" Is there Genuine Intelligence - artificial intelligence (A.I.) " ?
Back in 1950 Alan Turing developed a process to test the artificial intelligence of machines...
It was called the " imitation game " which is now it is know as the
Turing Test!
Therefore we now that we have - computer programs which can masquerade
as if it was a human. The Turing test is a contest which attempts to fool or
trick the human interrogator into believing it is human.
Using poetry,
answering difficult scientific problems, yet deliberately making so
called mistakes with certain math problems - Which is supposedly making it a standard
to measure how well a machine always responds.
Some Scientist are wanting to make this the standard; by showing how far artificial intelligence (A.I.) has come - but it should not be for the wrong reason - because it should not to be able to just fool people, even if it is just for the short term.

If this is an example of how A.I. - it may seem temporarily
great - but will only be fleeting and not seem to provide proof positive
of getting any closer to a so called " Genuine Intelligence " or a perfected A.I.
Having worked over 40 years with computers (both Digital and Analog), computer controls, computer operations, computer power requirements in the Military, Manufacturing, Scientific, Financial, Medical, Machine Operations {Automotive, Air Craft and Marine applications} and/or just personal endeavors of life.

In all applications, I would say if
there is not some humans observations, super- vision involved; the computer system sooner or later will
freeze, fail, dump or lose either control or the ability to complete the designed function(s)....
A.I. has proven great and reliable in certain select applications becoming acceptable for some special limited processes or procedures.
A.I. is never going to be able to replace human knowledge of people who are trained in special technical applications - but not of
any total control in the world!
I Believe allowing total control without any human in put or supervision will sooner or later fail, destroy, mime or even kill.

No matter whatever you are attempting to do!
Keep human involvement or supervision in all your computer
{Micro Processor} operations. If you do not believe this reply or let me know as I have seen or know of many such miss-operations and applications.
Have experienced many such computer controlled incidents.
Here is an example of one that is in big favor with the public now. Computer controlled Automobiles - in on the road operation, there are certain things the on board computer will not recognize.
One is to observe and follow the directions of Police and emergency personal on the road. Because there are too many different scenarios where it is important for the vehicle computer alone to note and respond to external conditions!
Thus it is totally necessary for a human to be in the loop.
**{Someone will come back, with how about where there is remote control?
Gee folks then there is a human is directing the operation and control!
Hey there is human supervision - Got it?}
Let's get it right humans are far more intelligence than machines!
Even the most sophisticated computers will still need Human design,
assembly and /or repairs and adjustments...
