The Government Has Always Used Alternative Facts
|

The government lies.
It’s the "alternative facts" nomenclature that’s new. Sort of has a ring to it, doesn’t it?
Almost like the “Newspeak” used by the tyrannical government in George Orwell’s 1984, which almost always had the opposite meaning — “war is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength.”
That book has topped Amazon’s bestseller list since Trump took office.
Anyway…
Do you remember when they gave Obama a
peace prize and then he bombed the predominantly Muslim countries of
Pakistan, Libya, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Somalia, and Yemen?
Is that an alternative fact?
Just an oxymoron?
Were there protests in the street for that?
I don’t recall.
And how about the time Obama’s State
Department stopped processing Iraqi refugees for six months, “even for
many who had heroically helped U.S. forces as interpreters and
intelligence assets,” according to federal officials.
That’s a fact — not an alternative one.
