GOD’S KIND OF LOVE - Part 1

In 1 Corinthians 13:13, it says, “Now abides faith, hope, charity [love], these three; but the greatest of these is charity [love]” (brackets mine). Then 1 Corinthians 14:1 says, “Follow after charity [love] and [yet] desire [earnestly] spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy” (brackets mine). The Bible says to follow after love, pursue it, and make it your highest aim.

    Some translations say to make it your greatest quest. It’s the only thing we’ll take out of this life into eternity. We won’t take our cars, our homes, or our money, but we will take the love that Jesus Christ has imparted into our lives by the Holy Spirit.
 Love is the only thing that has eternal value and substance.

What does love really mean?
I say, “I love my wife, I love ice cream, I love apple pie.”
There’s only one word in English to describe love, so when I say I love my wife and then say I love the cat, is my wife impressed?

Not at all. Do you see what I’m saying?

When we use the word love, some people think it means sex, some think it means an intense warm feeling—people have all kinds of definitions for love.

 In the Greek language there are four major words.

 One is eros, which really is not used in the Bible, and is defined as sexual attraction or sexual love. God ordained that kind of love when He said a man shall leave his father and mother, cleave to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. The book in the Bible entitled Song of Solomon is about sexual love that God has restricted to the marriage relationship. The other kinds of love, God says are free to be used by all mankind, but eros is restricted to the marriage relationship.

Another kind of love is called storge and is the natural bond or affection in a family
relationship.

 Then there is phileo, which comes from the root word philia. This word is used about seventy-two times in the New Testament and means a warm feeling of affection that comes and goes in intensity. Most people who talk about love think that is what love really is, so “I fall in love and I fall out of love.” If your marriage is built on that kind of love, there will be times when you have a high and times when you have a low. You could fall in love and out of love based on that.

The Bible says we’re to love each other with God’s kind of love, which is agape love. What
is agape love?
There are many facets, and 1 Corinthians 13 gives the whole definition of what love involves.
In 1 John 5:3 it says, “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments.”

Jesus’ commandments show us expressions of love, but if I were going to sum it up, I would use Matthew 7:12, “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” 

It’s not a matter of all those people down at the church who don’t love me, don’t care about me, and this and that. No, the Bible says whatever you would want someone to do to you, you do to them first. That is love. It goes against our flesh, against our natural grain to seek the welfare and benefit of other people above ourselves. It takes God.

Don’t think I’m saying this can be manifested without God. The Bible says the fruit of the Spirit is love, and God is love. He is the source of love and the one who will show us how to love through His commandments. He’s the one who will give us strength, even in light of our flesh, to make the right choices and decisions and act on the right principles.

One day I wanted to go and pray as I usually did after work. I was in a park, and I said, “God, I really want to minister to somebody.” It was a fairly warm day, and I saw a little boy and a little girl sitting on the swings. There was a swing open, so I went over and got in the swing. I turned to the little girl and said, “It’s a nice day, isn’t it?”

 She said “Me no speak English,” and I asked, “Where are you from?” 

She said she was from Romania. I knew there were Romanians in that area, and I saw these people looking at me, probably wondering why I was talking to their children. I went over and said, “I want to help you.” They said, “You would want to help us?

 "Why would you want to help us?"

"You don’t even know us!” I said, “Because God wants to help you.” I had been meditating on the principles of love in 1 John 3:18 where it says, “Let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” We’re not to love with the words of our mouths only, but also with our actions.

Although I usually don’t carry money around with me, that day I had a little in my pocket. I reached out, said “This is for you,” and gave them the money. Since I’d been fasting that day, I had a little bit of food with me, so I said, “And here’s some food for your family.” They were touched and said, “Who are you?”
 I told them, “God has made a divine appointment for us to meet today, and I am going see you again.” 

I went home and told my wife about the encounter with those Romanians. I took a roast
out of our freezer and cooked it. The next day I bought a box full of dishes at a garage sale and went back to the park with my wife. The Romanians and their children were there, and I said, “I bring gifts to you. They’re heavy, so I’m going to get in my car, and if you’ll show me where you live, I’ll take the gifts to your home.”
When we got to their little one-bedroom apartment, I took the dishes and silverware—everything matched—out of the box and began to give things to them, one at a time. As I handed it to them, tears began to roll down their faces, and the lady said, “Me going to cry! Me going to cry!” 

I said, “On Monday night we have a Bible study at our home, and I would like to invite you there.” They said “We want to come,” but I said, “I don’t want you to come because I gave you gifts.”
They said, “No, we want to come and meet your friends.”

Since they didn’t have transportation, I picked them up, took them to my home, and
before long, God began to touch them. They couldn’t speak English very well, but He touched them when we prayed for them. The love of God was being manifested to them. Before long, we met another Romanian couple, and I said to the first couple, “Will you go and help me meet another Romanian couple?”

 They agreed and I got a call one day from them, “Mr. Don, we heard about you. We have the lonelies bad, and we want to meet you.” So I took my Romanian friends and went to meet them. I took gifts, food, and all kinds of things to them. As I did that and began to visit with them, everything was great until one of the first Romanian couple said, “You need to go to the Bible study. They talk about Jesus, and it’s wonderful!” They said, “Wait a minute! We came from a communist country and don’t know if there’s a God.  We don’t want this Jesus stuff.”

I said “Let me be a friend,” and began to take them out on the weekends and buy them
clothes, coats, and things they needed. They were very embarrassed and reluctant.
“Well, don’t you need a coat?”
 “Well, yes I do, but…” “Then let’s get this coat for you.”
I began to love them in action, but they wouldn’t come to our Bible study until I said, “There are probably some Americans there who will help you get a job.”
Then they came right away. At the Bible study that night, I said something very foolish to the Lord, “Lord, you’re going to have to give me a genuine gift of tongues tonight because we can’t even communicate with each other very well.”
There were some Americans at the Bible study that night who gave their testimonies. When I began to speak, the lady from the second Romanian couple began to lighten up, and I knew something was happening.

 After the study, I said “Let me pray for you,” and as we prayed, God suddenly touched them and filled the whole atmosphere of the room with His love.
Then the lady said, “You know, when the Americans were speaking, I couldn’t understand anything they were saying, but when you got up and started speaking about Jesus, His love for us, and what He did so we could have a relationship with Him, I understood every word you said!
 I understood it perfectly! It must be God! It must be God!”
 As a result, all of our lives were changed, not just the Romanians.

My home began to be filled on Monday nights with international people—Romanians,
Bulgarians, and people from Russia. God was changing lives, and they knew we loved them. We even had people from Africa. Though we could hardly speak to each other, one thing they knew: When we prayed, God would manifest Himself to them. They also knew that I would do anything for them and that I loved them. God changed their lives and the lives of many other people.
 
 It happened because one day in a park, I saw some people of another color, another nationality. I didn’t have any warm feeling of affection, but I knew that love was this: Whatever you would want someone to do to you, do to them. I sought their welfare and benefit regardless of the way I felt, and you know what happened?

 They so appreciated it that what rose up in them for me was philia love, the love that has feelings, and they began to say to me “I love you” and hug me and kiss me.
What it did in me was generate that kind of feeling for them. If you want to have a love that has feelings in your life, practice agape love. Seek the welfare and benefit of others regardless of how you feel, and this will generate a love that has feelings.

10) Love works no ill to his neighbor:
 therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.


3. Read Romans 12:19-21. How can we love our enemies,
even when we don’t feel like it?


ROMANS 12:19-21 –
21) Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place
unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay,
saith the Lord.
20) Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him;
if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap
coals of fire on his head.
21) Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.


4. Read Titus 2:4. What does this passage show us about love?

TITUS 2:4 –
 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands,
to love their children.

5. Read 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (Contemporary English
Version). Describe the principles of love in detail.

Don't give away your Inheritance? 1 of

WOW lies and falsehoods are now the norm...  Like if you do not like some term just change it, so that it does not appear to be whatever it was...  i.e.  A falsehood!

This way you fool yourself and others into thinking that something that was is now a brand new thingie...

So in the new world order everyone is now just an "IT" ; because there are not any real God designed things - therefore  people can now choose to be a "Whatever" and still attempt to believe that they are someone very important or special !

We are endowed with a God given Intelligence with which to learn and choose how to navigate this earthly existence!  

Maybe you do not realize it but You have an Eternal Inheritance in the Kingdom of God in Heaven.

The world system driven by Satan is telling everyone to follow all the publicized things to stay in tune - with the fun, fantasy and false illusion of evil!  While most is not ready recognized by most people  - it is there in many forms...

All these forms are not in themselves evil - yet they all lead away from the Word of God
because they offer many things which counter the the Holy Scriptures found in the Bible.
This is where many people are lulled or fooled into thinking that these things are not really destructive.   

Things like so called magic, or witchcraft are in much of the entertainment areas... 

** Just stop and look at most of the children's cartoons and much of the prime-time movies.  They tend to take pot shots a the truth and honesty - mostly in the name of humor or comedy.   Many programs show stealing, lies, and fornication as common action! 

**  Much of the world's entertainment is packed with evil intentions and just plain false ways of life!  Which it may seem great or OKAY sooner or later you will see the hypocrisy of the false system!  Be honest and take notice of what is happening!

So what does this say about our society?  

Now many will say that they do not see this - but if they were absolutely honest they could not defend any such actions...  Because we each have a conscience which is set upon the Absolute Truth of the Word of God!   Playing either a double standard or dismissing the truth never removes it  - it only leads to a more corrupt way of life! 

This is where most people tend to lose their Eternal Salvation - by dismissing the Gospel of Christ.  It is like when you get on a train going the wrong way - it becomes difficult to just stop and get off to return to the proper way you wanted to go...
  Most often it seems to be easy to just go with the crowd...  

All the lies in the world will NEVER make up for the TRUTH!

A Tennessee church is counting its blessings after a gunman walked into its sanctuary with several guns on Easter morning.

Police say, Marcus Donald, 31, arrived at Bellevue Baptist Church around the time of the 11 a.m. service with an estimated 4,500 people inside the church.

A church usher saw the man who was carrying several guns and alerted the church's security team. Security then contacted the Memphis Police Department.

CBN News's Charlene Aaron spoke with Andy Willis, head of the security program at Bellevue Baptist Church. He says churches must be prepared for attacks and threats and have security in place to respond.

In 2014, CBN News highlighted Bellevue Baptist, one of the largest churches in Memphis, for a story about church security. Watch that story below.

Andy Willis, who heads up security at the church, has the monumental job of keeping this large congregation safe.

"Today, churches that speak the truth, that teach and preach true biblical principles, they draw a lot of attention because there are a lot of components of society today that don't want to hear that," Willis told CBN News.

Willis said the church relies on state-of-the-art cameras.

Liberals do a poor job of defending their beliefs with facts, logic or debate, but they have become unparalleled masters at keeping their opponents’ side of the argument from being presented at all.

We have kids who are never exposed to conservatism in high school who go to college where the professors are liberal; then they graduate and get their information from their local paper and all TV outlets except for Fox which are liberal, and they watch ostensibly non-political Hollywood-produced liberal movies and TV shows that reinforce left-wing viewpoints.

As if that isn’t enough, liberals go to great lengths to convince people that their opponents are so cruel, evil, racist and despicable that their arguments are tainted by default and shouldn’t be considered at all. The few conservative speakers at colleges are often met with protests meant to block their speech while conservative students, groups and professors face open discrimination. Taking a non-liberal position can cost an actor his career, a professor his tenure and a scientist his grants. On top of all that, they’ve attempted to simply make topics that are uncomfortable for liberals “out of bounds” via political correctness. 

Noam Chomsky once wrote a famous, but perfectly ridiculous book called “Manufacturing Consent.” If you REALLY want to see what “Manufacturing Consent” looks like, look at what the Left has done in America.

You don’t think that’s true?

Then why don’t you regularly see liberals being forced to grapple with their questions like this; as often as conservatives are expected to discuss largely irrelevant topics like the Confederate flag, evolution and the non-existent “war on women?”
* Is it okay for members of the ‪#‎Blacklivesmatter‬ movement to block traffic?
Are their violence and threats acceptable?
Pretty clearly, this group tends to hate the police and could often be said to encourage violence against cops.

Do you feel the same way about the police and if not and you’re a good person, why aren’t you speaking out against their behavior?

Doesn’t the hostility generated towards the police by the #Blacklivesmatter movement particularly hurt black Americans in bad neighborhoods who desperately need to have the police safeguarding them from criminals?

How many black Americans are dead today because the police felt pressured to pull back from black communities because of the #Blacklivesmatter movement?

* Given that America has a large deficit and an unsustainable level of debt, shouldn’t we balance our budget and start paying off our debt before we consider any new non-essential spending program?

How long do you think Social Security and Medicare can survive in their current form and if the answer isn’t “indefinitely” (And I can assure you it’s not), what are you going to do about it?

Right now, liberals are blocking every change that could make either program solvent. So, are you willing to take 100% responsibility for all the good people who will be hurt when we can no longer pay senior citizens the money they’re expecting?

** This is where I get torqued off since SS was passed way before I was born and has taken out with out my approval great amount of money from my earnings and now I must only get what they dole out??
 Then they tell me I can not use or get it when or how I need or want it??

At the present rate of pay out - I will have to live over 80 years beyond S.S retirement age... Just to break even! ***

* Why do you support legally persecuting millions of Christians who quite correctly believe that they cannot live in accordance with their faith if they participate in a gay wedding?

Who’s a worse person, a Christian cake maker who happily serves gay customers, but believes it’s wrong for her to cater a gay wedding or a gay couple that deliberately searches out a Christian cake maker who can’t participate in their wedding so they can sue her?

Why should little girls be forced to share a bathroom with grown men who claim they “feel like” women?

What about their safety?

What about the fact that many of them don’t feel comfortable sharing a bathroom with someone with male genitalia?

Are you helping people or hurting them by falsely telling them they can change their sex and encouraging them to mutilate themselves through surgery instead of encouraging them to get psychiatric treatment?

* Does it matter if anti-poverty policies work?

 If programs don’t work, shouldn’t they be abandoned?

Is it good for people to be on welfare and food stamps long-term? Does it matter that the number of people on disability is so historically high that a significant percentage of the people receiving it almost have to be doing so fraudulently?

Are we fulfilling our responsibility to the taxpayers to make sure their money is used to TEMPORARILY help people who really need it?

*** BTW: the Constitution says " to provide for the General Welfare " not the specific welfare of those who do not work or contribute... HUH? ***

* The real world is not a “safe space” and very few people want hypersensitive weenies who complain about microaggressions around them. So aren’t liberals setting students up for failure by coddling them so much?

When you set up kangaroo courts in colleges that are heavily slanted against men accused of rape while allowing women who make false accusations to avoid punishment, aren’t you setting up an environment that guarantees many young men will have their lives ruined over lies?

Why should an illegal alien get in-state tuition when an American citizen from out of state has to pay more?

* Cities like New Orleans, Detroit and Flint, Michigan are run entirely by liberals and have been for a long time. Liberals are wonderful at shifting the blame to conservatives, but what are the liberal responsibilities for the problems those cities have?   Plus these cities seem to have the highest crime rates...

Of the eight states that are closest to bankruptcy, seven of them have been generally controlled by liberals over the last few decades (Illinois, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, California and Kentucky – which was largely controlled by Democrats until the last decade or so). What have liberals done wrong in those states?

What do they need to do to achieve financial stability, especially given that California, New York and New Jersey already have some of the highest taxes in the nation?

* How many Americans are out of work because illegal aliens have taken their jobs?

How many Americans are on government assistance either because they’ve lost their jobs or because illegals have driven down the wage they can be paid?

How many millions of Americans have been robbed, raped or murdered because we refuse to secure our borders?
When you encourage this kind of lawbreaking, what message does it send to legal immigrants?

What message does it send about how meaningful the rule of law is to ALL AMERICANS?
*** Message is the law of the Jungle or a failure of the modern world! **

Of course, we could go on and on like this for thousands of words because there are so many obvious questions that should be asked about what liberals are doing to America. Since liberals don’t have good answers for these questions, they do everything they can to avoid answering them and more importantly, to keep them from being asked.

You’re not going to see a discussion about this on CNN, you’re not going to hear it in a college classroom and Hollywood isn’t going to make a new TV show that talks about how awful it is that Christians are persecuted for refusing to cater gay weddings. Unless liberals are forced to account for the poor performance, injustice and immorality of the policies they’ve been so successful in advocating, it will eventually destroy this country….
and “eventually” may be a lot sooner than most people think.

What is the Truth in your life? 1 of (many to follow)

 What happened to:  Integrity?
                               Responsibility?
                               Truth?
                               or Concern for neighbors and friends?

 Most of this is based upon seeking and following the Absolute Truth of God in your life!

 Truth some say - what is that?

 Well I must admit after living over 50 years and seeing how many people actually think they know the whole truth - no wonder that it has become distorted and made into a coat of many colors...  People use the truth to get their way!

*** {This has come to astound me -  which has made me more interested in seeking and living the Absolute Truth in my life; after finding how much evil has corrupted much of the world today!}

Most so called truth is whatever someone wants to make it!  Yet the lose of the absolute sense of Honesty and Absolute Truth;  has been used to cover many lies and promote falsehoods.

 Shame is the key word that fits this form of general operation in the society -  because many feel that the ends justify the means...  Which is to do what ever to get your way!
This is the way of Evil - plain and simple!  If you do not believe it just read on if you dare!

 Rather than just listing all the crap used today in the modern world - I will skip to the Absolute Better and Eternal Plan and ultimately the best solution.  This is where you will and can get the whole truth!

In other words, the Lord gave mankind total dominion but mankind is not presently exercising their God-given authority over the earth. That is because we sold out to the devil and he has been using that authority to oppress mankind (Genesis 3:6).

 All of this changed through Jesus. He gained back the authority lost and then gave it back to those who believe in Him. Plus, He gave us authority in heaven that Adam and Eve never had (see my note at Matthew 28:18). 

But even this new superior authority that we have in Christ is not being fully utilized. It is according to our faith (Ephesians 3:20).

Liberals do a poor job of defending their beliefs with facts, logic or debate, but they have become unparalleled masters at keeping their opponents’ side of the argument from being presented at all.

We have kids who are never exposed to conservatism in high school who go to college where the professors are liberal; then they graduate and get their information from their local paper and all TV outlets except for Fox which are liberal, and they watch ostensibly non-political Hollywood-produced liberal movies and TV shows that reinforce left-wing viewpoints.

As if that isn’t enough, liberals go to great lengths to convince people that their opponents are so cruel, evil, racist and despicable that their arguments are tainted by default and shouldn’t be considered at all. The few conservative speakers at colleges are often met with protests meant to block their speech while conservative students, groups and professors face open discrimination. Taking a non-liberal position can cost an actor his career, a professor his tenure and a scientist his grants. On top of all that, they’ve attempted to simply make topics that are uncomfortable for liberals “out of bounds” via political correctness.

Noam Chomsky once wrote a famous, but perfectly ridiculous book called “Manufacturing Consent.” If you REALLY want to see what “Manufacturing Consent” looks like, look at what the Left has done in America.

You don’t think that’s true? Then why don’t you regularly see liberals being forced to grapple with questions like this as often as conservatives are expected to discuss largely irrelevant topics like the Confederate flag, evolution and the non-existent “war on women?”

* Is it okay for members of the #Blacklivesmatter movement to block traffic? Are their violence and threats acceptable? Pretty clearly, this group hates the police and could fairly be said to encourage violence against cops. Do you feel the same way about the police and if not and you’re a good person, why aren’t you speaking out against their behavior? Doesn’t the hostility generated towards the police by the #Blacklivesmatter movement particularly hurt black Americans in bad neighborhoods who desperately need to have the police safeguarding them from criminals? How many black Americans are dead today because the police felt pressured to pull back from black communities because of the #Blacklivesmatter movement?

* Given that America has a large deficit and an unsustainable level of debt, shouldn’t we balance our budget and start paying off our debt before we consider any new non-essential spending program? How long do you think Social Security and Medicare can survive in their current form and if the answer isn’t “indefinitely” (And I can assure you it’s not), what are you going to do about it? Right now, liberals are blocking every change that could make either program solvent. So, are you willing to take 100% responsibility for all the good people who will be hurt when we can no longer pay senior citizens the money they’re expecting?

* Why do you support legally persecuting millions of Christians who quite correctly believe that they cannot live in accordance with their faith if they participate in a gay wedding? Who’s a worse person, a Christian cake maker who happily serves gay customers, but believes it’s wrong for her to cater a gay wedding or a gay couple that deliberately searches out a Christian cake maker who can’t participate in their wedding so they can sue her? Why should little girls be forced to share a bathroom with grown men who claim they “feel like” women? What about their safety? What about the fact that many of them don’t feel comfortable sharing a bathroom with someone with male genitalia? Are you helping people or hurting them by falsely telling them they can change their sex and encouraging them to mutilate themselves through surgery instead of encouraging them to get psychiatric treatment?

* Does it matter if anti-poverty policies work? If programs don’t work, shouldn’t they be abandoned? Is it good for people to be on welfare and food stamps long-term? Does it matter that the number of people on disability is so historically high that a significant percentage of the people receiving it almost have to be doing so fraudulently? Are we fulfilling our responsibility to the taxpayers to make sure their money is used to TEMPORARILY help people who really need it?

* The real world is not a “safe space” and very few people want hypersensitive weenies who complain about microaggressions around them. So aren’t liberals setting students up for failure by coddling them so much? When you set up kangaroo courts in colleges that are heavily slanted against men accused of rape while allowing women who make false accusations to avoid punishment, aren’t you setting up an environment that guarantees many young men will have their lives ruined over lies? Why should an illegal alien get in-state tuition when an American citizen from out of state has to pay more?

* Cities like New Orleans, Detroit and Flint, Michigan are run entirely by liberals and have been for a long time. Liberals are wonderful at shifting the blame to conservatives, but what are the liberal responsibilities for the problems those cities have? Of the eight states that are closest to bankruptcy, seven of them have been generally controlled by liberals over the last few decades (Illinois, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, California and Kentucky – which was largely controlled by Democrats until the last decade or so). What have liberals done wrong in those states? What do they need to do to achieve financial stability, especially given that California, New York and New Jersey already have some of the highest taxes in the nation?

* How many Americans are out of work because illegal aliens have taken their jobs? How many Americans are on government assistance either because they’ve lost their jobs or because illegals have driven down the wage they can be paid? How many millions of Americans have been robbed, raped or murdered because we refuse to secure our borders? When you encourage this kind of lawbreaking, what message does it send to legal immigrants? What message does it send about how meaningful the rule of law is to ALL AMERICANS?

Of course, we could go on and on like this for thousands of words because there are so many obvious questions that should be asked about what liberals are doing to America. Since liberals don’t have good answers for these questions, they do everything they can to avoid answering them and more importantly, to keep them from being asked. You’re not going to see a discussion about this on CNN, you’re not going to hear it in a college classroom and Hollywood isn’t going to make a new TV show that talks about how awful it is that Christians are persecuted for refusing to cater gay weddings. Unless liberals are forced to account for the poor performance, injustice and immorality of the policies they’ve been so successful in advocating, it will eventually destroy this country….and “eventually” may be a lot sooner than most people think.

The MIND Diet May Help Prevent Even Alzheimer’s

Want another great reason to eat healthy? The food choices you make daily might lower your odds of getting Alzheimer’s disease, some scientists say.

Researchers have found that people who stuck to a diet that included foods like berries, leafy greens, and fish had a major drop in their risk for the memory-sapping disorder, which affects more than 5 million Americans over age 65.

The eating plan is called the MIND diet. Here’s how it works.

Brain-Friendly Foods

MIND stands for Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay. It’s similar to two other healthy meal plans: the DASH diet and the Mediterranean diet.

But the MIND approach “specifically includes foods and nutrients that medical literature and data show to be good for the brain, such as berries,” says Martha Clare Morris, ScD, director of nutrition and nutritional epidemiology at Rush University Medical Center.

You eat things from these 10 food groups:

• Green leafy vegetables (like spinach and salad greens): At least six servings a week
• Other vegetables: At least one a day
• Nuts: Five servings a week
• Berries: Two or more servings a week
• Beans: At least three servings a week
• Whole grains: Three or more servings a day
• Fish: Once a week
• Poultry (like chicken or turkey): Two times a week
• Olive oil: Use it as your main cooking oil.
• Wine: One glass a day

You avoid:

• Red meat: Less than four servings a week
• Butter and margarine: Less than a tablespoon daily
• Cheese: Less than one serving a week
• Pastries and sweets: Less than five servings a week
• Fried or fast food: Less than one serving a week

The Benefits

One study showed that people who stuck to the MIND diet lowered their risk of Alzheimer’s disease by 54%. That’s big. But maybe even more importantly, researchers found that adults who followed the diet only part of the time still cut their risk of the disease by about 35%. 

On the other hand, people who followed the DASH and Mediterranean diets “moderately” had almost no drop in their Alzheimer’s risk, Morris says.

Scientists need to do more research on the MIND approach, “but it’s a very promising start. It shows that what you eat can make an impact on whether you develop late-onset Alzheimer’s,” which is the most common form of the disease, says Cecilia Rokusek, a registered dietitian at Nova Southeastern University.

Should You Follow the MIND Diet?

Even if you don’t have a family history of Alzheimer’s disease or other risk factors, you may still want to try this eating plan. It focuses on nutritious whole foods, so “it’s not just good for your brain. It’s good your heart and overall health, too,” says Majid Fotuhi, MD, PhD. He is the chairman and CEO of the Memosyn Neurology Institute.

One of the best things about the plan is that you don’t have to stick to it perfectly to see benefits, Rokusek says. “That makes it more likely you’ll follow it for a long time,” she says. And the longer people eat the MIND way, the lower their risk of getting Alzheimer’s disease, Morris says.

If you do decide to make your diet more MIND-like, Rokusek recommends you take a few extra steps. “Keep your portions in check, and be careful about how food is prepared. Sauces, breading, and oils can add extra calories and hidden ingredients like sugar,” she says. “Make a point to drink several glasses of water a day, too.”

Last, understand that even though diet plays a big role, “it’s only one aspect of Alzheimer’s disease,” Fotuhi says. So get regular exercise and manage your stress to lower your risk even more, he says.

What is it used for?

Overview Lecithin originated from the Greek “Lekithos,” referring to egg yolk. Lecithin is a common compound found in cells of all living organisms, its presence is required for proper biological function.
It also is an edible and digestible surfactant and emulsifier. Lecithin is used as an emulsifying and stabilizing agent in the food (eg, margarine, chocolate production), pharmaceutical, and cosmetic (eg, creams, lipsticks, conditioners) industries.
 

Neurological conditions Pharmacological use of lecithin includes treatment for neurologic disorders and dementias. Lecithin is a good source of choline for treatment in dementias. Phosphatidylcholine is thought to be a precursor for acetylcholine (Ach) synthesis. Choline increases the accumulation of Ach within the brain. Ach is important for many brain functions including memory, so increasing concentration of this neurotransmitter may result in improved memory. Variable results occur using lecithin supplementation for treatment of neurologic disorders.
Liver/Cholesterol effects Lecithin also is used to treat liver ailments and hypercholesterolemia. The mechanism appears to be enhancement of cholesterol metabolism in the digestive system. Lecithin seems to possess beneficial properties in reducing cholesterol levels and controlling or preventing atherosclerosis. However, studies from the late 1970s to early 1980s provide insufficient clinical or epidemiologic evidence to entirely support its positive effects against atherosclerosis. Although other studies from this time appear promising, no study was definitive with respect to atherosclerosis progression.
Other uses It also has been used to modify the immune system by activating specific and nonspecific defense systems. Clinical studies need to be performed to verify this use.

What is the recommended dosage?

Studies of lecithin in cognitive impairment have used a wide variety of doses, from 1 to 35 g daily. A systematic review has been published.

How safe is it?

Contraindications Contraindications have not yet been identified.
Pregnancy/nursing Information regarding safety and efficacy in pregnancy and lactation is lacking.
Interactions None well documented.
Side Effects Adverse effects usually are not associated with lecithin. However, there have been reports of anorexia, nausea, increased salivation, other GI effects, and hepatitis.
Toxicities Research reveals little or no information regarding toxicology with the use of this product.

Tesla Motors of 2006 runs on a electric motor with a rack of batteries. Nik's Car was Wireless Dude!   No need for downtime recharging it.  Return to Tesla Company like back in 1930. Wireless free radiant energy!  Nikola Tesla had an Electric Pierce Arrow back in 1930, the ICE engine was replaced with an Electric Motor. The power source was a black box of radio tubes, in the glove compartment. The box had an antenna sticking out. Tesla would fool with some tuners and tune in the right frequency and got 240 volts delivered through the air to his car. The car ran almost silent. He had the car stashed in a barn near Niagara Falls. He was sending the energy from the Power Plant, some how. He said this power could be made possible for everyone. J.P. Morgan did not like the idea, because where do you put the meter?  Morgan stopped funding and Tesla's Wardencliffe Tower was destroyed & taken down. Tesla sent a particle beam to the stratosphere and down to Siberia. soon after he leveled an estimated 60 million trees over 2,150 square kilometers, felling them radial outward from the blast center in Tunguska, Siberia, Russia in June of 1908. The tower would have made war obsolete. WOW... But they did want that! We were denied this FREE power and NO MORE WAR machine. We were denied the privilege, instead we get wars over false flag operations with so called pilot terrorists with no weapons of MD.  Now we pay for gas and get to breath un-natural SMOG from burning dirty hydro-carbons along with 13 bad to breathe chemicals, know to cause cancer. We could be driving our cars with water as the gas, and steam in the tail pipes. Here is the story : In 1930, Nikola Tesla asked his nephew, Petar Savo, who was born in Yugoslavia in 1899, to come to New York. Petar was 43 years younger than his uncle. Up to that date he had lived under stringent conditions in Yugoslavia, Tesla's country of birth. During the summer of 1931, Tesla took his nephew to Buffalo to unveil and test a new automobile. Tesla had developed it with his own personal funds. It was a Pierce Arrow, one of the luxury cars of the period. The engine had been removed, leaving the clutch, gearbox and transmission to the rear wheels undisturbed. The gasoline engine had been replaced with a round, completely enclosed electric motor of approximately 1m in length and 65cm in diameter, with a cooling fan in front. Reputedly, it has no distributor.  Tesla was not willing to say who had manufactured the engine. It was possibly one of the divisions of Westinghouse. The "energy receiver" (gravitational energy converter) had been built by Tesla himself. The dimensions of the converter housing were approximately 60 x 25 x 15cm. It was installed in front of the dashboard. Among other things, the converter contained 12 vacuum tubes, of which three were of the 70-L-7 type. A heavy antenna approximately 1.8 meters long, came out of the converter. This antenna apparently had the same function as that on the Moray converter (see chapter on Radiant Energy). Furthermore, two thick rods protruded approximately 10cm from the converter housing. Tesla pushed them in saying "Now we have power." The motor achieved a maximum of 1800rpm. Tesla said it was fairly hot when operating, and therefore a cooling fan was required. For the rest, he said there was enough power in the converter to illuminate an entire house, besides running the car engine. The car was tested for a week, reaching a top speed of 90 miles per hour effortlessly. Its performance data were at least comparable to those of an automobile using gasoline. At a stop sign, a passerby remarked that there were no exhaust gasses coming from the exhaust pipe. Petar answered "We have no motor." The car was kept on a farm, perhaps 20 miles outside of Buffalo, not far from Niagara Falls. A few months after this automobile test, and because of the economic crisis at the time, Pierce Arrow had to stop production. It is very likely that the interconnection between the electric motor and the transmission had been performed there. Pierce Arrow's tools were taken over by Studebaker, in South Bend.  Not quite 30 years later, the rest of the Pierce Arrow company also vanished in the form of American Motors, which had been formed when Hudson merged jointly with Nash. Later, some of its fans attempted to resuscitate the Pierce Arrow. Unfortunately, they were not successful. Thus, today that company's name is in a mausoleum, together with others, such as Horch, Maybach, Hispano-Suiza, Bugatti and Isotta Fraschini. He has near 1200 patents. George Westinghouse, only paid Tesla a portion of the patent money he owed Tesla because, he and his Westinghouse Co. was almost bankrupt at one point. He asked Tesla to forgive the rest of the debt to keep The Westinghouse Co. going. Tesla for his good friend George Westinghouse - forgave the debt and therefore never got all the money he was due. This is a testament to Tesla's generosity and his total disregard for money, even to his own financial well being. Tesla was not a good business man. Tesla had an uncle who lived to be 140 years old. Tesla could recall every page he ever read from memory - exactly as written. Tesla intentionally sabotaged the Philadelphia experiment when he found out the Navy was going to put men on the ship without further testing. 99%25 of all the things Tesla said he could do that everyone thought were boastful and crazy were absolutely true and most of them are just barely beginning to be understood. He thought Einstein and his Theory of Relativity was wrong - and it is. Einstein based his theory on the speed of Light. But that is only the speed of light from our perspective on earth. Einstein forgot to tell the rest of the Universe that light could only go 186,000 miles per second. In the rest of our Galaxy and in the Universe Light has a much higher speed limit. The speed of Light was measured in 1887 by two guys with a light and two mirrors. No one has re measured it since. They were off a bit. An old saying goes. "Those who say something can't be done - should stop bothering those who are doing it! The sky is NOT the limit. Celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Nikola Tesla's birth!

It could power cars, trains and airplanes, boats, buses, etc. A totally clean safe power source. Makes Nuclear Energy seem down right dangerous. Born on July 10th, 1856 at exactly midnight & lived 87 years, until 1943. This year 2006, they celebrated his 150th B-Day!  He has about 700 patents in his name. He invented the radio, the telephone, the TV, AC poly phase, 60 cycle electricity, fluorescent & neon lights, the brush less motor, wireless communications, the Tesla coil, all coils we use today, transformers and just about everything at a power plant. Hydro-generators, Laser beams, Particle Beams, helicopters, robotics and many more inventions. Also he died a poor man, such a shame for a man who gave so much and had a heart for mankind with FREE Energy for all to use. This should show you how screwed up our planet is.
