We often miss the importance -

Here is an example of how we miss the real reason and purpose of an event in our lives...

John 1:1-14King James Version (KJV)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
That was the true Light, which lights every man that comes into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

   ==================================================

" The Word was made flesh " so the wisdom of God could come within the reach of all human beings.
For His Word  -  the expression of the whole Truth about Almighty God. - is far beyond our comprehension. No creature can ever fully understand his creator.  But the Word, the Son of God, put on a human form, so that infinite Truth could be seen in finite terms.

He humbled himself, coming down to the lowest level. Those who will join Him there - denying themselves, taking the low place - will be raised up with Him to the very heights of Heaven.

It is not easy for man to stoop so low, or abandon their self-confidence.
But when we see the divine Son lying, as it were, at our feet, wrapped in the cloths of human poverty, then our heart may be moved and our pride cured. Because when we grow weary of trying, as it were to prove ourselves, we may then be ready to cast ourselves upon Christ.

When we do, He who came down to where we are, it raises us up to where He is!
