Walking in the Spirit

Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
How do you walk in the Spirit?

The way you do this is through living by, conducting your actions according to, and following the leading of the Word of God as quickened to you by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit and the Word of God agree perfectly because the Holy Spirit is the one who inspired the written Word of God.

Denying the flesh will not result in walking in the Spirit. Walking in the Spirit will result in denying the flesh. This may seem like a subtle difference to some, but the difference is truly profound. As a whole, false religions teach that as we overcome our flesh, there is a noticeable increase in the presence and power of God in our lives. That was what the Pharisees of Jesus' day and the legalistic Jews of Paul's day taught.

Just the opposite is true. As we experience more of the presence and power of the Spirit of God, then the influence of the flesh is diminished. Victory must come in this order. We don't walk in the Spirit as a result of overcoming the flesh, rather overcoming the flesh is the result of walking in the Spirit.

It's similar to how you fill a dark room with light. You don't shovel out the darkness and then light appears. No!
You simply turn on the light and the darkness flees. Much of religion preaches to stop sinning (get rid of the darkness) and then the Holy Spirit will come and empower you (the light will come).  But that's not the way it works.

Man can no more get rid of the power of the flesh on his own than he can get rid of the power of darkness without light. We have to receive the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives by grace and then the union with the Holy Spirit breaks the power of the flesh.

The key to breaking the dominion of the flesh is to appropriate the power of the Spirit through faith, while the flesh is still causing us problems. Those who are waiting for the Spirit to manifest after they have subdued the flesh will wait as long as the man who is trying to get rid of the darkness so the light will appear.

" No way!" - it is not going to happen!

Things we do...

Things we do...

If you are not happy it may just be your attitude... HUH!!
Now I know that a lot of people will come back with
" Oh, you just do not know what I have to go through!! "

Well I may not know the exact events, but I am sure; after many years,
I have either seen, experienced or heard of just about every possible scenario ...
So before you go and try me, let us get one thing straight...

** An old story I learned is that if you could take every known problem people to have and put
them in a big pile; so that they could be given out equally to everyone  -
Most people would tend to want their original problems back because they know them!

You can learn to be as happy or content as you allow yourself to be... This is a state of mind...
Life is about being the person God wants you to be!!
Learn yourself and stop blaming others for your failures and problems!

Yes, this requires you to think and take certain actions that may not support those various worldviews and activists... But just stop and think where are these things going to be in the Eternity to come?? All the games, or gangs, or jobs, or houses, or trips, or, cloths, or money, or Dope, or any of the myriad of earthly items you can come up with will go with you into the "Here After". Got it?
So why are you so hell-bent on pursuing things that will not never make any difference in the eons to
come...   And that is a long long long time!

This is where your attitude and realization of what is really important comes in...
Just maybe you need to sit down and rethink where you are or what you have been. thru...

Who said you were naked?

November 2018 E-Newsletter

Who Told You That You Were Naked?

A Study of the Conscience
Not too long ago, the Lord woke me up with a startling question:
"Who told you that you were naked?" Well, that certainly got my attention!  You'll see where God was going with that question a
little later. But first, let's look at Genesis 2:16-17:

And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

When Adam and Eve ate the fruit, they experienced two deaths: spiritual and physical. They were instantly separated from God spiritually, which is what spiritual death is. And they eventually died physically, which was simply a result of the spiritual death that happened the instant they ate the fruit.

Although most people look at things from only a physical, natural standpoint, death isn't just physical. Things like depression, fear, discouragement, and shame are all types of death with spiritual roots.

When Adam and Eve ate the fruit, the very first thing that happened was they realized they were naked. Then they became ashamed and hid themselves from the Lord.

And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked, and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons. . . . And Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord.
Genesis 3:7-8

Fear and shame are part of dying. If we are living in shame, if we have insecurities in our lives, if we are fearful--that's part of death. The problem is spiritual separation from God, and these things are just the result of that.

Here's what happened next (Genesis 3:9-11):

And the Lord called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

That brings me back to what the Lord woke me with, the same question He asked Adam in Genesis 3:11: "Who told you that you were naked?" Think about that for a moment. Who told you that you were naked? This isn't talking about not wearing clothes. But who told you to be afraid and ashamed? Who told you that you were without? Where did you get this knowledge?

There is no scriptural evidence that Satan told Adam and Eve that they were naked. And since God asked the question "Who told thee that thou wast naked?" (Gen. 3:11), He obviously hadn't told them either. So, how did they know they were naked? How did they know to hide from God? Adam and Eve had never experienced punishment before. There was nothing in their existence that had any rejection or shame associated with it. So, where did they get this knowledge from?
God's question to Adam and Eve in Genesis 3:11
gives us the answer:

Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

Emphasis added

When Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, they intuitively and automatically recognized their nakedness, their sin, and their failure. Immediately, fear and shame came upon them.

The name of this tree is descriptive of the conscience. The American Heritage Dictionary defines conscience as "an awareness of morality in regard to one's behavior; a sense of right and wrong that urges one to act morally." I believe that when Adam and Eve ate from this tree, they received their consciences, and so did the rest of mankind.

What is the fruit of having a conscience? The very first fruit can be found in Genesis 3:7:

And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Having a conscience made Adam and Eve self-conscious, and they began to focus their attention on themselves. They became self-aware, and shame came upon them. Before, they had no shame, but all of a sudden, their consciences brought shame and fear of punishment.

These are things God never wanted us to have. He never wanted us to be afraid. He didn't create us for rejection; He created us for fellowship. He didn't intend for us to have a conscience, but after Adam and Eve sinned, it became necessary. For someone who's lost, a conscience is necessary because it makes them aware of their sin and shows them their need for forgiveness.

The reason God gave us the Law was actually to activate our consciences. The Law wasn't given to set us free as some people think. Instead, it was given to condemn us, to bring us back to our need for God.

Since every person after Adam and Eve was born with a conscience, it's part of every person's life. Unfortunately, many believers don't understand how to deal with the conscience, and they allow their consciences to condemn them and keep them in a constant state of unworthiness, sin, and unforgiveness. But the good news is, we don't have to live like that. We can learn how to deal with our consciences and live free from condemnation.

I have so much more to say about this, but I've run completely out of room. My brand-new book, Who Told You That You Were Naked?, goes into more depth about the conscience and will teach you how to live free of sin-consciousness. It will also help assure your heart of God's love for you and of your right standing before Him. I'm really excited about it, and I encourage you to get a copy.

Amazing Grace is about Liberation!

** Amazing grace is about your liberation from sin and death! **

Date:   11/6/2018

Amen! The hymn " Amazing Grace " has been used for many different things over the years since John Neston pinned it in 1748. He lied a hard-headed life, son of a wealthy man, his mother raised him (an only child) on the Holy Scriptures until her death when he was an early teen.

He went thru many opportunities and even became a Slave in West Africa almost dying - he was "once an infidel and libertine, a servant of slaves in West Africa but the God intervened and he was rescued thru faith and while returning the ship he was on almost sank. It was in that setting he came back (repented} and upon the entire crew being saved off the coast of Ireland - began his

JOURNEY AS OUTLINED IN THE HYMN!

The hymn is not about slavery - rather it is about coming to the saving Grace of God after attempting to do things for yourself! He became a slave ship Captain until a time came before he prayed and became a minister of the Gospel of Christ. Writing over 200 hymns.

He later worked with Wm Wilberforce British PM - to help end the slave trade in England. His life was about getting out of the bonds of evil and slavery in life! Read his life I have! Amazing grace is about your liberation from sin and death!

Amazing Grace concerne la libération!

Amen!

JEAN 17:24

"Père, je veux que ceux que tu m'as donnés soient avec moi là où je suis; afin qu'ils voient la gloire que tu m'as donnée; car tu m'as aimé avant la fondation du monde." KJV

** Behold my Glory!

** Behold my Glory!
JOHN 17:24
"Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world." KJV
“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. NKJV
God the Father had the plan of salvation worked out before He even created the world. Most of us would not have created the world and man if we knew the heartache and terrible sacrifice it would cost. But God is not a man. In His judgment (which is the correct judgment) the prize was worth the cost.
We were chosen in Christ before the world began.
The Lord did not choose us by our merit, but solely by our acceptance of Christ which His foreknowledge allowed Him to do before the foundation of the world. In the strictest sense, we were not personally chosen, but Christ was chosen and all those who are "in Christ" partake of His being chosen by His Father. Just as we are the beneficiaries of the covenant between God the Father and His Son Jesus, so we are chosen because we chose God's chosen, i.e. Christ. The Father would no more reject us than He would reject Jesus because we are accepted by the Father through Christ.
None of us can claim that we are without blame in the sight of men because a mankind looks on the outward appearance (1 Sam. 16:7) and all of us have sinned (Rom. 3:23). But the Lord looks on our born-again spirit which has been regenerated in Christ and He sees us holy and without blame.
If you look at any color through a red glass, that color becomes red. The same thing would happen if you looked through a green glass. Everything would become green. In a similar way, God looks at us through Christ and everything in our life becomes covered by the blood of Jesus. We are holy and without blame before Him because of His love expressed through His Son.

Le principe KISS:

Le principe KISS:
À tous mes amis et ceux qui lisent ou suivent mes messages:Bien que je ne vous contacte pas souvent personnellement, sachez que je pense à vous. J'ai lu, écrit et posté sur la vérité ou certaines des altercations avec elle à cause de mon éducation. {Élevé à Dixie}

the KISS principle

To all my friends and those who read or follow my posts:
While I do not make often contact you personally - please know that I think about you. I read, write and post on the truth or some of the altercations with it because of my upbringing. {Raised in Dixie}

We were taught to respect others {it does not mean to surrender your values} and to make where ever you are a better place for having been there.
It seems that so much of the world has become self-centered and domineering.
As an avid reader {reading can aid you in finding the truth and lead to a better way of life} plus a student of history and of course the Bible my perspective is based upon " love your neighbor " principles. Having been an engineer, following logical and truthful ways -  my Modus Operandi has guided me well.

Therefore I have a low tolerance for flagrant misapplication and gross ignorance plus intolerance! I have always attempted to analyze, then apply a solution to most ration problems in life. The modern course of thinking seems to flow only in the way of popular and crass activities. But without reason or some compromise popular things tend to fail and lead many into falsehoods.

Much of the consternation I see in the world today is based upon mainly
 (3) three things:

1) Gross ignorance or the lack of properly applied facts. Knowledge does no good if you do not have all the real facts at your disposal.

2) Hasty generalization and being too quick to misjudge things.

3) The lack of good moral judgment and logical application leads to falsehoods and problems.

The last 100 years has led to many new things - yet most have been distorted and molded into money makers for the " Controllers."
This has worked well due to lack of proper knowledge and the prevalent operation
of Greed on the part of many in the leadership.

Complexity has been a prime distraction and failed the general public in the world! I try to follow the KISS principle which is:
Keep it simple stupid! Some have asked me if am calling them stupid

{All of us are actually stupid in many things} - to which I
reply "no I am stupid so I want it simple! " Keep it simple!

Complexity has caused many problems and covered up a great number of schemes for the Controllers of the world!

** Will write later check back as we look at the hectic life many live in the modern world!
Will post more on one or more of my blogs.

Our nature should always be in Hoiliness

Our nature should always be in Hoiliness

Matthew 24:13
"But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."

Here, Jesus teaches that the believer must persevere to receive complete salvation. Salvation is a gift that cannot be earned or maintained by our own works. It has to be received by faith. However, there is effort on our part to maintain that faith. This is where holiness comes in.

Holiness will not produce a relationship with God, nor will a lack of holiness make God turn away from us. He deals with us according to our faith in Jesus, not our performance. Holiness will keep Satan from stealing our faith, while a lack of holiness is an open invitation for the devil to do his worst. A person who wants to endure to the end should not live a lifestyle that permits Satan free access to him.

Although God is not imputing our sins unto us, we cannot afford the luxury of sin because it allows Satan to have access to us. When a Christian does sin, and allows the devil an opportunity to produce death in his life, the way to stop this is to confess the sin. God is faithful and just to take the forgiveness that is already present in our born-again spirit and release it in our flesh, thereby removing Satan and his strongholds.

Holiness is a fruit and not a root of salvation. That is to say that holiness is a by-product of relationship with God; it does not produce relationship with God. It is the nature of a Christian to walk in the light, not in the darkness.

When we are rightly informed as to who we are and what we have in Christ, then holiness will naturally flow out of us because it is our nature.
