Walmart pledges half of their profits to Trumps 2020 Relection!

Walmart USA and its founders, the Walton family, have taken a cue from Home Depot and will do their part to ensure the continued presidency of Donald Jebidiah Trump. In an explosive announcement today, Walmart CEO, Jim Walton, pledged half of the company’s profits to the President’s re-election. More specifically, he said, they will donate “half the company’s service profits from a sixty-fourth of one quarter of a sixteenth of quarter two’s first ninety-sixth period of fiscal 2019″……..to the Trump 2020 campaign.

This is extraordinary. For a company as humongous as Walmart to pledge 50% of profit of any kind is unheard in this country. But then, we now have an extraordinary leader who is worthy of extraordinary efforts from the extraordinary elites of the country who we adore and admire as our betters, sometimes – when we’re smart – electing them to the highest office in the land.

This may perhaps merely be a case of one billionaire “one-upping” another as this announcement came so soon after a similar one from one of the Home Depot founders yesterday.
Maybe it’s ego that drove the Waltons to make this pledge, maybe it’s nothing more than pure, unadulterated patriotism. Whatever the case, their donations, along with those of any other billionaires who see an opportunity to have their taxation rate eliminated, will be much appreciated by Republicans nationwide.

Love And Trust

Love And Trust

Matthew 9:18, 'While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.'

MATTHEW 9:18-19

Jesus could have healed this girl by His spoken word, but He did as He was requested to do. This illustrates how the Lord ministers to us according to our faith. Jesus ministered to the ruler at the level where his faith was and didn't rebuke his little faith (Jas. 1:5).
There is a human faith which is limited to believing only what we can perceive through our five senses. But the supernatural, God kind of faith goes beyond what we can see, taste, hear, smell, and feel. God's kind of faith calls those things which be not as though they already were.

We exercise faith almost daily in such things as sitting on a chair and driving a car. But our faith is no better than the object in which it is placed. If I were to sit in a chair made of cardboard, I would go crashing to the ground. Regardless of how much faith I had, my faith would fall flat because the object of my faith was faulty. Hebrews 12:2, tells us that we are to be 'looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.'
We must transfer our faith from human self-reliance and independence, to reliance upon, adherence to, and trust upon Jesus Christ in all areas of our lives. Faith, in its simplest definition, is to trust, to rely, and to depend upon the resource of another. God's Word declares that the object of our faith, Jesus Christ, can never fail or disappoint us.

Love produces faith, or is what makes faith work. We naturally trust those who we know truly love us. A revelation of God's unconditional love for us will make faith just naturally abound in us. Are you struggling with faith? You have a deficiency in understanding how much God loves you.
Let Him reveal His love to you today.

Pays for single dad and children!

Woman Pays for Single Dad’s Groceries, Has No Idea She’ll Meet Him in Her Church Pew 3 Months Later

sungle dad

“$94.10
That’s how much the cash register showed at 10:00 pm that night at the grocery store.
I watched as the man in front of me asked the cashier to put things to the side. Over and over again.
He kept swiping his card. Declined.
He was already buying the bare minimum.
There was a girl and boy with him, and I heard them call him “Dad” several times.
The girl was a pre-teen, and the boy was about my son’s age. I could see the embarrassment written all over their faces.
It was a week or two after Thanksgiving, and I wondered what they had eaten for the holiday so focused on food.
The cashier put cans of tuna, boxes of pasta, bananas, and apples under the counter.
I wondered if he was a single dad. The lack of a ring on his finger gave me suspect to believe so.
Then suddenly, I felt it.
It was like a gentle shove on the back and a mild electric shock to my heart.
Pay for these groceries.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t have the money…I’ll provide. Trust Me.
I heard God loud and clear.
I started to open my mouth…but what if I embarrass his family even more?
That still small voice called again.
Another shove. Stronger this time.
“I’ve got it,” I blurted out loudly, as heat flooded my face.
The store was empty, there was no one else in our line, and I watched this man slowly turn, his jaw dropped open.
I turned to the cashier.
“Please put everything back. I’ll get it all.”
“Are you sure?” the cashier said, with shock in her voice.
I nodded while looking at the girl and the boy. Their eyes were like saucers.
“Yes, absolutely. I can go ahead and swipe my card.”
I look at the dad. He’s crying now.
His daughter is hugging him.
Then I pay for my things as well. Praying God would cover it (He did).
The dad is waiting at the end of the lane. Still crying and hugging his precious children.
“I don’t know how to thank you,” he whispers.
“It’s okay. I wanted to help. I know it’s what God told me to do. And I have been there.” I replied quietly.
“I’m a single dad. It’s so hard,” he said.
I gave him a hug. His son and daughter wanted to hug me too.
When I got to my car, the tears came flooding out.
I prayed and praised the Lord for allowing me to help. I asked God to give me more opportunities to be obedient and show the world the utter grace He has shown me.
Flash forward to February 23rd.
My family and I are sitting in church, and we had just finished the worship time when our Pastor was getting ready to preach.
I look to my left, and my stomach literally plummets to the ground. Then my heart begins to race.
At the end of our pew, sat the same Dad and his 2 children.
They were right there, the only other people in our row.
In slow motion, I turn to my husband.
“That’s them,” I say into his ear. “That’s the Dad and his kids from the grocery store that night, remember?”
I begin to sob. My skin is covered in goosebumps.
I never told him I was a Christian. I never even told him where I went to church.
I just obeyed God.
The same One who brought this dad and his family to my church that Sunday.
It’s not about me.
Glory to the Lord God Almighty, for the great things HE has done.

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” ~ Matthew 25:37-40″

Redeemed

Deuteronony

12  If any of your people—Hebrew men or women—sell themselves to you and serve you six years, in the seventh year you must let them go free.
13  And when you release them, do not send them away empty-handed.
14 Supply them liberally from your flock, your threshing floor and your winepress. Give to them as the Lord your God has blessed you.

*** 15 Remember that you were slaves in Egypt {sinners in the world}  and the Lord your God redeemed you. That is why I give you this command today.

16 But if your servant says to you, “I do not want to leave you,” because he loves you and your family and is well off with you,
17 then take an awl and push it through his earlobe into the door, and he will become your servant for life. Do the same for your female servant.

18 Do not consider it a hardship to set your servant free, because their service to you these six years has been worth twice as much as that of a hired hand. And the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do.

We were redeemed

Worship Is Warfare

April 19

Mark 5:6, 'But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him.'

MATTHEW 8:28-34; MARK 5:1-17; LUKE 8:27-39

The word 'worshipped' is taken from the Greek word 'proskuneo' which means 'to prostrate oneself in homage to; do reverence to; adore.' The fact that this tormented man ran to Jesus, and not away from Him, indicates that even 'demon-possessed' people have a free will and Satan cannot control an individual without his consent.

Many battles have been fought over whether or not a Christian can be demon possessed.
The Greek word for 'possessed' literally means 'to be demonized.' The Bible makes no clear distinction between degrees of demon activity (such as oppressed, depressed, possessed, etc.), but simply refers to people as being 'demonized.'
All Christians are fighting against spiritual powers. If we don't put on the whole armor of God, Satan can certainly affect us or even control us.

The best way to administer deliverance is through God's Word. As a person receives the Word, it will set him free and also help guard against this situation when the demon tries to come back in with seven other spirits. In severe cases of being demonized, the individual clearly needs the help of a believer, and that's the reason why Jesus equipped all believers with authority over evil spirits.

Anointed praise and worship will also drive off evil spirits. One thing reserved for God alone is worship, and the devil has always sought that. If he can't be the one to receive worship, then he seeks to turn others away from giving true worship to the most High God. Praise and worship to the Lord is such a powerful tool against Satan. He can't stand to see God worshipped. Worship God today in spirit and in truth. The Father seeks those who will worship Him this way.

He's waiting for you.

He gave control of the earth to man.

Servant Power

Mark 4:41, 'And they feared exceedingly and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?'

MARK 4:35-41

When God created this physical world and all of its inhabitants, He gave mankind authority to rule and subdue His creation. Although God still owned the universe and all that was in it, He gave control of the earth to man.

When man sinned, he began to use this power against God's wishes. God did not ordain all the terrible things that have happened throughout history, and yet He did not take back man's right to dominate the earth. Instead, He became a man and took back that authority to Himself by conquest. After Jesus' resurrection, He said in Matthew 28:18, '...All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth,' and then He gave the great commission to His disciples, thereby conferring that authority upon them, also. Jesus becoming flesh was absolutely essential for gaining all power (or authority) in heaven and in earth. Jesus was a 'God-man.' As stated in 1 Timothy 3:16, He was God manifested in the flesh, which is a great mystery.

Jesus came in the power and authority of His Father to point men to the Father God. Jesus existed before His advent on this earth in the form of God and was equal with God; yet, He humbled Himself and became a servant while here on earth. He did not come to promote Himself but to give Himself as the way unto the Father.

This is radically different from the way so called 'great men' present themselves. The Roman Caesar of Jesus' day proclaimed that he was God and demanded worship. Lesser leaders ruled by exalting themselves over the people they governed. But, Jesus showed us that 'whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; and whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many' (Mt. 20:26-28).

Peace In The Midst Of The Storm

** Having been on several ships in storms - I can relate to this situation!
 It was Bad!

Peace In The Midst Of The Storm

Mark 4:37-38, 'And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master carest thou not that we perish?'

MATTHEW 12:46-50; 8:23-27; MARK 3:31-35; 4:35-41; LUKE 8:19-26

Considering the fact that the boat was filled with water, it is amazing that the disciples had to awaken Jesus. This was not a large ship with cabins below deck but rather a small, open boat and Jesus was, no doubt, 'soaked to the bone.'

This reflects Jesus' humanity and how tired He must have been. It also shows that Jesus must have been in a very deep sleep. Medical science has discovered that the deeper we sleep, the more rest our bodies get. This is a clue as to how Jesus could maintain the grueling pace He kept, along only with an occasional all-night prayer time. He was receiving the maximum benefit from His sleep.

Jesus did not say 'Let us go out into the midst of the sea and drown in a storm.' He was going to the other side. This shows that the disciples still didn't understand Jesus' authority. They were committed to Him as their Messiah, but they hadn't yet realized that Jesus was Lord even over the physical elements.

Many Christians still do this today. They receive the spiritual benefits of salvation but have not reaped the physical benefits of health and prosperity, which are also part of our salvation.

Whichever we focus upon - the storm, or the Lord in the midst of our storm - will determine how we manage the storms we face in life. He is not asleep concerning the things you face in this life, He's right there in your 'ship,' resting, because He knows you'll both get to the 'other side.' His peace is yours.

Believe His Word. Rest in His love.

Critical Thinking Outlines Part 2
Ex·tem·po·ra·ne·ous

Management of your life:

Back when in college, I took public speaking and debate classes, where periodicity we had to go into the campus, TV studio and give speeches! I remember that often we would be called upon to give a 15-minute extemporaneous speech while being televised to evaluate and review! This method helps broaden your outlook and social awareness!

It was an excellent way to sharpen your presentations! It also gave better continuity and broadened your delivery! Such presentations sharpen your focus and delivery of information in your life! From which I learned how to use this type of thinking to apply in many lifelong ideas and techniques.
I have become skilled at giving unrehearsed speeches or presentations! which helped improve my life! as an accomplished extemporaneous speaker.

Learn how to improvise your life so that you can think more effectively and become a better speaker as well as having a better grip on your life in general! It helped to become a more balanced speaker and be able to get my point across!

I see this as an important step to help so many lost souls who tend to wander and limp thru life! This is a missing part of many people's lives by not adapting to problems. Many of the younger generations seem to need this approach to become more spontaneous and direct in their life!

Learning how to adjust and fit into the new scenarios in your life, will allow you to be more responsive! Thus being able to see and to address problems or other facets which come into your existence!

It is about the management of your life! When are you going to start?

Most Dangerous Apps That Parents Need to Know

Most Dangerous Apps That Parents Need to Know
Jaime Jo Wright

Did you know that one of the kid’s most popular apps gives complete strangers access to chat with them online?

Were you aware that another often used app introduces your child to soft porn?
And what if someone told you that “kid” profiles on streaming media apps are only as kid-proof as your child’s ignorance?

One might not consider the dangers of such apps like Fortnite, Snapchat, and Netflix, but beware, they are worth considering. At the time this article is written, there are 78.3 million Fornite users, 186 million Snapchat users, and 151 million Netflix subscribers.

The odds your children will remain unaffected by these and other apps, are highly unlikely.
It’s not a new conversation, this “be careful what your kids download” subject. But often, parents request a list of the most dangerous apps so they can easily safeguard their child.
Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as a Top 10, and even the “safe” apps can become dangerous. So as parents, we need to be vigilant. As someone who has worked in the wireless industry for seventeen years, I recommend three important parental filters:
1. Know your child--do they communicate openly with you, or are they private?

2.You own the phone (or tablet)--just because it’s “theirs” doesn’t mean it’s off-limits. Have you set the expectation that you can look through their phone any time?
3. Just because it’s “Kid Safe”, doesn’t mean it is--have you researched the app?
Your electronic devices can be fabulous additions to your family’s options for entertainment and education. But a major error many parents make is trusting someone else—namely the app developer—to rate the potential harm for your child.
But, as a mom, not just someone who works in the industry, I’ve found that some of the safer apps are also important to not disregard.

It’s time to learn about some potential dangers lurking in your child’s bedroom that would rival any boogeyman.

1. Roblox

They define their app as: Roblox is a global platform where millions of people gather together every day to imagine, create, and share experiences with each other in immersive, user-generated 3D worlds.
If you’re still unclear, picture going online and creating your own social environment. A school, a theme park, a neighborhood. In this environment, your made-up persona can be anything from a super-hero to a skateboarder. You can find a gazillion pros for this online imaginary play-place.
It’s remarkably popular with kids. In August of 2019, Roblox boasted over 1,000,000 users monthly.
So what are some of its dangers?
  • Open environments to join--this means your child can tour imaginary worlds and be introduced to different users. Many of these users are complete strangers to your child.
  • Real-time chatting--while exploring these worlds, characters can initiate chats. While many of these conversations can be innocent enough, reports online vary from bullying, to propositioning, to harassment. And, don’t underestimate the not as shocking but regular exposure to language, bad attitudes, disrespect, and other more standard dangers we tend to overlook.
  • Strangers as friends--one surf through my seven-year-old son’s messages and I found several friend requests from complete strangers. Granted, he has been too “scared” to accept them, but they’re there. Whether the requestors are authentically 7-13 year old, or a 51 year old man/woman creeping on my kid, I’ll never know.
Should you remove the app from your child’s phone? Well, Roblox does offer privacy settings. This is helpful, but also not fool-proof.
For one, I can’t—at least to my knowledge—control these from my phone, and my son showed me how he knows to go into settings and reverse any controls I’ve already pre-set.
So, is your kid trustworthy enough to not do that? Does your kid have a healthy fear of strangers? Is your kid willing to ignore chats and conversations between characters? That is something only you can answer as a parent.

2. Snapchat

They define their app as: Snapchat lets you easily talk with friends, view Live Stories from around the world, and explore news in Discover. Life's more fun when you live in the moment!
Basically put, imagine snapping a photo, sending it to your mom to view, she looks at it, and after a short period of time, it disappears into cyberspace never to be seen again.
Fun? Yes. My sister-in-law and I Snapchat regularly. Silly pictures from what our morning coffee mug looks like, to pictures of our feet in fuzzy socks. Snapchat can be a super fun app and it’s no wonder it’s popular with kids who are visually stimulated.
So what are some of the dangers?
  • It’s easy to sext. What’s that? Well, it has the word “sex” in it, so it can run the gamut from partial nudity to imagery of the actual act. As a parent, it’s super hard to monitor. There are some apps that claim to help you do so, but I’ve not tried them, and one wonders if they truly do give you full monitoring power.
  • It’s easy to hide. If your child has—once again—friended or followed someone on Snapchat they don’t know—or do know—it’s super easy to hide their conversations from you, because they simply disappear. There’s no history to go back and read in Snapchat. So, if someone is sending your kids nudes, or pictures holding a poster board with the word “Die” on it, odds are, you’ll never know.
My kids won’t have Snapchat for a long time. It’s not worth it. And I haven’t even mentioned the “Newsfeed” which is public news filled with soft porn, profanities, and other such fun stuff.

Critical Thinking Outlines Part 1 of 1000
crit·i·cal think·ing - (noun:)
critical thinking = the objective analysis and evaluation of an issue in order to form a judgment.
"professors often find it difficult to encourage critical thinking amongst their students"

Date:   4/13/2020
With many years of multiple troubleshooting and hands-on experiences - I have found the following system to help resolve and/or get a quicker solution!

Before anyone can progress or positively and truthfully exist very long in this life they must develop a system of Critical Thinking! If they want to become their own person by making great rational and positive truthful questions! The basic and most important element of critical thinking is the ability to evaluate an argument.

The skills that we need in order to be able to think critically are varied and include observation, analysis, interpretation, reflection, evaluation, inference, explanation, problem-solving, and decision making {not in that order}.

Start by asking Basic Questions:
It's tempting to imagine that good critical thinkers ask erudite, convoluted questions when they're trying to solve a problem.

Being Aware Of Your Mental Process.
Adjusting Your Perspective.
Thinking In Reverse.
Developing Foresight.
Learning to think outside the box.

7 Fast and Effective Critical Thinking Strategies

Critical thinking is thinking about purpose. It's clear, rational, logical, and independent thinking. It means thinking in a self-regulated and self-corrective manner. How can we make this happen quickly with our students? Our Critical Thinking Companion will always get you on the right track. In the meantime, here are some other things you must have in your critical thinking repertoire.

1. Use the Right Tools

Using technology with students is always a great and engaging idea. That said, it can also be a learning curve. We sometimes assume our digital kids know everything about every app or tool. Not so, unfortunately.

You’ll need to factor in the time to learn how to use a tool or app if needed. Some tools require more skill and experience than others. The added time spent learning to use them could be better spent on a different task. The trick here is to pinpoint in advance which tools you want students to use.

You can spend a lesson or two on how to use the tech tools properly early in the year. That way they can get working on their own quickly. You can also poll the class or have an open discussion. Which tools are they already most familiar with? Which ones are they most excited about learning with? Choose the right tool and have a plan instead. This can minimize setbacks on the road to success.

2. Give Them Some Slack

When students approach learning proactively, they have a real stake in the outcome. We encourage proactivity by building skills through scaffolding. As students acquire skills, they become confident and move toward independence. We want to avoid fostering “learned helplessness.” Vary tasks and allow them to make some choices. Be realistic for yourself as a teacher, though, is what you are willing to allow.

Be a guide down their own chosen path to a specific goal. Flipping your class is a great avenue for fostering ownership of learning. Once you get your lecture online, it’s up to them to access the content. They have to solve such issues as, “When can I access the video? How am I going to do it?”

As you flip your class, you can guide students to go beyond the provided lecture. Encourage them to look up other viewpoints, even opposing ones. Help them understand all positions and their validity.

3. Involve Them in Reverse Engineering

We often call this working backward from the end. Sometimes you can get the job done faster by starting at the end and working back to the start. “How did they do that?” is a great way to start a conversation rolling on a particular problem.

In a subject such as music, this could be in the form of transcribing a jazz solo or pop melody. You really put thinking skills like active listening, evaluating, and revising into practice.

4. Teach Students How to Prioritize

Prioritizing tasks is an essential element of productivity. The path to success is often hampered by prioritizing the wrong task. Teach students how to take the time to plan. Even if it takes a long time, it will save them tons of work in the long run.

Sometimes a task takes a very short time. Often deciding which task to do and what tool to use may take longer. This is perfectly normal, and it's okay. As we've said in the past, Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance.

Set personal goals. By starting with the end in mind, students can identify what tasks need to be accomplished. They can determine what skills are needed to be proficient in order to get to a goal.

5. Switch Their Perspective

Get students to take on the role of an opposing viewpoint, even one against their own. Stepping into another’s shoes lets them think critically about a situation. This opens new ways of thinking and generates solutions previously unconsidered.

Encourage them to think differently. Read books like Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States or Freakonomics as a starting point.

6. Let Students Collaborate

Inquiry-based learning is another awesome way to foster critical thinking skills. When students are deep into discussion or debate, creative tension is happening. This is a state in which disagreement or opposition gives rise to fresh ideas and viewpoints.

Allow it to some extent before going in to moderate. As always, don’t readily give up the answers. Use leading questions to help guide them. Inquiry-based learning incorporates so many critical thinking skills at once, which makes it a top tool in any teacher's book.

7. Take Breaks

In using critical thinking strategies, this is very important. Our brain is an organ that does everything, so we must care for it. Play, sit in silence, take a walk, or have some water. Eat brain-healthy foods and read challenging literature.

There are even apps you can download that develop brain health with fun and challenging puzzles. Our favorites are Luminosity, A Clockwork Brain, and Peak.

** This last part taking breaks has worked out well in my troubleshooting skills - since due to the complex and often tedious nature of the work - time can not allow a perfect solution with every job.

Therefore after spending a great deal of time and efforts on a grueling problem - often taking a break can and has allow one to reconsider the problem and arrive at a solid solution in short order! Rather than wasting many long hours when taking the break can lead to a quicker solution!
