THE FATHER'S REDEMPTION PLAN - 16 Dec '16

THE FATHER'S REDEMPTION PLAN - 16 Dec '16

Luke 24:21
"But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this,
to day is the third day since these things were done."

When the perfect time came, God sent forth His Son from Heaven from His pre-existent state, into the world. He was born of a woman (by a virgin birth) and was made subject to the requirements of both the law of God and also of man.

Thus Jesus was sent at a specific time.
The entrance of Jesus into the physical realm was not a random thing occurring at a haphazard time. There were developments that had to take place eons before Christ could come to earth to redeem mankind. The Father sent His Son to the earth at the exact and earliest possible time.
Anytime prior to the time Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, would have been premature. As all things have been worked out by our Heavenly Father!

His purpose for coming into the world was twofold.

- First, He came to "redeem them that were under the law." He did this by perfectly keeping the law, fulfilling it, and paying its curse (Mt. 5:17; Gal. 3:13). Thus, Christ delivered us from the entire system of the law. The Greek word for redeem means "to buy OUT OF the slave market."
{BTW: for all those who harp upon slavery in the world today - remember we were or have been all slaves - to sin at some time in our earthly existence!} Because we could never have bought ourselves out of this wicked evil bondage!

Deuteronomy 15:15 (NIV)
15 Remember that you were slaves in Egypt {the world} and the Lord your God redeemed {bought you for a price to be free} you. That is why I give you this command today.
{So that you can share this with your neighbors}

- Secondly, Christ gave us the status of son ship {thus becoming adopted or having a direct relationship with Almighty God} with all its privileges. Not only were we redeemed from the bondage of the law, but we were redeemed unto son ship. Many people stop short, only realizing what they were delivered from, not what they inherit. {Sad that the comes in to many lives devil steals away this most important event or relationship!}
Sure, we need to rejoice that we are redeemed, but we also need to move on, and realize the full benefits of our inheritance.

God created us for Himself; yet we sold ourselves {voluntarily} into slavery to the devil.
God bought us back through the precious blood {no other thing or event could have done it!} of Jesus Christ. No amount of effort, human works, or man's own righteousness could bring the divine favor that we needed.

It was the actual life of God (Lev. 17:11) that purchased our redemption.
