. As mentioned previously, 1 ounce of protein has 7 grams of protein, so if you choose an energy bar that contains only 1 gram of protein, it’s more likely to be filled with lots of sugar that could zap energy instead of providing it. Choose bars that have at least 5 grams of protein in the company of a mix of healthy fats like nuts, fiber and whole-grain carbs or real fruit, and try to select the kind that resembles its contents – not the kind that looks like pressed wood.

With out Faith...

The Faith of Abel, Enoch, Noah   Hebrews 11:6
5 By faith Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death; AND HE WAS NOT FOUND BECAUSE GOD TOOK HIM UP; for he obtained the witness that before his being taken up he was pleasing to God.
6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
7 By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

Speak to your Mountain!

marvelous creation

Speak to The Mountain

Speak to The Mountain

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says [Mark 11:23, Matthew 21:21, Matthew 17:20, Luke 17:6].
What is a MOUNTAIN in a believer's life? The mountain is the PROBLEM in your life. The mountain is anything that is adverse or contrary to the Word of God for your life. A mountain is anything that is a barrier to you completing God's Will. A mountain is anything that is slowing down or impeding your progress in the Kingdom of God.
Many believers spend time praying to God about their mountain. They describe the mountain in full detail to God. They inform God of the exact dimensions of the mountain. They cry and moan to God about what a hindrance or impossibility the mountain is in their life.
Some people even use the MOUNTAIN as an excuse for nonperformance in their Christian life. Some people make up doctrines and traditions about God, to justify why the mountain is still in their life.
Many believers will pray to God for Him to speak to their mountain. God will never do what he has commanded you to do. You pray to God to receive what Jesus has made available to you [Mark 11:24]. It is your responsibility to speak to the mountain in your life.
Praying and fasting will not move a mountain. Prayer and fasting deals with unbelief or lack of confidence in God's Word [Matthew 17:20-21, Mark 9:28-29, Mark 16:14, Luke 8:25, Mark 4:39-41, Matthew 8:24, Matthew 16:8, Mark 8:15, Matthew 14:30].
Many people get into natural unbelief by what they see, hear, touch, smell, taste or even feel. You must not allow natural unbelief to be a counter weight to your faith [Matthew 17:20]. Your spirit man must not be dominated by your unregenerated fallen flesh [Romans 5:5-8, Galatians 5:16, Ephesians 4:22-24, Colossians 3:9]. You must sow to the Spirit and reap life [Galatians 6:7].
Prayer is about your relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Prayer will increase your confidence about your relationship with God. Prayer is how you receive from God [Matthew 7:8, Matthew 21:22, Mark 11:24, John 16:23-24, Matthew 26:41].
Fasting food doesn't move God, it moves you. Fasting food takes you out of the natural realm and helps you to be sensitive to the spiritual realm of God. Fasting forces your flesh to submit to your spirit man. God becomes your total source. You live by the Word of God alone [Matthew 4:3-4]. Fasting retrains or disciplines you body to listen to your spirit man. You tell your body to line up with the Word of God and it obeys you. Your spirit man dominates your body or fallen flesh. Pray does the same thing. Prayer disciplines your flesh to submit to your spiritual man. You pray to God, who you can not see, hear, taste, smell, and touch [Matthew 6:9, John 20:28]. Prayer trains your flesh to submit to your spiritual man. Pray and fasting are spiritual disciplines.
Prayer and fasting [Matthew 17:21, Mark 9:29] will move you into a more confident [faithful] position to speak to the mountain [Matthew 17:21, Matthew 21:21, Mark 11:23].
Jesus didn't tell us to pray to God about our mountain. He said for us to speak to the mountain; speak to the mountain in His Name.
Jesus didn't tell us to IGNORE or DENY the mountain or problem. We are not to say, "I don't have a mountain" or "what problem?" We are not to practice positive thinking and say over and over; "I can climb over that mountain, I will go around that mountain, it want stop me". A positive attitude is always good. But a positive attitude is not what Jesus said to do with mountains. Jesus said to speak to the mountain or problem and tell it to be moved [Mark 11:23, Matthew 21:21].
Jesus said that any believer can tell a mountain, "You be lifted up and thrown into the sea" [NLT], or "Go, throw yourself into the sea" [NIV], or "Go jump in the lake -no shuffling or shilly-shallying-and it's as good as done" [Message].
Jesus says, "if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you" [Matthew 17:20]. A believer [not a doubter], can say to the mountain [problem] be moved to some other dimension that I don't inhabit.

Jesus gives instructions concerning the mountain or problem

It is the believer's responsibility to:
  1. to believe that you RECEIVE when you pray [Mark 11:24, Matthew 21:21]

  2. to SPEAK to the mountain or problem you have; rebuke, give directions to the problem, and cast out the problem from you body, circumstance, or environment [Mark 11:23, Matthew 21:21, Matthew 17:20, Luke 17:6, Mark 16:17, Luke 11:20, Matthew 12:28].

  3. to SAY what you want to come to pass, into existence [ginomai] [Mark 11:23]. It shall be done [ginomai], according to God's Word [Matthew 21:21]. O woman, great is your faith! Let it be [ginomai] to you as you desire [Matthew 15:28]. And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, be it done unto thee [ginomai] [Matthew 8:13].
Jesus promises "it will be done" [Matthew 21:21], it "shall come to pass" [Mark 11:23], it will "obey you" [Luke 17:6], and "it will move" [Matthew 17:20]. Jesus says that it is the believer's responsibility to speak to the mountain.
If you don't speak to your mountain, your mountain will SPEAK to you.

Authority and The Whosoever Clause

Great faith in God is demonstrated by understanding the relationship between the spoken word and authority. The Roman centurion demonstrated understanding of this principle by saying to Jesus;
"I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. I say to this man, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it" [Matthew 8:9]. The centurion then said, "but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed" [Luke 7:7].
Jesus was amazed at the centurion's grasp of the concept of authority in relationship to the Law of Faith [Romans 3:27]. The centurion only needed Jesus' word to receive healing for his servant. Many Christians do not understand their God given authority through Jesus Christ. The scripture says that Jesus was amazed, astonished, or marveled. Look at Jesus' response to the Roman Centurion's statement, "Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel" [Matthew 8:10, Luke 7:7].
Authority is exhibited by speaking. You speak to persons or things that you have authority over. You don't ask or plead; you direct and require. You exhibit faith when you speak to things instead of asking God to speak for you. When you speak instead of asking, you demonstrate an understanding of God's Word. You can't walk with God unless you agree with His Word [Amos 3:3]. Faith involves you placing confidence in God's spoken word and responding to it. The God-like faith will demonstrate itself by speaking and trusting God's word [Faith of God]. You will show an understanding of God's divine order, will, and authority when you place trust in God's spoken word and respond.
Jesus gave the twelve authority to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out devils [Matthew 10:1, 10:8, Matthew 16:18-19, Luke 9:1, Supernatural Acts of the Disciples]. Jesus gave the seventy authority in [Luke 10:1, 10:9, Luke 10:19]. Jesus has given you authority with the whosoever clause of Mark 11:23. Today, we already have Jesus' word on the matter of healing. Jesus says if you are a believer and not a doubter; if you believe that those things you say will be done; then he says you can have whatever you say. Why do so many people believe the "whosoever clause" of John 3:16, but not the "whosoever clause" of Mark 11:23?
You demonstrate faith when you speak according to God's Word, instead of:

  1. Praying and asking God to speak for you.
  2. Praying and asking God to send someone else to speak for you.
Many believers are still saying to God "I am not worthy to have you come into my home" [Matthew 8:8]. Jesus did not marvel at this statement. Jesus never said to the Centurion he wasn't worthy to have him come to his home. Jesus went to visit many people who were not thought well of in society, or had questionable character [Luke 19:7, Matthew 9:11, John 4:9]. In fact the statement of the Centurion is not biblically true. Believers in Christ Jesus have the "righteousness which is through the faith of Christ" [Philippians 3:9 ]. We have been justified through faith by our Lord Jesus Christ [Romans 5:1, Galatians 2:16, Romans 3:28, Galatians 3:24].
Here are more references of "whosoever" scriptures given by Jesus Christ [Mark 11:23, John 3:15-16, John 4:14, John 11:26, John 12:46].

What Will You Do With the Mountain?

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith-pistis in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt-diakrino in his heart, but shall believe-pisteuo, that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith [Mark 11:22-23, See also Faith of God].
  1. I will speak to the mountain (problem) and direct it to be removed [Mark 11:23]. I will speak to the mountain (problem) before the mountain speaks to me. I will use the God-like faith that speaks to the mountain to be removed, because faith has something to say [2 Corinthians 4:13]. I refuse to be faithless or doubt and talk about the mountain.

  2. I will speak the life giving, spiritual words of Jesus [John 6:63]. My tongue will speaks life and not death [Proverbs 18:21]. I will sow to the Spirit and shall of the Spirit reap life [Galatians 6:8]. I will confess [homologeo-Romans 10:9] what God says about my situation. My words are the working, productive [energeō] Word of God [James 5:16]. Jesus said by my words, I will be justified and by my words I will be condemned. I will not allow my mouth to utter idle [argos] lazy, free from labor, not working words. I will use the Word of God with my mouth. My heart overflows with faith and my mouth speaks faith [Matthew 12:34-37].

  3. I will use my authority by "speaking" to any problem that is stopping God's will in my life [Luke 10:19].

  4. I do not ask or beg, but I will require and demand God's will to be accomplished for anything that I have authority over [Mark 16:17].
  5. What Will be Your Heart Condition?

  6. I will not doubt-diakrino God's Word in my mind and cause my heart to doubt. I will recognize when I am divided or make a separation in my thoughts from the Word of God. I will not be like a wave in the sea going back and forth in my mind from confidence to no confidence in God's Word. I realize according to James 1:6, that you will not receive anything from God if you are wavering [doubting]. I will not be unstable in my ways. I am established and encouraged in faith [1 Thessalonians 3:2]. I will eliminate doubt by renewing my mind [Revelation 12:2].

  7. I will bring a good treasure of faith from my heart [Matthew 12:34-37]. Faith needs a heart and a mouth to work. I see that in [Romans 10:10] "For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." I will obtain a "good report" by my faith. God is pleased with me because I have faith in Him and His Word [Hebrews 11:2, 6]. Jesus will find faith in my life when he returns [Luke 18:8].
  8. What Do You Want to Come to Pass?

  9. It will be the things I say according to [Mark 11:23]. I will say what I want to "come to pass" by the Word of God. I will only say what I want to "come to pass, to become, to come into existence [ginomai-Mark 11:23]. I am not saying what I don't want to come to pass. I refuse to frame my world with doubtful, unbelieving, careless, or useless words [Hebrews 11:3]. According to Mark 11:23, I will have whatever I say.
  10. When Does Faith Receive?

  11. When I pray to God I will receive because faith receives when it prays [Mark 11:24]. I will not pray and ask God to do for me, what I have the authority and ability to do for myself.

Faith Confessions

  1. I believe the whosoever clause of John 3:16 and the "whosoever clause" of Mark 11:23.

  2. I am a "whosoever", so I can speak to the mountain (problem/barrier to my receiving or doing God's Will for my life) and tell it to be removed and be cast in the sea [some dimension that I do not occupy].

  3. I say what I want to "come to pass" by the Word of God. I will ONLY say what I want to "come to pass", to become, to come into existence, or begin to be [ginomai-Mark 11:23].

  4. I will not be DIVIDED in my mind. I will not go from confidence in the Word of God to no confidence. I will not be like a wave in the sea going back and forth in my mind. I realize according to James 1:6, that I will not receive anything from God if I am wavering.

  5. I will eliminate doubt by renewing my mind according to the Word of God [Romans 12:2].

  6. I have what I say because I am a believer and not a doubter.
We now see that you can do the supernatural and much more. You can speak and remove a mountain in your life by faith. You can require a mountain to move from here to there. Jesus promises "it will move" [Matthew 17:20], "it will be done" [Matthew 21:21], it "shall come to pass" [Mark 11:23], and it will "obey you" [Luke 17:6]. Jesus says that it is the believer's responsibility to speak to the mountain.
In Matthew 21:21-22, Jesus says if you have pure faith (no mixture of unbelief or doubt), you can speak to any non-productive living thing in your life, to wither and die.
According to Jesus if you are a whosoever who has faith, and doubts not then, "you shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if you shall say unto this mountain, Be removed, and be cast into the sea; it shall be done" [Matthew 21:21-22].
  1. In Matthew 21:21, Jesus allows me a believing whosoever to speak to fig trees and mountains.

  2. I can say to any non-fruitful thing that I encounter in my life, "Let no fruit grow on you ever again, because I do the same works that Jesus did [Matthew 21:19, Mark 11:14, John 14:12].

  3. Jesus promises that if I am a believer and not a doubter that what I say it will happen, "it shall be done", and "it shall come to pass" [ginomai-Matthew 21:21].

  4. I will not pray and ask God to do for me, what I have the authority and ability to do for myself.

  5. I use my authority by "speaking" to any barrier or any demonic activity that is stopping God's will [Luke 10:19].

  6. I do not ask or beg, but I require and demand God's will to be done [Luke 10:9, Luke 10:19, Mark 16:17, Ephesians 6:12, 2 Corinthians 10:2].
Faith involves you placing confidence in God's spoken word and responding to it. The God-like faith will demonstrate itself by speaking and trusting the spoken word of God.

About Volcanoes?

Did You Know - About Volcanoes?

Many of the Earth's volcanoes have been continuously erupting for years.

The biggest volcano on Earth is one of the five volcanoes in Hawaii - Mauna Loa. It towers 13,000 feet above sea level.

The fine ash particles in the atmosphere from a volcano make sunsets more colorful.

Volcanoes that are not currently active, but may erupt again, are labeled dormant.

Iceland is known as the land of fire and ice because it sits on top of some of the most active volcanoes at the Atlantic's mid-oceanic ridge.

The volcano under Yellowstone is a super-volcano, the most formidable of volcanoes.

Indonesia is thought to have the largest number of active volcanoes - a total of 76.

The volcanic rock called pumice is the only rock that can float on water.

There are at least 1,500 active volcanoes across the globe.

The underground, volcanic chambers that contain magma can quietly remain underground for hundreds of years.

The 1991 eruption of Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines spewed 22 million tons of sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere, which encircled the entire planet and brought the global temperature down 0.5 degrees C (0.9 degrees F).

The eruption plume of Mount Pinatubo's various gases and ash reached high into the atmosphere within two hours of the eruption, attaining an altitude of 34 km (21 miles) high and over 400 km (250 miles) wide. This eruption was the largest disturbance of the stratosphere since the eruption of Krakatau in 1883 (but ten times larger than Mount St. Helens in 1980). The aerosol cloud spread around the earth in two weeks and covered the planet within a year. During 1992 and 1993, the Ozone hole over Antarctica reached an unprecedented size.

The cloud over the earth reduced global temperatures. In 1992 and 1993, the average temperature in the Northern Hemisphere was reduced 0.5 to 0.6°C and the entire planet was cooled 0.4 to 0.5°C. The maximum reduction in global temperature occurred in August 1992 with a reduction of 0.73°C. The eruption is believed to have influenced such events as 1993 floods along the Mississippi river and the drought in the Sahel region of Africa. The United States experienced its third coldest and third wettest summer in 77 years during 1992.

Overall, the cooling effects of the Mount Pinatubo eruption were greater than those of the El Niño that was taking place at the time or of the greenhouse gas warming of the planet. Remarkable sunrises and sunsets were visible around the globe in the years following the Mount Pinatubo eruption.

  =================================

**The largest volcanic eruption of the 20th century was the 1912 eruption of Katmai-Novarupta (Alaska).

   -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The eruption of Krakatoa in August 1883 was one of the most deadly volcanic eruptions of modern history. It is estimated that more than 36,000 people died. Many died as a result of thermal injury from the blasts and many more were victims of the tsunamis that followed the collapse of the volcano into the caldera below sea level.

The island of Krakatau (Krakatoa) is in the Sunda Strait between Java and Sumatra. It is part of the Indonesian Island Arc. Volcanic activity is due to subduction of the Indo-Australian tectonic plate as it moves northward towards mainland Asia. The island is about 3 miles wide and 5.5 miles long (9 by 5 kilometers).  Before the historic eruption, it had three linked volcanic peaks: Perboewatan, the northernmost and most active; Danan in the middle; and the largest, Rakata, forming the southern end of the island. Krakatau and the two nearby islands, Lang and Verlatan, are remnants of a previous large eruption that left an undersea caldera between them.

In May 1883, the captain of the Elizabeth, a German warship, reported seeing clouds of ash above Krakatau. He estimated them to be more than 6 miles (9.6 km) high. For the next two months, commercial vessels and chartered sightseeing boats frequented the strait and reported thundering noises and incandescent clouds. People on nearby islands held festivals celebrating the natural fireworks that lit the night sky.
Celebration would come to a tragic halt on Aug. 27.

At 12:53 p.m. on Sunday the 26th, the initial blast of the eruption sent a cloud of gas and debris an estimated 15 miles (24 km) into the air above Perboewatan. It is thought that debris from the earlier eruptive activity must have plugged the neck of the cone, allowing pressure to build in the magma chamber. On the morning of the 27th, four tremendous explosions, heard as far away as Perth, Australia, some 2,800 miles (4,500 km) distant, plunged both Perboewatan and Danan into the caldera below the sea.
The initial explosion ruptured the magma chamber and allowed sea water to contact the hot lava. The result is known as a phreatomagmatic event. The water flash-boiled, creating a cushion of superheated steam that carried the pyroclastic flows up to 25 miles (40 km) at speeds in excess of 62 mph (100 kph). The eruption has been assigned a rating of 6 on the Volcanic Explosion Index and is estimated to have had the explosive force of 200 megatons of TNT. (For purposes of comparison, the bomb that devastated Hiroshima had a force of 20 kilotons. The Mount St. Helens explosion of 1980 had a VEI of 5.)
Tephra and hot volcanic gases overcame many of the victims in western Java and Sumatra, but thousands more were killed by the devastating tsunami. The wall of water, nearly 120 feet tall, was created by the volcanoes’ collapse into the sea. It completely overwhelmed small nearby islands. Inhabitants of the coastal towns on Java and Sumatra fled toward higher ground, fighting their neighbors for toeholds on the cliffs.  The steamship Berouw was carried nearly a mile inland on Sumatra; all 28 crewmembers were killed. Another ship, the Loudon, had been anchored nearby. The ship's captain Lindemann succeeded in turning its bow to face the wave and the ship was able to ride over the crest. Looking back, the crew and passengers saw that nothing was left of the pretty town where they had been anchored.
The explosions hurled an estimated 11 cubic miles (45 cubic km) of debris into the atmosphere darkening skies up to 275 miles (442 km) from the volcano. In the immediate vicinity, the dawn did not return for three days. Barographs around the globe documented that the shock waves in the atmosphere circled the planet at least seven times. Within 13 days, a layer of sulfur dioxide and other gases began to filter the amount of sunlight able to reach Earth. The atmospheric effects made for spectacular sunsets all over Europe and the United States. Average global temperatures were up to 1.2 degrees cooler for the next five years.
Mount Tambora & the year without a summer
While justifiably rated as one of the most destructive volcanic eruptions of modern times, Krakatoa was not the largest eruption in the recent history of Indonesia. That “honor” belongs to the eruption of Mount Tambora on April 10, 1815.

Tambora is the only eruption in modern history to rate a VEI of 7. Global temperatures were an average of five degrees cooler because of this eruption; even in the United States, 1816 was known as the “year without a summer.” Crops failed worldwide, and in Europe and the United States an unexpected outcome was the invention of the bicycle as horses became too expensive to feed.

The Child of Krakatoa
In 1927, some fishermen were startled as a column of steam and debris began spewing from the collapsed caldera. Krakatoa had awakened after 44 years of calm. Within weeks, the rim of a new cone appeared above sea level. Within a year, it grew into a small island, which was named Anak Krakatoa, or Child of Krakatoa. Anak Krakatoa has continued to erupt periodically, although mildly.
