If
a person claims to be a Christian, then why wouldn't they seek God's
Word for instructions in their lives?
The answer is obvious and all we need to do is look around us for the answer. Society today is basically made up of physical things, the worship of things has taken.Sadly, there are people who would try to control society so that there is a great divide between the classes, creating envy and strife. This only exacerbates our lack of desire for dependency in God, it even creates a mentality against God for not providing everything that we "want"!
Fortunately, I am aware of the serpents plan to draw attention away from God and our dependency on God by convincing people that they need a government to care for them, a government that will guarantee that they get their fair share. Society desires a physical god, a physical world that they believe is real and the answer to their needs and desires. God is not a physical being, He's a Spiritual being, something that world cannot grasp. II Corinthians 4:18 KJB.
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for things that are seen are temporal; but things which are not seen are eternal. Amen. No one cares about eternal life, we live in a time when immediate gratification is god and the world order is offering the lie that it will provide everything that we need. An interesting concept is being taught in schools today, they are teaching the concept that the devil needs to coerce the world to accept the mark of the beast.
Everything that society needs and has become dependent on is now available through the use of something that we refer to as out cell phones. So innocent that people have adopted them as their new best bestie, their best friend, they share things that were once unmentionable even to family with the world, they spend days, even nights clutching their phones, their computer, they spend more time with the means that the devil has created to serve him, refusing to spend any time with God or seeking Salvation. I sit and think about how many people will suffer and die an eternal death because the serpent once more has deceived the world.
Throughout the history of the world, mankind has sought any means, any god that they could conceive, even crystals and stones before they would acknowledge the God that created them. They have throughout history believed the lies of the devil before they would seek The Truth provided by Almighty God.
Jesus may not have returned yet to claim His church of believers, and yet the end of times as we have known them are over! and mankind once again has failed much like they have so many times disappointing God and refusing His promise of a wonderful eternal life without all of the things that the devil has imposed on the world. I beseech you to turn away from the deception of the devil, the serpent of the garden, and to seek God with all your heart, to ask God what His will is for you and to become obedient to His will.
Life is short and hell is eternal, if you believe that you can't do without the world today, that you can only be bought with material things, that God has nothing to offer, that you not willing to wait for what the world has convinced you that you "deserve", then just consider that eternity is forever and ever!
I choose God and Jesus! Amen. { He is the only sane and true answer!}
