Once a year on my Birthday; I just stop and reflect on who, what and where I have been...
Having seen LXXV summers and hearing a many things over the years - it has allowed me to develop and now share some wisdom!
An old saying " That truth is stranger than fiction " is so true today; specifically with the advent in the past 100 years of radio, movies, TV, and now the WWW - Net and cell fons - Fiction now abounds while the Truth is seldom seen or heard! Many People follow every celeb or sports hero or any other gruesome news story that comes along... Why mainly because they do not trust their own thoughts or do they seem to be able to reason very well.. They are unsure as to what is right or true!
I have always attempted to seek out the truth and real facts in life. One of the key things I learned is in order to master information or come to some form of comprehension - it is necessary to be able to reason. But for many it is like - Reason and logic left town many years ago.
Now some must follow the lives and tales of pundits and famous people in order to feel any gratification in life! Because they do not understand how to think for themselves... Sad!
Without your own reason and discernment in this world of complex and complicated things - there is not any light at the end of the tunnel. The worse things is you will continue to move in ever small circles looking for the truth! Yet seeking truth is a simple and disciplined system of coming to understand yourself and the environment around you! This allows you to function well with others and also learn and progress on into Eternity when done correctly!
