Meet the Comforter.

Dear Friend,


I want to share something that I'm really excited about, and that's the present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit. This is the root of everything good that God has done in my life.


Sadly, the teaching of the Holy Spirit's ministry has largely been neglected in the body of Christ. In fact, many believe that miracles and the Holy Spirit's gifts aren't for us today. But rejecting this truth will really limit what God can do in your life.

If I had not had an experience with the Lord and the baptism of the Holy Spirit in 1968, you would never have heard from me. So, I challenge you to hear what I'm teaching and examine it.


The first thing I want to point out is that the Holy Spirit is a person. He's not a force or a concept. He's a person. As part of the Godhead, He's so important that Jesus Himself did not enter public ministry until He had received the Holy Spirit.


The Bible says that Jesus went to John to be baptized:


And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: [17] And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.


Matthew 3:16-17


Jesus would not operate independently of the Holy Spirit. If Jesus, the sinless Son of God, needed to be anointed by the Holy Spirit before He could begin His ministry, why do we think we could somehow function without this same empowerment?


Jesus thought so highly of the Holy Spirit's ministry that He taught extensively about Him on the night before His own death (John 14-16).
Jesus told His disciples that He was going to His Father and that they wouldn't see Him anymore. But He told them it's "expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you" (John 16:7).


Now, just stop and think about this. Jesus had been with these disciples for three-and-a-half years. He performed countless miracles and taught about the Father like nobody ever had before, and then He was just going to leave.
Yet He's telling them that it's to their advantage. That's a radical statement.


If I asked "Would you like to see Jesus in His physical body standing right here with you and ministering to you, or do you want the Holy Spirit?"

I bet that 99.9 percent of Christians today would answer that they'd rather have Jesus in His physical body. One reason for this is that the Holy Spirit has been misrepresented.

Many Christians believe that the Holy Spirit is the one who makes them feel condemned and guilt-ridden. Yet Jesus called the Holy Spirit the Comforter (John 14:16, 26; 15:26; and 16:7).


In addition to comforting believers, He also empowers us. Some people have taught that He empowers us to just be good.

But by teaching this, they are relegating the Holy Spirit to a bar of soap--He cleans you up, and that's it. They think of the miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit as something that happened 2,000 years ago. They don't accept, receive, or pursue this ministry of the Holy Spirit today.


Remember, Jesus was empowered by the Holy Spirit before He did one miracle. Hebrews 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ [is] the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever" (brackets mine). Jesus is God.
The Godhead is one. So, the Holy Spirit is the same today as He ever was. I'm telling you that if Jesus needed the Holy Spirit back then, then we surely need Him now!


Let's look at the account of the Holy Spirit coming to reside on the earth. Right before Jesus was caught up into heaven, He told His disciples to "wait for the promise of the Father" (Acts 1:4).

Then said, "Ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you" (Acts 1:8). They had the greatest message that could ever be told, yet He told them not to go anywhere until they received the Holy Spirit--until they received power.


If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit and His own disciples needed the Holy Spirit, then wouldn't it make sense that we need Him too?

During the days of the early church, God confirmed the apostles' teaching with signs and wonders, the gifts of the Holy Spirit. His desire hasn't changed. The Lord doesn't want us witnessing out of our own strength either. Even today, the Word of God should be preached in power and demonstration of the Holy Spirit and not with words only (1 Cor. 2:4).

Ils n'acceptent ni ne reçoivent ni ne poursuivent ce ministère du Saint-Esprit aujourd'hui.
Rappelez-vous, Jésus a été habilité par le Saint-Esprit avant qu'il ait fait un miracle.
 
Hébreux 13: 8 dit: "Jésus-Christ est le même hier, et aujourd'hui et pour toujours" (parenthèses les miennes). Jésus est Dieu. La Divinité est une. Donc, le Saint-Esprit est le même aujourd'hui qu'il l'a été. Je vous dis que si Jésus avait besoin du Saint-Esprit à l'époque, alors nous l'avons besoin aujourd'hui!
Regardons le récit du Saint-Esprit qui viendra résider sur la terre. Juste avant que Jésus ne soit pris au ciel, il a dit à ses disciples "d'attendre la promesse du Père" (Actes 1: 4).

On pense généralement qu'un évangéliste est quelqu'un qui a la passion de conduire les gens au Seigneur.Mais chaque croyant devrait avoir une telle passion pour les âmes.Lors de la présentation de l'Evangile, nous ne présentons pas seulement une théorie sur Dieu, mais le récit factuel des relations de Dieu avec l'homme révélées par sa Parole, avec le témoignage ultime de la résurrection corporelle de Jésus. Notre témoin personnel de la réalité de Jésus vivant dans notre vie amène le Christ de la théorie à la réalité.

Les premiers chrétiens avaient connu l'amour du Christ d'une manière intime et transformatrice de la vie. Cela les a motivés à atteindre leur monde connu avec l'Évangile du Christ plus qu'aucune génération de chrétiens n'a fait depuis. L'église aujourd'hui a besoin d'un renouveau de notre relation personnelle avec le Seigneur.
Quand on peut dire avec Paul que l'amour du Christ nous contraint, alors nous aurons un impact sur notre monde pour le Seigneur aussi. Vous ne pouvez pas donner ce que vous ne possédez pas. Nous devons connaître personnellement l'amour du Christ d'une manière expérientielle avant d'essayer de le partager avec les autres.

Quand allons-nous sortir et prendre ce grand message évangélique à ceux que Dieu a mis sur notre voie de vie?

Où est Dieu?

En fait, il est là et partout. Cela signifie que tout ce dont nous avons besoin est de l'atteindre et de le toucher - par la prière. La prière est simple comme un jeune garçon qui dit "Dieu, c'est Jimmy!"
Il n'y a pas de message spécial que votre cœur a senti le désir de communiquer avec Dieu Tout-Puissant.

Comme il est toujours disponible, il devient préférable de communiquer avec lui dans la pensée et la prière. Sans effort, la communication est morte. Il veut que chacun de nous le cherche.

Nous perdons beaucoup de notre temps sur des choses insensées qui ne feront pas un réel bien et qui sont souvent une insulte à Dieu.

Les premiers chrétiens avaient un impact beaucoup plus grand sur leur monde parce qu'ils étaient pleins et motivés par l'amour de Dieu.

L'église aujourd'hui a besoin d'un renouveau de notre relation personnelle avec le Seigneur.
Quand on peut dire avec Paul que l'amour du Christ nous contraint, alors nous aurons un impact sur notre monde pour le Seigneur aussi. Vous ne pouvez pas donner ce que vous ne possédez pas. Nous devons connaître personnellement l'amour du Christ d'une manière expérientielle avant d'essayer de le partager avec les autres.


 
Expérimenter l'amour du Christ nous fait remplir la plénitude de Dieu

17 afin que Christ demeure dans vos cœurs par la foi. Et je vous prie, enraciné et établi dans l'amour, 18 peut avoir le pouvoir, avec tous les saints gens du Seigneur, de saisir combien large et long et haut et profond est l'amour du Christ 19 et de connaître cet amour qui dépasse La connaissance, afin que vous soyez remplis à la mesure de toute la plénitude de Dieu.

 
Et nous fait témoigner que le monde ne peut pas résister

We need a revival of our personal ship with God


Luke 10:2 - "Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest."

It is commonly thought that an evangelist is someone who has a passion to lead people to the Lord. But every believer should have a passion for souls. When presenting the Gospel, we are not just presenting a theory about God but the factual account of God's dealings with man as revealed through His Word, with the ultimate witness being the bodily resurrection of Jesus. Our personal witness of the reality of Jesus being alive in our lives brings Christ from theory to reality.

The early Christians had experienced the love of Christ in an intimate and life-transforming way. This motivated them to reach their known world with the Gospel of Christ more than any generation of Christians has done since. They didn't have the benefits of our modern technology, but they did have the benefit of being full of the love of Christ.
Experiencing the love of Christ causes us to be filled with the fullness of God (Eph. 3:19) and makes us a witness that the world cannot resist (John 13:35).

Today, much of the emphasis of the church is placed on techniques of evangelism or spiritual warfare. We motivate people to witness through feelings of guilt or punishment if they don't. Much of our evangelism has become as dead and non-productive as that of the cults who knock on doors and argue people into their way of thinking.

The early Christians had a much greater impact on their world because they were full of, and motivated by, the love of God.

The church today needs a revival of our personal relationship with the Lord.
When we can say with Paul that the love of Christ constrains us, then we will impact our world for the Lord too. You can't give away what you don't possess. We need to personally know the love of Christ in an experiential way before we try to share it with others.

When are we going to step out and take this great Gospel message to those God has placed upon our pathway  of life?            
  Go what are you waiting for?

Now is the appointed time and hour


Where is God?

Actually He is here and everywhere.  This means that all we need do is to reach out and touch Him - through prayer.  Prayer is a simple as a young boy saying " God this is Jimmy! "
There is no special message just your heart felt desire to communicate with Almighty God.

Since he is always available it becomes it is your choice to commune with Him in both thought and prayer. Without your effort the communication is dead.  He wants each of us to seek Him.

We all waste much of our time on foolish things which will do no real good and are often an insult to God.
