Mnemonics
There are ways to increase your memory and remember or locate lost information in your mind!
How to use Effective Mnemonics
Mnemonics is the ability to recall different things from your memory alone! The more you put this method into practice the better your memory will be. As you start inventing mnemonics of your own, keep in mind three more principles: imagination, association plus location.Imagination: Is one of the most powerful drives in the human mind!
Learn how to create images that are vivid, engaging, and rich enough to jog your memory. You could be visualizing a real situation in order to remember and re-use it, or inventing one that will help you write, say or do something in the future. Either way, let your memory lead you to the areas which benefit your life!
Association: Is one of the basic memory elements which can be used to remember and make the most of your brain's habit of linking ideas. Separate pieces of information can be linked so that you remember them all. That might help you remember all the items to pack for a trip, for example. Or, two ideas can be paired, so that one thing reminds you of another. Using that strategy, you might think of your colleague holding a microphone to recall his name is Mike. Use whatever will clue you into remembering the key data in your life!
Location: Tends to steam the flow of information used in your memories of real-world places which can help you remember new material. Since you can easily remember the layout of your home, or maybe a vacation or hobby place. Using the different parts or places can be used to "hold" items from the list you're trying to learn? It is a rational way to sort your memory!
Remember without your good memory - you are just like a piece of driftwood washed up on the beach of life. So don't just drift though life!
