The Institution of Marriage as God Intended
{Not what many think today!}
“For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.— Ephesians 5:31-32
•Marriage is the oldest institution on the planet—created before sin, before Israel, before government, and before the church. •Satan hates marriage because of what it represents—Christ and the church.
•The destruction of marriage and the unintended consequences are happening fast in our society today. •The homosexual issue is not marriage and is undermining the whole issue (Andrew). •It’s causing such confusion for young people and churches today. •Homosexuality was dealt with severely before the law of Moses (Sodom and Gomorrah), under the law of Moses (Leviticus), and after the law in New Testament Grace (Rom. 1).
•God created marriage and has the authority to define one. “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.” —Hebrews 13:4
•God is not punishing anyone today for faults or shortcomings, even in their sexuality. •He has forewarned us that Jesus is coming again, and these things will be judged. •God has dealt with sexual purity throughout His Word.
•Once you get into sexual perversion, it defiles everything that’s pure in your life. •There is no such thing as “gay marriage” only marriage according to God. • In 1 Corinthians 5 a man was sleeping with his step-mother, and church discipline was invoked.
•If we can’t speak the truth in love as to what a marriage is, where are we going as a church?
•This is the tip of a spear, the point that Satan is using to penetrate our society (Andrew). •The church and government, according to the Bible, are the only two things keeping outright corruption and immorality from destroying the human race. •We are here to serve God and warn people in love of impending consequences. •You are capable of any illegal and immoral act—unless you walk in the Spirit.
•King David had “neighbor’s wife attraction,” and it led to nothing but evil and harm. •Only the grace of God brought something good of that situation. •This IS happening!
•Go to God for your solutions and not political parties. Let’s let Jesus define marriage: “And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.
And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you? And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away. And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.” — Mark 10:2-6
•Jesus said that God created them male and female in a marriage.
•There was no such thing as gender confusion before we opened the door to homosexuality. •Your genetics are either XX or XY, and there should be no confusion. •Genesis 9:4 says that your blood decides what gender you are! •God put it in your genetic code so you would not be confused.
•What God has joined together let no man, no president, no political party, and no judge put asunder!
