Post-election lame duck sessions are designed to avoid the will of the American people. These sessions result in last minute deal-cutting that undermines governmental transparency and conservative priorities.

Kerminator,Senate Republicans are actively negotiating with the White House and liberal Senators to pass a short-term continuing resolution this week. Text of the deal is not available, but based on reports this short-term funding bill is going to be a loss for conservatives.
What can we expect in this week’s continuing resolution?
Increased Spending:
Year after year we have seen Congress push the debate until the end of
the year, only to pass a bill that dramatically increases overall
spending, leading to Congress spending a total of $174 billion over the
budget caps since 2013. This week’s bill will likely continue that trend
with emergency spending measures and various funding gimmicks. On top
of it all, the bill will likely allow Planned Parenthood to receive even
more of your hard-earned money.
Return of Crony Capitalism:
Big government cronies are again using this budget battle as a chance
to help revitalize the Export-Import Bank. Currently, the Bank is in a
holding pattern because they lack the proper number of voting members to
approve deals over $10 million. A new rider could revoke the quorum
requirement and undermine the very essence of checks and balances.
Unaccountable Lame-Duck Session:
The Senate’s 10-week continuing resolution would move the debate into
December, after many members of Congress have been voted out of office
and are no longer accountable to the people. This means that President
Obama can work with unaccountable lawmakers to pass big government, big
business priorities over the objections of the American people.
It’s time to hold your member of Congress accountable and tell them #NoLameDuck.
