Restating ** 2 Thessalonians 2:11,12?
Which God sends them "delusion" that they would believe a lie,
thereby all be damned?
If told these things about God:
- God cannot lie (law)
- God neither tempts nor can be tempted
- God is merciful (perfect), not awful lawful
- God did NOT send his Son to condemn
- God will have mercy, and not sacrifice
- God will have all men saved and truthed
2 Thessalonians 2:11,12
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Note: this question was asked previously, and answers revealed many believe
a "merciful" God would also do this, as if it were just to lie, deceive, delude, ensnare, damn (condemn) people.
Is it any wonder then, that athiests suggest many so-called christians are delusional if they perceive their God could do such awful things that are clearly contradictory to being perfect and merciful.
So I ask again, what sort of God, which God: Grace or Law
