The Fight for Faith

I.

We need to be preparing and tralning constantly for the Fight for Faith

a.

1 Timothy 6:12 KJV‐ “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on

eternal life, whereunto

thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession befo

re many witnesses.”

b.

2 Timothy 4:7 KJV‐ “I have fought a good fight, I have finished

my course, I have kept the.faith:”

c.

1 Timothy 2:1‐4 KJV‐ “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers,

intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are inauthority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the

knowledge of the truth.

i.

God wants us to fight for the faith so that we can have an envi

ronment where we can come to the full knowledge of truth.

ii.

Proverbs is the way we learn how to deal with

one another.

iii.

It is not enough to pray for Kings and those in authority. Pray

for ALL men.

II.

Why is there a fight?

a.

We have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heave

nly places. (Ephesians1:3)

b.

Those blessings are our “hope”. (Ephesians 1:18 -19)

c.

Faith is the evidence of that ho

pe and the evidence of those blessings. (Hebrews 11:1)

d.

Without faith it is impossibleto please God. (Hebrews 11:6)

e.

According to Jesus, Paul, Matthew, Peter, and John the one they

called the devil, enemy, adversary, satan is therefore in a fight for that faith

III.

The Fight for Faith to Change Culture

a.

During the Revolutionary War, 25% of the people that fought in

the world believed in freedom and fought for freedom. 

Only 8% of those people actually did anything for the

revolutionary war effort. (David Barton)

b.

We need to find that 8% that will fight for faith and change/in

fluence the culture.

c.

We have been given a God‐given opportunity to change our culture.
