Not wanting to rain on any one's parade - when you look at much of the unrest in the USA today over the Race Issue {or lack there of} - it is wise to stop and look back at this type strife in other parts of the world; to consider and get a better perspective!
While the Blacks in the USA have some concerns over their place in the nation - stirring up racial indifference only throws fuel on the fire! Just looking at the Negro slave issue over 150 years ago {All Black slaves have been freed for over 150 years ago} - it is clear to see the Blacks who were sent to the USA were much better off than those, who sent to Spanish - South America. Except the blacks sent to Brazil {which is Portuguese} a great many were either worked to death, outright killed or starved in all sorts of mines and other hard labor!
** Another fine example is the way Spain dealt with the people in Chile. Basically, they were given no quarter or real chance of succeeding. Take time to review just the Arauco Wars up until the late 1800's...
Once you see the vast difference and compare the magnitude of treatment between the U.S. Blacks over the past 200 years and most of the people's under Spanish Colonial rules - you may ask why all the destruction and riots, when the USA has given extremely benevolent treatment compared to almost any other place in the world.

The Arauco War was a long-running conflict between colonial Spaniards and the Mapuche people, mostly fought in the Araucanía. After many initial Spanish successes in penetrating Mapuche territory, the Battle of Curalaba in 1598 and the following destruction of the Seven Cities marked a turning point in the war leading to the establishment of a clear frontier between the Spanish domains and the land of the independent Mapuche. From the 17th to the late 18th century a series of parliaments were held between royal governors and Mapuche lonkos and the war devolved to sporadic pillaging carried out by Spanish soldiers as well as Mapuches and outlaws.
** I personally think it is a lack of knowledge or just people acting like spoiled children!
