1. Sickness is the result of sin and Satan

1. Sickness comes from the original sin and Satan

If you believe your sickness comes from God, it will be very

difficult for you to receive healing

There was no sickness and disease in the Garden of Eden

Part of the curse of sin

Woman with a spirit of infirmity – Luke 13:10‐17

Luke 13:16 (KJV) –

“And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom

Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?”

Acts 10:38 –

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with

 power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressedof the devil; for God was with him.”

** Oppressed = under the domination or lordship

Acts 8:5‐8 (NKJV) –

“Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ  to them. And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by

Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed;

and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.

And there was great joy in that city.”

Acts 19:11‐12 –“Now God worked unusual miracles

 by the hands of Paul, so that even

handkerchiefs or aprons were brought

 from his body to the sick, and the diseases left

them and the evil spirits went out of them.”

 

2. Healing is the will of God for everyone

Exodus 15:26 (KJV) –“And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the 

LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases up

on thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the 

Lord that healed thee.”

Exodus 23:25 –

“And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.”

Leper cleansed – Mark 1:40‐45

(Matt. 8:1‐4 and Luke 5:12‐16)

Mark 1:41 –

“And Jesus moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean".

 

3. Healing is part of our redemption

Paralytic let down through the roof

– Luke 5:17‐26 (Matt. 9:1‐8 and Mark 2:1‐12)

Luke 5:24 –

“But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.”

1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV) –

“who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we,having died to sins might live for righteousness — by whose stripes you were healed.”

Psalm 103:2‐3 –

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all

His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities,

 Who heals all your diseases.”

 

4. Healing is received by faith

Blind men healed – Matthew 9:27‐31

Matthew 9:29 (NKJV) –

“Then he touched their eyes, saying,

 According to your faith be it unto you.”

The man let down through the roof – Luke 5:17‐26

(Matt. 9:1‐8 and Mark 2:1‐12)

Luke 5:20 –

“And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, your sins are forgiven you."

Centurion’s servant – Matthew 8:5‐13 (Luke 7:1‐10) 

Matthew 8:8 –

“The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.”

Romans 4:16 (NKJV) –

“Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace,

so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all.”

Mark 9:23 –

“Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible

 to him who believes.’”

Jairus’s daughter and the woman with the issue of blood – 

Mark 5:21‐43 (Matt. 9:18‐26 and Luke 8:40‐56) Mark 5:34 (KJV) –

 “And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.”

 

Mark 5:36 –

“As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto

the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.”

Mark 4 – the sower sows the Word

Psalm 107:20 (NKJV) –

“He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.”
