Besides, there are several other treatment options for the following complications:
  • Ascites or Edema: This is treated using low sodium diet and water pills, in chronic cases, the fluid is fully drained and at times even the surgery is done for the same.
  • Treatment of swollen varices: If patient facing this issue with bloody stools or vomit, make sure you need an immediate medical attention, which deals with dealing with esophageal varices treatment.
  • Liver Transplant: If nothing works, the patient has no option but to go with the surgical procedure called liver transplant.
