Praise and glory

We need to always be greatful and worship the Lord God from whom all Blessing flow:
Read and heed the admonishment of King David below-

Psalm 145:1-21 (KJV)
1
I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
2  Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
3  Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.
4  One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.
5  I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.
6  And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.
7  They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.
8  The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
9  The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
10  All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.
11  They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;
12  To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
13  Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.
14  The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.
15  The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.
16  Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
17  The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
18  The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
19  He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
20  The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.
21  My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.

What is the " Good News " ?

The word 'Gospel', in the Greek (the original language of the New Testament ) means 'Good News'.
The apostle Paul wrote much concerning the Gospel.

Romans 1:15-17
15 “That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are in Rome.
16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is THE POWER OF GOD FOR SALVATION to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then to the Greek.
17 For the gospel reveals the righteousness of God that comes by faith from start to finish, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”…

(In the Greek, the word translated ‘power’ comes from an English transliterated, root word,’ dunamis’, from which we get the word ‘dynamite’. From that implication we can see the significance of the Gospel’s ‘change effects’ in one’s life.)

Paul defines the 'Gospel' for us in I Corinthians 15:1-4:
"By this Gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you.... For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ DIED for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was BURIED, that He was RAISED on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:2-4).

Skip down to I Corinthians 15:12 – 19. Here we see just how totally important the Gospel, i.e. Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection, is to our eternal souls:
12 “Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised;
14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain.
15 Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised.
 16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised;
17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.
18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
19 If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied.”

In essence the apostle Paul said that if Jesus has not risen from the dead, everything taught in the name of Jesus is worthless, our faith is void, and we are still in our sins.
That’s how significant it is that Jesus, the Son of God, came from heaven to earth, lived and died a sinless man, that we can be given His holiness as He took on our sins and took our punishment, on the cross…..and then arose victorious over death in the likeness of which we will one day be raised up if we are children of God with God’s Holy Spirit living in us. (Romans 8:11)

Jesus said to her, "I am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?" (John 11:25-26).

Question: Do we believe?

If someone is sitting inside their home and hears the warning ‘FIRE!’ , ‘FIRE’, and takes no action, it would seem obvious that they ‘heard’ but did not believe. On the other hand, the person who hears and then grabs their children, pets etc. and gets outside the structure, clearly heard and believed. The point being that genuine faith (beyond 'mental ascent') acts upon the truth that's been received. The book of James teaches considerably about proving ones faith in action.

I do not think that it is without significance that the scriptures make a point, in Acts 2, of distinguishing those who ‘gladly received the word and were baptized, 3000’, and those who did not take action.

In light of Paul’s definition of the ‘Gospel’, I Corinthians 15:1-4……Question - How can the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus (the Gospel according to Paul) be Good News?

Simply put, without Jesus' death on the cross, AND His resurrection that proved He was no ordinary man but rather that He had the power over death,(the Son of God), we could not be saved from our sins.

Scriptures teach that Jesus took our sins on Himself and that He suffered the punishment that we deserve so that we do not have to perish.

I Peter 2:24
"...and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed."
In rising from the dead Jesus proved His power over sin and physical death...Satan's two claims to the lives and souls of mankind.

I Corinthians 15:56-57
"The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; 57 but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

Hebrews 2:14
"Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death--that is, the devil--"

1 John 5:4
"...for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith."

II Corinthians 5:21
"He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."

Romans 3:25
"God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood--to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished--"

Romans 4:25
"He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification."
Note that repentance precedes baptism, just as faith precedes repentance and baptism. John the Baptizer was a prophet who prepared people to accept Jesus.
He did this by "preaching a baptism of repentance FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS." (Mark 1:4). "Repentance" refers to the decision to change, to stop living in sin and start following Christ. Baptism marks that change with this purpose: "for the forgiveness of sins."

When the repentant believer is immersed into Christ for the remission of sins, they arise from the waters free of the ball and chain of sin and with the gift of God's Holy Spirit.

THAT's why the Ethiopian went on his way 'rejoicing'!
And we can too!
THAT is Good News!   Amen!

Are you Baptised?

God's spiritual family begins at 'birth' similar to our human families. I'd like to share some Biblical accounts of conversion from the book of Acts.

First, let’s go to the words of Jesus, prior to Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection, as He responded to a Pharisee named Nicodemus, seeking salvation, John chapter 3.
"Jesus answered, 'I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit'" (John 3:5-6).
Practicing the baptism ‘unto remission of sins’, (both Jesus and John the Baptism, prior to Jesus death, burial and resurrection), notice that the scriptures point out that there was a reason for the place John was baptizing:

John 3:22-23
“After this, Jesus and His disciples went into the Judean countryside, where He spent some time with them and baptized. 23 Now John was also baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because THE WATER WAS PLENTIFUL THERE and people kept coming to be baptized.”
Jesus Himself was baptized by going ‘into’ and coming ‘up out of’ water.
This describes immersion baptism as opposed to modes many religious groups practice such as sprinkling, pouring, etc.

Matthew 3:13-17
“Then Jesus arrived from Galilee at the Jordan coming to John, to be baptized by him. 14 But John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I have need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?” 15 But Jesus answering said to him, “Permit it at this time; for in this way it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he permitted Him. 16 After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him, 17 and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.”
Likewise was the Ethiopian Nobleman:

Acts 8:36-39
“As they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch said, “Look! Water! What prevents me from being baptized?” 37 [And Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”] 38 And he ordered the chariot to stop; and they both went down into the water, Philip as well as the eunuch, and he baptized him. 39 When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away; and the eunuch no longer saw him, but went on his way rejoicing.”
Here I think we can see the manner in which baptism was practiced in accordance with the Greek meaning of ‘baptizo’ i.e. to dip, plunge, immerse.

"He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior" (Titus 3:5-6).

“Arise, Be baptized, and wash away your sins.” These words were spoken to Paul, while he was yet in his sins, after he had seen the Lord on the road to Damascus and after he had fasted for three days but prior to being immersed for the remission of sins. (Acts 22:16)

Here I want to pause and absorb the import of this verse. Paul, who confessed ‘Lord, Lord’, having seen the amazing light, mid-day, and fasting for 3 days, is told by God’s messenger, Ananias, that he is yet in his sins and he needs to do something purposeful in that regard. Let’s read the words of Ananias once more:

“Arise, Be baptized, and wash away your sins.”
Paul, who was originally called Saul, was a prominent leader in the Jewish nation. For many years he did not believe in Jesus. He thought Christians were violating the Law of Moses and he did everything within his power to stamp out believers in Jesus.
“As for Saul, he made havoc of the church (‘EKKLESIA’ better translated ‘called out, congregation, assembly) entering every house, and dragging off men and women, committing them to prison”  (Acts 8:3).

But something amazing happened that turned Saul’s life around.
“Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. And as he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?’ And he said, ‘WHO ARE YOU LORD?’ And the Lord said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’

So he, trembling and astonished, said, ‘LORD WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?’ And the Lord said to him, ‘Arise and go into the city, and YOU WILL BE TOLD WHAT YOU MUST DO.’ And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no one. Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened he saw no one. But they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank” (Acts 9:1-9).

Many years later, Paul recounted what happened next:
“Then one, Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good testimony with all the Jews who dwelt there, came to me; and he stood and said to me, ‘Brother Saul, receive your sight.’ And at that same hour I looked up at him. Then he said, ‘The God of our fathers has chosen you that you should know His will, and see the Just One, and hear the voice of His mouth. For you will be His witness to all men of what you have seen and heard. And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord’” (Acts 22:12-16).

Let us examine this last verse: “And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord” (Acts 22:16).
Ananias first asked Paul: “Why are you waiting?”
Saul / Paul had seen the Lord and acknowledged Him as such. He had fasted. He believed in Jesus and realized that he had been terribly wrong. It was time for action.
Years later, Paul wrote to the Corinthians, “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).

Many people who believe in Christ and are sorry for their sins, put off being baptized, even though they know it is a command of the Lord. Many religious people do not ‘see’ baptism as a part of belief.

In the book of Acts, which contains many examples of conversion, people were baptized immediately, as soon as they believed in Jesus. They did this because the apostles taught that baptism is for the forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38) and necessary to become a child of God, a part of the spiritual body of Christ:
“For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body” (1 Corinthians 12:13).

If one believes that Jesus is the Son of God and desire Jesus’ Lordship to be saved from sin, in the words of Ananias, “Why wait? Arise and be baptized!”
The word “baptize” is a transliteration of the Greek word “BAPTIDZO” which means to dip, plunge or immerse. Bible baptism is an immersion in water. It would appear that men have been bold to change the scriptural method of baptism. But this is not all that the apostle Paul teaches concerning baptism as we’ll note later.

Notice also that it says: “Arise.” A valid baptism must result from a personal decision to repent of sin and follow Jesus. Peter told the crowd in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost: “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38).

Repentance means to turn away from sin and dedicate your life to God. A young child has no such mental ability as to believe with a commitment or repent. I would contend that they are innocent of sin by commission and have not transgressed God’s teachings.
Well-meaning parents have their babies “christened,” but this long standing tradition is not found in the teachings of the New Testament (or Old for that matter).

When one turns away from sin and dedicates their life to God, that is personal. No one can do that for another.
The Ethiopian Nobleman, after hearing the gospel, asked Philip: “‘See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?’
Then Philip said, ‘If you believe with all your heart, you may.’
And he (Ethiopian) answered and said, ‘I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.’ So he (Philip)commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him” (Acts 8:36-38).

One is ready for baptism if they believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God and if they are willing to turn their life from sin, to Christ, the incarnate son of God.
“For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation” (Romans 10:10).

The glorious conclusion of the Ethiopian Nobleman’s conversion is expressed in Acts 9:39:
“38 And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him. 39 When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing.

If you like, we can go further and follow Paul as he taught the believers at Rome concerning baptism. Interestingly, Paul compared baptism (Romans 6:1-6, 17) to Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection, i.e. a reference that re-enacts Jesus’ own death, burial and resurrection, as we studied in I Cor. 15:1-4.

Romans 6:1-23
1. “What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase?
2 May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
3 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been BAPTIZED INTO HIS DEATH?
4 Therefore WE HAVE BEEN BURIED WITH HIM through baptism INTO DEATH, so that AS CHRIST WAS RAISED from the dead through the glory of the Father, SO WE TOO MIGHT WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE.
5  For IF WE HAVE BECOME UNITED WITH HIM IN THE LIKENESS OF HIS DEATH, certainly WE SHALL ALSO BE IN THE LIKENESS OF HIS RESURRECTION, 6 KNOWING THIS, THAT OUR OLD MAN WAS CRUCIFIED, WITH HIM, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin;
7 for he who has died is freed from sin.
8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,
9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him.
10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts,
13 and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
14 For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!
16 Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that though YOU WERE SLAVES OF SIN, you became OBEDIENT FROM THE HEART TO THAT FORM OF TEACHING to which you were committed, 18 and HAVING BEEN FREED FROM SIN, you became slaves of righteousness.
19 I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification.
20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.

21 Therefore what benefit were you then deriving from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the outcome of those things is death.
22 But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life.
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. “

NOTE: Rom. 6:17) What form of doctrine had the Christians at Rome obeyed?
A form is a likeness. Baptism is a likeness to Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection.
A dressmaker might compare baptism to following a ‘pattern’ of Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection to change from the ‘old man of sin’ to the ‘new spirit man’ of God.
I think that makes baptism enormously important to the believer.
The blood of Christ is the propitiation for our sins (Romans 3:25).
Spiritually, baptism is the method of God’s choosing to access Jesus’ atoning blood. By the efficacy of His sacrifice, our sins are washed away at baptism. The substance, water, has no magic power to wash away sins.
“There is also an antitype which now saves us, namely baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ”  (1 Peter 3:21).

The power is from God. We call on the Lord for salvation by being baptized “in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19). “In the name of” means “by the authority of.”
“For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life” (Titus 3:3-7).

God calls to add sons and daughters to His family.
Galatians 3:25-29  25 “But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. 26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.”

I hope these scriptures are helpful to this study concerning baptism (and that they are not ‘too much’). Many of our friends and family members question baptism, its purpose, who is an appropriate candidate to be baptized, and the scriptural manner by which one must be baptized.
The Bible is abundant in examples of baptism. These are but a few.

God bless you for the excellent contributions you’ve made to this study.

saving faith is never alone; it must be acted upon.

WATER BAPTISM IS A SIGN
-   December 25
Mark 16:16
"He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned."

Water baptism is a command of Jesus and is the initial action taken upon believing. Mark's statement could be rendered, "He who believes with saving faith (i.e. faith that produces actions) will be saved."
In this sense, water baptism is very important. It is an opportunity to act on your new profession of faith. Anyone who refuses to follow Jesus' command to receive water baptism, may be suspected of not really believing.
However, there are scriptural examples of people being born again before they were baptized in water. Cornelius and his friends were filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues before they were baptized in water (Acts 10:44-48). John 14:17 records Jesus saying that an unbeliever cannot receive the Holy Ghost, so Cornelius and his friends must have been born again before their water baptism.

Water baptism is the sign of the new covenant in the same way that circumcision was the sign of the old covenant. The apostle Paul made it clear in Romans 4, that although Abraham was circumcised, his circumcision was only a sign. Abraham was justified in the sight of God before his circumcision. Paul goes on to state in Galatians 5:1-6, that anyone who trusts in circumcision has fallen from grace; Christ will profit him nothing.

It is faith in the redemptive work of Christ that produces salvation - not our actions. However, James writes that faith without works is dead (Jas. 2:20).

Faith alone saves, but saving faith is never alone; it must be acted upon.
This is what Mark is referring to when he speaks of baptism.

Some stuff you may not realize...

  Shutterstock 521541862Hi there, Kermit!
The time sure has flown this year hasn’t it?
Is it really Christmas time already… wow!
Well, it’s at this time of the year, I think we all take stock of the year we’ve had before we start looking forward to the new year ahead.
This Christmas, I just wanted to take some time to look back at some of the topics we’ve covered this year, and go back over some of the things we’ve learned together.
So, here is my top 5…
Shutterstock 2597427235. Sleeping and Smart Phones
Researchers found that screen time with your phone is really no different from watching TV right before getting some shut-eye.
The most interesting part about this study was that it didn’t really matter when participants got their screen time in.
The study did not just look at how long before bedtime people used their phone.
The results revealed two very interesting conclusions.
The first result was that “Longer average screen-times during bedtime and the sleeping period were associated with poor sleep quality, decreased sleep efficiency, and longer sleep onset latency.”
Which pretty much confirms our previous beliefs about looking at a screen before bed – whether TV, computer, or phone.
However, perhaps more surprisingly, the second result indicated, “Longer average screen-time was associated with shorter sleep duration and worse sleep-efficiency.”
So, not only does screen-time during your nighttime routine affect your sleep patterns, your average screen-time in general does.
Soreknee4. Shoes Don’t Really Help Knee Pain
An expert survey on shoes claiming to help people who suffer from knee pain, all you may have bought was a sales pitch.
Researchers for the Institute of Aging research concluded that the so-called latest and greatest shoe boasting such knee pain erasing claims, Asics’ "Gel Melbourne OA," was really no better than any other standard walking shoe is for knee pain.
The bottom line is that the only way to diminish knee pain is through diet and low-impact exercise.
You see, no matter what shoe you have on, a new pair of shoes doesn’t fix years of wear and tear.
Shutterstock 1079703863. Dormant Butt Syndrome?
Dr. Chris Kolber, a physical therapist at the Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center, coined a term for a condition that affects a broad range of people from elite athletes to complete couch potatoes. That term being “dormant butt syndrome.”
While it is unlikely that this term will remain its title as medical communities begin to take it more seriously in the coming years, dormant butt syndrome is characterized by “the gluteus Maximus or the glute muscles just not functioning as efficiently as they should.” This condition is often caused as much by daily inactivity as it is by sleeping in a fetal position at night.
According to Dr. Kolber’s research, our posteriors do most of the work in holding up the weight of our body. Therefore, a weak rear end puts even more strain on the joints in the lower half of your body. Without a boost from the bottom, the hips, knees, and ankles can all suffer. And, because everything is connected in the body’s design, the pain that starts at the ankle can lead to a pain in the back, and that can all be a real pain in the… well, you know.
2. Avoid the ElevatorShutterstock 145794110
The first step you take towards improving the health of your body and mind may be a step up.
The April 2016 edition of Neurobiology of Aging featured the results of a study from researchers at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, who compared the brain volume of adults between the ages of 19 and 79. The study shows that there are significant differences in brain deterioration between those who did and those who did and who did not do one simple activity that we could all be doing more of…
Take the stairs.
Those who climbed the stairs showed the less brain deterioration and had brains that appeared physically younger in MRI images as opposed to those who did not, meaning that an activity as simple as taking the stairs, instead of taking the elevator at work, out shopping, or going to a doctor’s appointment, can have major positive effects on your brain’s age and activity, not to mention on your overall health.
Shutterstock 1133352131. Happiness is the Key to Better Memory
Researchers at the Institute of Biomedical Research of Bellvitge and The University of Barcelona discovered that the way we feel about a particular experience greatly impacts how and even if we remember what happened.
There’s a tendency for us to assume that the very worst things that happen to us are the things that we will remember the most, but this research group actually found the complete opposite.
As it turns out, when we are able to associate positive emotions with an experience, those are the experiences we will remember the best.
The reason for this is because positive emotions act as a kind of reward for our brains, and when an experience is linked to a reward, we will remember both the reward and the experience associated with that reward.
Think about the best thing that ever happened to you. Whatever it is, I’m sure that you remember more than just the event. You probably recall the people you were around, the smell of the place you were, the taste of the air, and the feel of the wind.
Think about it another way: even when we have negative emotions associated with an experience, we will definitely remember that experience, but it is more likely that we will remember it because of the positive steps we took to overcome the bad thing that happened.
It seems, then, that making a conscious effort to associate positive thoughts with all we do is the best step we can take toward improving our memories. So this Christmas, let’s make some positive memories.
Thanks for sharing 2016 with us!
We look forward to sharing more with you in the following year. We also hope that we have shown you to some great life-enriching formulas and supplements at our Primal Labs™ Store – we have heard from so many of you about how beneficial they have been for getting your health back on track.

WE ARE ONLY COMPLETE IN CHRIST

WE ARE ONLY COMPLETE IN CHRIST
-   24th Dec

John 20:31
"But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name."
Recognition of our completeness in Christ is a tremendous safeguard against deception. Prior to salvation we are incomplete and constantly strive to satisfy our hunger. But through the new birth, we are complete in Christ and our hunger should only be for more revelation of what we already have in Christ. Total satisfaction with Christ disarms Satan's lies. A big part of all temptation is dissatisfaction.

Adam and Eve would not have eaten of the forbidden fruit if they hadn't been made dissatisfied with what they had. Through Satan's lie they were led to believe that they didn't have it all (Gen. 3:5).
The truth is, they did have it all. They were more like God before they ate of the fruit than after they ate the fruit. Their dissatisfaction was a preliminary step to their action of sin.

Satan tempts us in the same way he came against Adam and Eve (2 Cor. 11:3).

Therefore, a full revelation of our completeness in Christ will keep us from chasing after all the things the devil has to offer.
If anyone tells you that Christ isn't enough; that you need something more, then that's the devil trying to turn you away from your completeness in Christ.

In the same way that Jesus has the fullness of God in Him, we have the fullness of Christ in us. That makes us complete or perfect in Him - that is our spiritual man.

Our born-again spirit is identical in righteousness, authority, and power to Christ's spirit because our born-again spirit is the Spirit of Christ (Rom. 8:9) which has been sent into our hearts crying "Abba Father" (Gal. 4:6).

Le but principal est de nous protéger. Il avait mis en mouvement les formes de vie spirituelle dont nous faisons partie dans cette grande Éternité! Ses plans étaient que nous venons posses un corps physique et cherchons Sa Face afin que nous puissions apprendre à jouir et à venir adorer son plan magnanime du ciel éternel ... {C'est comme toujours!}
Il a spécifiquement produit quelque chose en nous afin que nous voulions être réunis avec Lui! C'est exactement pourquoi les gens sont poussés à chercher la religion dans leur vie ... Les gens veulent être avec Dieu Tout-Puissant!{Ceci est comme un phare qui nous rappelle à Lui!}

The plans of God!

Many of us go thru this earthly existence and never learn Almighty God's plans for us...  This is such a shame and the waste of an eternal spirit winch each of us was destined to spend it in Heaven with God Almighty!

First what do the plans of God have for us?

The main purpose is to protect us.   He had set into motion the spirit life forms of which we are part in this great Eternity!  His plans were that we come posses a physical body and seek His Face so that we could learn to enjoy and come to worship His magnanimous scheme of Eternal Heaven...    {That is like forever!}

He specifically produced something in us so that we would want to be reunited with Him! this is exactly why people are driven to seek religion in their lives...  People want to be with Almighty God!
{This is like a homing beacon calling us back to Him!}

This is exactly where most all the religions go and get it wrong!   They think they know the way back to God and attempt to misdirect people!
It become a make me (the religious leaders) great and popular and rich!   Sad but using God's plan to misdirect people is a gross sin...

The key lies in the built in desire to seek God!  Each of us has this printed upon our soul so that we will attempt to find God in our life!

Remember we are all Spirit, Soul, and Body!
