What really counts ??

Mark 4:2, "And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,"

 

MARK 4:1-12

The Greek word used here for "doctrine" means "teaching" and occurs a total of 30 times in the New Testament.
 The four gospels refer to Jesus teaching 43 times and preaching 19 times, and six verses refer to Him preaching and teaching in the same verse. This would indicate that Jesus spent twice as much time teaching as He did preaching. Jesus' teaching is the basic building block of making disciples and a stumbling block to the religious.

Why is it that a person who is seeking so hard to please God can be rejected, while a person who has not sought God at all can come into a righteous relationship with Him?
This is an important question and its answer is one of the most profound doctrines in scripture. The answer is faith and its object.
The Jews were zealous for the things of God, but their faith was in themselves. They were trusting that they could earn God's favor by their acts of righteousness. On the other hand, the Gentiles had no holiness to trust in. So, when they heard the Gospel message that Jesus paid our debt for us, they readily accepted His "gift" of salvation, while the religious Jews could not abandon their trust in themselves and their works for salvation.

The same problem exists today.   Millions of church people are trying to live holy lives, but they do not have a true faith in Jesus as their Savior. If they were to stand before God and He was to ask them what they had done to deserve salvation, they would immediately start recounting all their acts of holiness such as church attendance, giving receipts, etc.
Regardless of how good our actions are compared to others, they will always come up short of the perfect standard of God.

The only response to this kind of question that would grant us entrance to heaven is to say, "my only claim to salvation is faith in Jesus as my Savior." Let Him be the object of your faith today. 

He is all you need.

Fastidious Stewardship?

Jesus taught more about this subject than any other, so it's obvious that the stewardship of money is very important to God.

In this life, we need to become more involved in certain points which will shape our future!

 

***  Fastidious:  This word represents both good and bad depending upon how it is personally used...

1. excessively particular, critical, or demanding; hard to please:a fastidious eater.

2. requiring or characterized by excessive care or delicacy; painstaking, goal orientated or driven. 

One area where we should become better balanced is in our stewardship responsibility's - 

here is where we could become fastidious in our care to manage and share our resources!

STEWARDSHIP 

{a study on understanding how Stewardship should work in our lives.}

Biblical stewardship involves delegated responsibility to manage for another (e.g., Luke 16:1, 12). 

Stewardship in the OT specifically indicates management of someone’s household (Isaiah 22:15), i.e., through a “house steward” (Genesis 43:19; 44:4). In NT usage stewardship may involve

 (1) oversight of employees through a “foreman” (Matthew 20:8; cf. Luke 12:42);

 (2) care for another person, especially as a guardian over a child (Galatians 4:2);

 (3) management of a superior’s possessions (Luke 12:42-44; 16:1-8); or

 (4) Christian responsibility to faithfully fulfill one’s God-given ministry, particularly in proclaiming the gospel of Christ (1 Corinthians 9:17; Ephesians 3:2; Colossians 1:25; cf. Colossians 4:17).

The broader doctrine of stewardship indicates Christian responsibility to faithfully use personal gifts (natural and spiritual), time, and possessions as divine entrustments to serve God and man.
This is where our time and efforts should be in these 3 areas of Stewardship! 

 Christian stewardship properly recognizes that all human abilities and possessions, including the earth and its contents, are on consignment to man from God (1 Chronicles 29:12; John 3:27; James 1:17; cf. Genesis 1:26-28; Psalms 8:3-8).

Thus the use of such divine endowments should

(1) accord with individual ability (Matthew 25:15);

(2) express richness toward God (cf. Luke 12:21);

(3) involve an efficient use of time and opportunity (Ephesians 5:16; Colossians 4:5);

(4) accord with personal prosperity (1 Corinthians 16:2);

(5) result from individual intent of heart (2 Corinthians 9:7); and

 (6) express glory and faith toward God (1 Corinthians 10:31; 1 Timothy 6:17).

Romans 8:28 is the favorite verse of millions around the world.
It’s arguably the greatest promise in the Bible, for it summarizes all the others.
It’s the biblical basis for optimism and the promise that morphs us into resilient sanguines, whatever our temperament. It’s God’s darkroom in which negatives become positive. It’s His situation-reversal machine in which heartaches are changed into hallelujahs. It is the foundation of hope and a fountainhead of confidence.
 Even our failures can become enriching, and our sins can be redeemed.
 Even death itself becomes a blessing for the child of God.

Romans 8:28 is all inclusive, all powerful, and always available. It is as omnipotent as the God who signed and sealed it. It’s as loving as the Savior who died to unleash it. It can do anything God can do. It can touch any hurt and redeem any problem. It isn’t a mere platitude but a divine promise. It isn’t a goal but a guarantee. It isn’t wishful thinking but a shaft of almighty providence that lands squarely on our pathway each day and every moment.

The Lord moves heaven and earth to keep this promise. He puts His eye to the microscope of providential oversight and scans the smallest details of our lives, working them into a tapestry of blessing, making sure goodness and mercy follow us all our days.

In memorizing this verse, remember that the first part is the promise; the last half is the condition. The first part tells us what God will do in working all things for our good.
The last part gives us our responsibility—to love Him and be true to His purposes in our lives.
 Memorize Romans 8:28, and you need never despair again!

God created the heavens and the earth and everything that is in the earth by His words (Heb. 11:3). The whole creation was made by, and responds to, words.
 Our words, when spoken in faith, release either life or death (Prov. 18:21) and will affect people, things, and circumstances. We can release the power that is in faith by our words.

Every word counts. There is no such things as an "idle" word which will not work for us or against us. Our words can be our most powerful weapon against the devil, or they can become a snare of the devil (Prov. 6:2).
Faith-filled words can move mountains.

The faith that made Jesus marvel was a faith in the authority of the spoken word (Mt. 8:8, 10).
 We are to believe in the power of our words. If we begin to speak words in faith that line up with God's Word, then we will have the positive results that follow. But if we continue to speak words of doubt, we will eventually believe them and have the negative things that these words produce. Death or life are in the power of every word we speak.

Faith is released by speaking words. Jesus encouraged us to speak to mountains or to whatever our problem might be. Most people speak to God about their problem, but few follow Jesus' instructions and speak directly to the "mountain." God has put certain things under our authority and we must exercise it. When a problem stands in our way, we must speak to the problem and command it to get out of our way in the name of Jesus. Speak God's Word today.

You recently called upon your Senate colleagues to subject Judge Neil Gorsuch's record to "extreme vetting," questioning both his qualification and biography. The Senate certainly has the right and obligation to closely review any nominee for the United States Supreme Court. Conversely, it is our right as Americans and veterans to scrutinize your hypocrisy in doing so.
We are veterans of the Vietnam War. We fought alongside our brothers in arms, many of whom died or were gravely injured there. We saw the treatment meted out on us and our fellow military personnel upon our return, yet we never questioned our commitment to our nation's freedom. But perhaps more relevant to this discussion is that we know you were not there with us.

The fact you repeatedly and consistently claimed to have served in Vietnam is a gross case of stolen valor in our opinion. You obtained at least five military deferments between 1965 and 1970, at least two of which were seemingly political favors to you so that you could avoid joining us in a war zone. Here are just a few examples where it appears that you have chosen to buttress your political resume by shamefully inflating your record of military service:

• In 2003, you apparently stated, "When we returned [from Vietnam], we saw nothing like this [a public outpouring of support for deployed military personnel]."
• In 2008, the New York Times reported you said, "We have learned something important since the days I served in Vietnam ..."
• At a Vietnam War memorial in 2008, it is reported you stated, "I served during the Vietnam era ... I remember the taunts, the insults, sometimes even the physical abuse."

We recognize that military service of any kind is valuable to the protection of our nation's freedom. There is no shame in engaging in "Toys for Tots" campaigns, recycling efforts, or assisting in the improvement or construction of various facilities, which appears to be a fair description of the bulk of your duties during the Vietnam War.
What is offensive to those who fought in a most brutal conflict, some of us who were captured and tortured by our enemy, is any comparison of those most brutal experiences to the ones of people like you who never even sniffed the air in Vietnam.
You should be proud that you shared a uniform with so many brave souls who endured the hardships of war, but instead you chose to attempt to deceitfully and craftily join their ranks with your intentionally vague statements and false claims. Quite simply, it is impossible to "misspeak" about having seen a war.
Valor is too uncommon a commodity, and too precious a virtue, to be stolen by those who have not paid the high price for freedom. We recognize that some concerns over any appointee, especially the Supreme Court, are honest and legitimate.

How To Maintain Healthy Relationships

By now we all know the pillars of good health: get plenty of rest and drink plenty of clean water. Make sure your diet consists mostly of organic fruits and vegetables and eliminate all refined sugars and processed foods. Don’t forget to exercise and never under any circumstances smoke. Oh, and drink alcohol only in moderation.
Did I forget anything?

As a matter of fact, I did leave off one very important aspect of our overall well-being and that’s having a quality social life consisting of healthy relationships. The importance of surrounding yourself with people whose company you enjoy isn’t just some hippie, woo-woo theory, it is now backed by scientific studies of hundreds of thousands of people.

Researchers at Harvard studied the same 600+ people for 75 years and learned a lot about what determines a long and happy life. These studies are some of the longest-running regarding a person’s overall health and happiness.

It turns out much of what determines that is the quality of relationships in your life. People with good relationships simply live longer.
If you’d like to live the longest and happiest life, then you need to have good platonic and romantic relationships. Here are some ways you can maintain a healthy relationship:

Make the Relationship a Priority

When we’re young, it’s easy to spend time with our friends. We see them on the bus, at school, and on the football field. As we age, it becomes harder and harder to spend quality time with friends. Adult responsibilities seem to take all of our time and attention.

Since you don’t have infinite hours in a day, you will need to prioritize your relationships. Who is an acquaintance and who is a true friend? Once you’ve prioritized, be sure to make time each week or month to enjoy your friend or significant other’s company. Show them how much they mean to you.

Always Be Honest

Many of us are surrounded by phony facades instead of genuine friendships. We have 300 Facebook friends, but how many real-life friends that we let know the real us? Relationships built on dishonesty fizzle over time. That’s why it’s always important to be honest.

This means being honest about who you are, what you stand for, what you require in a friendship. The more honest you are with others, the more they feel they can be honest with you. This provides you with valuable feedback about yourself, your behavior and choices. A real friend tells it like it is. “Maybe you’re just feeling jealous because she got the promotion and you didn’t” … “Are you sure you want to order that? You’re trying to lose weight for the reunion.”

Watch What You Say

When you know someone well, it’s easy to point out their strengths as well as their flaws. In the moment, you know just what to say to cheer them up. But you also know how to push their buttons and tear them down.

None of us are perfect and it’s easy when we’re in a bad mood, or when our friend or partner has ticked us off a little to say something that we can’t take back. We must always find that balance between honesty and hurtfulness. When you feel yourself get angry, take a breath, and try to find something different, better, less harmful to say.

Accept the Other Person’s Humanity

While healthy relationships are important and do contribute to our health and well-being, another person can’t complete you. Forget the myths Hollywood puts out. People are human and flawed and no one can fulfill all of your needs or meet every single one of your expectations.
Everyone has a different way of expressing their feelings. Everyone shows love and kindness differently. A healthy relationship is accepting your loved ones as they are.
[NOTE: no one is suggesting you stay in a toxic relationship, be it platonic or romantic. There is a difference between someone constantly disrespecting you and making you feel worthless through verbal or physical abuse, and someone who always gets your birthday wrong.]

When you go out to dinner with a friend or partner, are you both sitting there starring at your phones or actually engaging with one another?

Let Go of Stress so You Can Open Up More

You know the old saying, in order to receive something great you’ve got to let go of the bad stuff. So many of us are walking around the world holding on to stress. And who can blame us, really? The modern world is a stressful place.
But when we’re consumed with our stress, we are unable to focus on anything but the mounting bills or the fact we keep getting passed over for that promotion. When we let go of our stress, we can allow ourselves to focus on the other person and enjoy their company fully.

David's Sling, Long-Range Anti-Missile Defense, Goes Live

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday morning told the weekly Cabinet meeting that the David’s Sling missile defense interceptor would become operational later in the day.

“This afternoon, the David’s Sling missile defense interceptor will become operational,” Netanyahu said. “This is important news; all of Israel’s citizens experienced the important achievement of the Iron Dome system against short range missiles in the last Gaza campaign.”

David’s Sling, formerly known as Magic Wand, is an IDF system being jointly developed by the Israeli defense contractor Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and the American defense contractor Raytheon, designed to intercept enemy planes, drones, tactical ballistic missiles, medium- to long-range rockets and cruise missiles, fired at ranges from 25 to 185 miles.

David’s Sling is meant to bolster the second tier of Israel’s theater missile defense system. The two-stage radar and electro-optic guided system’s range is three times that of Iron Dome.

“We have an absolute obligation to the security of Israel’s citizens,” the PM noted, adding that “in the context of this obligation, we are working systematically to strengthen the offensive capability of the State of Israel against its enemies. We are also working, to the same degree, to strengthen our defensive capability against our enemies.”

“Of course, we also developed the Arrow system against strategic long-range missiles, as well as other systems,” Netanyahu said. “David’s Sling acts in the intermediate range and is of great importance to Israel’s security. I would like to commend the people at the Defense Ministry, the IDF, the R&D people and everyone who worked to make this system operational. We are defending the home front.”

Why do so many people feel that everything in their life is lost?

 Traveling on my pathway of life; I have come to realize many things...   
Some are just part of our everyday personal existence while others are part of the great Eternity to come!  what we all need to know and unitize is the difference between the things of the here and now and those of eternal existence... 
 This is not meant to be a rambling on of your present conditions; rather it is a wake up call to your eternal life!!

 Many people in conflict today commonly have false beliefs about themselves.   They do not know or realize their worth or personal identity! 
  Which is one of the great lies of the Deceiver, Satan!  Discouragement is one of the key tools of the Demonic presents on the world today...

 This is true for most of the world.  Even those who have accepted some religious beliefs or teachings.  Many feel unloved, rejected and generally worthless! 

  Great numbers of people tend to feel that they will have a mental breakdown and are filled with anxiety. They have tried many things to improve their self-image, but with out any success! 

 Here is where we will look at some ways to help you find an answer!
 Even those people who have made a personal confession to accept GOD into their life,  find many road blocks...  
It comes down to the fact; that it is necessary to discern wither the problems encountered are physical or spiritual in nature! 
 Most of the issues are looked at as if they are physical by most of the modern medical field.  Yet many conflicts in people's lives are not physical and when treated as such this only drives them into further depression and grief! 
 Usually the physical treatments  do not really relieve or overcome any of the  depression type problems, very quickly...  
This is where spiritual intervention is needed!

 Thus it is very important to discern the root cause of the conflicts.
  Yet even when people come to realize that the conflict or obstruction is spiritual they do not know how to resolve the issues... 
 Outside counseling is needed in most cases...

Hier, un jeune homme (13 ans) dans notre quartier a arrêté notre façon de discuter de notre chien arrière-cour et a continué à parler de la pression qu'il a dans le système scolaire public qui est principalement noir. Il ne veut pas suivre les manies, "mais la" culture des gangs "est en pleine force et les cogne à n'importe qui ose ne pas s'aligner sur le programme ... Pourtant, cela semble être la norme dans la plupart des systèmes scolaires Les États-Unis, en particulier ceux qui ont une population noire ou latine prédominante (et maintenant le nouveau garçon sur le bloc - islamique).
** Lorsque vous êtes forcé de faire quelque chose, cela ne profitera jamais vraiment au but ou au but de votre vie!- Un Kermit-ism----------------
Il a détruit son vélo - a été attaqué et abattu par le Fad cult Gang, plusieurs fois.
La plupart d'entre eux parce que cette culture est conduite par le "Continuez avec les Jones" ou vous devez le faire; Dont la plupart sont basésSur un système de modestes et d'appels de masse pour suivre de nombreux types de divertissement noirs ou sportifs, à propos des sports ...

Principalement, ces groupes opèrent en dehors de la norme de la société et ne font rien d'autre que d'élever le mal et le crime aux plus jeunes qui s'attaquent à ce système ...Fads corral les gens à suivre certains ne prédominent pas produire des moyens et ont tendance à conduire à une vie de non-travail, de crime et de désespoir pour les membres.

 J'ai conseillé à ce jeune homme d'éviter les manies et de rester hors des gangs ... Il a recommandé qu'il cherche la Vérité et trouve les bonnes normes morales dans la Bible (la source de toute la Vérité) une Église chrétienne ...

Évitez les tendances du monde - Parce que seuls les imbéciles suivent les manies ....

Si l'on accepte la Vérité de Dieu, alors apprend à contrôler leur esprit (l'âme), ils peuvent survenir dans la vie par quelque chose d'adversité - par la foi en suivant les normes morales du Christ telles que vues dans la Bible ...

43 Permettez-moi de vous dire ce qui arrivera à cette génération méchante: quand un esprit maléfique sortira d'un homme, il se répand dans les déserts et d'autres endroits secs à la recherche d'un endroit où se reposer, mais il ne trouve nulle part où se reposer.44 Donc, l'esprit dit: "Je reviendrai dans la maison que j'ai laissée". Et il revient pour trouver cette maison inoccupée, ordonnée, balayée et étincelante.45 Eh bien, non seulement un esprit se met en place dans cette maison pétillante, mais il apporte sept esprits encore plus méchants. Et le pauvre homme, la maison, est pire qu'il ne l'était auparavant. Cette génération du mal subira un sort semblable.

Notre esprit est certainement une partie de  Notre esprit est certainement une partie de notre cœur, mais comme on l'a vu (1 Pierre 3: 4),
 C'est seulement une partie. Le péché, l'iniquité, l'incrédulité, etc., viennent du cœur mais pas de l'esprit né. (Hébreux 4:12) 
suggère que l'esprit et l'âme font partie du cœur; Par conséquent, les Écritures nous exhortent à croire avec tout notre cœur (Actes 8:37), 
ont le célibat du cœur (Col. 3:22),
 et dites-nous que nos cœurs peuvent avoir deux esprits ou des moyens de penser (Jas 4: 8 ).

 Même les chrétiens luttent encore avec des choses comme l'orgueil et la folie que Jésus a dit sortir de notre cœur. Il est certain que notre esprit nés de nouveau n'est pas la source de ces péchés. Le cœur englobe plus que notre esprit.
Le mot anglais «âme» vient du mot grec «psuche», traduit par «cœur, vie, esprit et âme». L'esprit est le principe et la tête de l'âme, suivie de la volonté et des émotions. Nous pourrions également décrire l'âme comme étant la partie cachée de tous les êtres existants ou ce que la plupart des gens appelleront la personnalité.

 L'âme est le centre des sentiments, des émotions, des appétits et des désirs, ainsi que la perception sensorielle et la conscience. L'âme peut également parler de la totalité d'une personne - son être total ou soi-même, une personne et l'homme caché ou l'homme intérieur. L'âme et le corps ne se naissent plus. C'est l'esprit de l'homme qui devient totalement nouveau au salut.
Par conséquent, bien que chaque croyant reçoive la même renaissance spirituelle miraculeuse, les résultats visibles de ce changement intérieur varieront d'une personne à l'autre selon combien il renouvelle son esprit. Le terme «coeur» peut inclure tout l'homme intérieur - l'esprit, l'âme, ou toute partie de celui-ci. La paix de Dieu gardera votre coeur en repos en Jésus-Christ.

Only fools follow fads... 

Yesterday a young person (13 years old) in our neighborhood stopped by our drive way discussing our back yard dog and went on talking about the pressure he has in the public school system which is mainly Black.  He does not want to follow fads;" but the ' gang culture " is in full force and lashes it at anyone dares to not fall in line with the program...    Yet this seems to be the norm in most of the schools systems in the U.S. especially those with a predominate black or Latino (and now the new boy on the block - Islamic) population.

He had his bike destroyed - been attacked and bulled by the Gang leaders..  
 Most all because this culture is driven by the " Keep up with the Jones " most of which is based 
upon system of fads and mass appeal to follow many so called mainly sports or borderline Black entertainment types..  i.e.  Fad fever...

Mainly these groups operate outside the society norm and do nothing except bring up evil and crime to the mainly youth who fall pry to this system...   Fads corral people to follow some predominate  none produce ways and tend to lead to a life of non work, crime and desperation for it members..

I advised this young man to avoid fads and stay out of Gangs...  Recommended that he seek the Truth and find good moral standards in the Bible (the source of Truth)  a Christian Church... 

 Avoid the world fads - Because only fools follow fads....


If one accepts the Truth of God, then learns how to control their mind (Soul)  they can over come any adversity thing in life -  through Faith by following the moral standards of Christ as seen in the Bible... 

 Seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness - then other things will be given to you!   Matt 6:33 

Matthew 12:35, "A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things."

MATTHEW 12:32-45

^31-32 It is one thing for you to speak ill of the Son of Man. People will be forgiven for every sin they commit and blasphemy they utter. But those who call the work of God the work of Satan utterly remove themselves from God, and those who blaspheme God’s Spirit will not be forgiven, neither in this world nor in the world to come.

³³ Good trees produce good fruits; bad trees produce bad fruits. You can always tell a tree by its fruits. ³⁴ You children of snakes, you who are evil—how could you possibly say anything good? Scribes and Pharisees: ³⁸ Teacher, we want to see some miraculous sign from You.

Jesus: ³⁹ You wicked and promiscuous generation—you are looking for signs, are you? The only sign you will be given is the sign of the prophet Jonah. ⁴⁰ Jonah spent three days and three nights in the belly of a great fish, as the Son of Man will spend three days and three nights in the belly of the earth. ⁴¹ One day, the people of Nineveh will rise up in judgment and will condemn your present generation—for the Ninevites turned from sin to God when they heard Jonah preach, and now One far greater than Jonah is here. ⁴² The Queen of the South will also stand in judgment and condemn this generation—for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom. And today One greater and wiser than Solomon is among you.

⁴³ Let Me tell you what will happen to this wicked generation: When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it rattles around through deserts and other dry places looking for a place to rest—but it does not find anywhere to rest. ⁴⁴ So the spirit says, “I will return to the house I left.” And it returns to find that house unoccupied, tidy, swept, and sparkling clean. ⁴⁵ Well, then not only does one spirit set up shop in that sparkling house, but it brings seven even more wicked spirits along.  And the poor man—the house—is worse off than he was before. This evil generation will suffer a similar fate.

Our spirit is definitely a part of our heart,
but as seen in (1 Peter 3:4), it is only a part. Sin, iniquity, unbelief, etc., come from the heart but not the born-again spirit.
 (Hebrews 4:12) suggests that spirit and soul are both part of the heart; hence, 
the scriptures admonish us to believe with all our heart (Acts 8:37),
 have singleness of heart (Col. 3:22),
 and tell us our hearts can have two minds or ways of thinking (Jas. 4:8).

Even Christians still struggle with things like pride and foolishness which Jesus said came out of our heart. It's certain that our born again spirit is not the source of these sins.
 The heart encompasses more than our spirit.

The English word "soul" comes from the Greek word "psuche," translated "heart, life, mind, and soul."
 The mind is the principle and leading part of the soul, followed by the will and emotions.
We could also describe the soul as being the hidden part of all existing beings or what most people would call the personality.
The soul is the center of the feelings and emotions, appetites and desires, as well as sense perception and consciousness.

The soul may also speak of the totality of a person - his total being or self, a person, and the hidden man or inward man. The soul and the body do not get born again.
 It is the spirit of man that becomes totally new at salvation.

Therefore, although every believer receives the same miraculous spiritual rebirth, the visible results of that inward change will vary from person to person according to how much he renews his mind.
The term "heart" can include all of the inner man - spirit, soul, or any portion thereof.
The peace of God will keep your heart at rest in Christ Jesus.

Let Him guide your  heart.    It is your choice ....
