Dear Dr. Kim,
In early January I received the wake up call of my lifetime
when I wound up at the hospital with a massive heart attack.
After a series of tests with a reputable cardiologist, I was
told that my best option was bypass surgery which I wasn't
jovial about because my pops died on the operating table when
he was 78.
I was considering all of my options when my sister sent me
an article of yours on factors that influence heart disease.
I don't know what it was about that article that gave me
hope, but it was a real turning point. It made me realize
that I had never given myself a legitimate chance to be healthy.
I cleaned up my diet, virtually eliminating sugar and
foods made with white flour. I also took your recommendations

taking 8 teaspoons of your organic acerola cherry powder
a day. My goal was to keep all of the benefits of vitamin C
flowing through my cardiovascular system all day long.
I'll never know what was chiefly responsible for the
turnaround with my health. I'm sure all of it helped. Losing
35 unneeded pounds, cutting sugar, staying away from things
that stress me out, getting more rest, megadosing on
vitamin C, receiving unconditional support and love from
my family. I shocked the world, including my family physician
and cardiologist. They tell me that my numbers are that
of a healthy young adult, not a 67 year old fella who had
a massive heart attack 9 months ago.
I don't normally write letters like this one but I want
you to know you made a real difference to my family's life.
You inspired me to save myself, and for this I will always
be thankful.

I have never suggested that someone take as many as 8 teaspoons
of organic acerola cherry powder daily; the most I have suggested
is 6 flat teaspoons when wanting to "mega-dose" for any reason,
be it to facilitate healing of damaged tissues, including blood
vessel walls, or to support immune function. But given what David
experienced, I will be trying a higher daily quantity for similar
situations in the months ahead. There is no danger of toxicity
in taking large amounts of organic acerola cherries, and there
is no question that the full vitamin C complex can facilitate
healing of damaged tissues, including buildup of plaque within
blood vessel walls.
